AFTER TWO MONTHS

Love is very powerful. It takes two souls and unites them into one. It makes you laugh more, love more and discover more. Amara had always wanted a loving future with Richard and now that everything was finally better, she can dream of it again. There is always a looming sense of danger that something bad will happen but she has Ric and she is ready for anything the universe brings at them. The disdain, hate and discord she felt in the last four years changed into love, happiness and harmony since Ric was back in her life.

"You are again zoning out."

"Sorry I was thinking of something else."

"Are you sure its something and not someone?"

"Jasmine, I don't know how will he react. Do you think he will be happy? Oh my god! What if he gets angry?"

"Amara take a deep breath. You really need to relax. If he gets to choose between you and oxygen, I'm sure he will choose you. He loves you. No, he is madly, obsessively and crazily in love with you."

"Are you sure?"

"Damn! Pregnancy does make people crazy. You are really asking me that?"

"I guess he do love me."

"Trust me he'll be the happiest man in the planet if you tell him."

"Is everything ready? Did you made it exactly how I told you?"

"I've checked it twice. The garden looks like a wedding venue with all the decorations. Noah was asking me about it. I told him you planned a date night for Richard. Later, I'm going to rub it on his face.

"You do that. My feet hurt. I'll be in the garden. Send Ric when he is back."

"Yes boss."

Amara knew he'll love the news but there was still a fear what will she do if he doesn't. She fell asleep while thinking about his reactions. She was deep in sleep when Ric found her in the garden one hour later. She looked like an angel sleeping in heaven with how beautiful the garden was decorated. He knew it wasn't any date of celebrating. Because all the dates were printed in his brain like it was his name. No matter how many times he looks at her his heart always jumps out. There was always an air of serenity around her. Having her with him is like having God's blessing with him all the time. Well, she is heavenly. Although he knew she loves him, he was always worried what if she decides to leave his world. No one wants to be in the world of violence, gun and power. This always bring him close to a panic attack. Of course, he will not stop her but he knows this time he won't be able to take it if they part. Caressing her hair, he softly called out her.

"Baby, wake up."

"You came."

"I'll always come for you."

"I love you."

"I love you a little more than infinity. It's good to come home to your fiancé and a little better when she had planned such a beautiful date."

"Actually, I want to talk about something very important."

"Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, everything's fine but I don't if it'll continue to be. After I tell you what I want to."

Ric could feel his heart beating profusely. He can't even think what he'll do if she says she wants to go back. He could feel his body freezing.

"Please tell me its not true baby. I'm not ready for this."

"Oh god! Ric don't do this. Please."

"Amara, please don't make me do this. You know I can't see your tears. Baby, please we'll talk. There are ways we can solve this problem."

"Problem? Did you just call our child a problem? I can't believe it. I knew we didn't talk about starting a family but how dare you call our baby a problem?"

"Our baby?"

"Actually, no its my baby, since you don't want her or him"

"A... A... Are you saying we are pregnant? Oh my god am I going to be a father? Is it true baby?"

"I believe yes. I mean that's what the test says."

"Just to be sure you are telling me you are pregnant and not that you are going to leave me?"

"Yes, you idiot.

He took Amara in his arms as he twirled her all around. Ric's face lit up like Christmas. His happiness knew no bound. His heart was filled with joy.

"I'm going to be a dad. You are going to be a mom. Have we really created a live together baby?"

"Yes, we did. Our child is going to laugh so hard when he knows what happened today."

"I love you so much Amara Wesley. I can't thank you enough for this precious gift. You made me the happiest man today. I swear I'll be the best dad in the world."

Amara couldn't stop the tear that left her eyes. They have come a long way. Now they are going to parents. She took his face in her hands and kissed him softly. She'll always love him. They are going to be parents. It felt nice saying this.
