"Jungkook, no! It's a trap!", Taehyung yelled, the warning words bringing Jungkook's attention back to his dear boyfriend.
Chris laughed loudly. The switch of attention lasted only a second but it was enough for Chris to start the fire thrower with a mere push of his finger. The command was instant and the consequences severe:
Fire roared down to the men outside and they scattered with screams. One police officer fell to the ground, screaming as he rolled around in the sand around the tower, trying to kill the fire burning his jacket.
Jungkook's back crashed against the door of a police car as he hid behind it. The roaring of the fire thrower sounded another time, holding them away from approaching the tower. The actor was not dumb, he knew exactly what that thing was replacing: the dragon of the fairytale.
Except this wasn't a fairytale, this was a real turned nightmare.
Chris' insane cackling sounded through the breaks between the sounds of the fire thrower. He was having fun burning them down. "This insane psycho", Jungkook cursed.
Namjoon had stayed right: they found only one corn maze in Gangseo-gu, with a tower in its middle, it was advertised as an 'adventure for young and old with the final challenge in its middle, fighting the way up to the treasure consisting of candy'.
Funny, because the advertisement was nothing like the reality.
A wave of heat engulfed them once more and Jungkook grit his teeth. He smelled burning flesh, melting metal and heard shouts of agony and screams to surrender. And then he heard Chris' demonic laughter and Taehyung's helpless cries.
Taehyung was up there, with this psycho. And Jungkook had no way to reach him.
"Jungkook", a hissed call of his name turned his attention to the police car next to him. he turned face to face with his friends, Namjoon holding the frightening figures of Jimin and Hoseok in his bulky arms, protecting them with his larger frame while Seokjin and Yoongi were pressed against the side of the police car.

Jungkook read an intention in Seokjin's eyes and he immediately shook his head. "That's a stupid idea, Hyung, you'll get roasted!", he hissed in protest. But Seokjin shook his head.
"It's the only way, and you know it. You have to save Tae, Jungkook-ah. Let us distract him. If his fire is focused on us, he won't notice you slipping into the entrance. It's on the left side of the tower", Seokjin instructed him. Yoongi to his side listened to his words before a determined expression formed on his face, equal to the one on Seokjin's face.
"We'll distract him, go! Save your boyfriend!", Seokjin shouted over the again upcoming roaring of the fire thrower. Jungkook shot him a short look. Yoongi next to Seokjin nodded, face pale.
"Go", he whispered which was the last push Jungkook needed. He didn't like the thought of his friends offering themselves as baits but what other option did he have?
"Hey Fuckface! I'm here!", Seokjin yelled and stood up from his position behind the car, waving his hands over his head. Yoongi had crawled towards the three others, telling them about Jin's plan in a rush.
"No, I'm here, Asshole!" It was Jimin to stand up and wave his hands above his head too, determined to get his best friend back, even if it meant risking his own safety.
Jungkook was so grateful for his friends, he made a mental note to invite them all to dinner when this was all over.
Then, he slipped inside the entrance to the tower.
Taehyung on the other side stared down horrified at the chaos Chris had caused. His friends were in danger, Taehyung had to do something! He was not going to watch how his kidnapper hurt his friends and his boyfriend.
"Stop! You're fucking insane!", Taehyung screamed at Chris, distracting him with his words so he could free his hands from Chris' bruising grip so he could finally stop him from activating the fire thrower over and over again.

"I'm doing this for us. So we can be together", Chris reasoned, he was so convinced that his doing was right, so deep in his fantasy that he couldn't see the brutal chaos he was causing with his actions.
"I DON'T WANT TO BE WITH YOU!", Taehyung yelled angrily, finally getting his hands free and he pushed Chris away from the fire thrower. Taehyung used the opportunity in which Chris stumbled away to stop the fire thrower, pressing his thumb heavily on the power off button.
Chris bellowed in rage, pushing Taehyung away and smacking him to the floor. Taehyung fell onto his already sprained wrist and it twisted in a weird ankle, a horrible crack being the sound to follow.
"YOU DUMB BITCH!", Chris raged, trying to turn the fire thrower back on, but the moments in which it was off had been enough for the police to invade the tower.
Chris turned to the sobbing boy on the ground, slipping out a pocket knife out of his robes. His picture didn't remind of a human anymore, it was twisted so brutally to insanity that he looked nothing like himself anymore.
Evil intentions were written on this mask of danger when he approached Taehyung. Said male scurried backwards but he couldn't get up fast enough. Chris had grabbed his ankle, throwing Taehyung back onto the floor. The male brought his broken wrist to his chest, crying in pain and fear.
"If I can't have you, then no one will", Chris seethed, his eyes comically wide and twisting. He lifted the pocket knife. Taehyung froze, staring up to Chris in shook. He couldn't move, the panic numbed his body as he face the shining knife in Chris' hands, ready to strike down.
But another body crashed into him, making Chris himself fall to the ground. It was Jungkook, now holding his arm where Chris' knife had sliced a long wound, blood already darkening his shirt.
"That's not for you to decide, bastard", Jungkook said, standing protectively in front of Taehyung who hurried to his feet, pressing his wrist against his chest. Relief washed over
"YOU WILL NOT TAKE HIM AWAY FROM ME, JEONGSHAN! TAEHWA IS MINE!", Chris yelled, getting back to his feet and attacking Jungkook. The brunet stumbled when he was harshly pushed backwards, moving away a little from Taehyung.
He screamed Taehyung's name, warning him to move but he didn't have to. Chris tried to grab Taehyung again but the smaller had enough: he lifted his healthy hand and punched Chris into the face.
Chris went to the ground with a broken nose and blood streaming out of it.
Police men finally arrived at the scene, finding Jungkook kneeling next to a crying Taehyung who was nearly blacking out from pain, both injured. Chris slowly regained consciousness with a groan.
He sat up only to be tackled back to the ground before he could fully move.
"Please arrest my brother", Jackson Wang said icily, staring back at Chris who was held down by the police men, raging and kicking his legs but with no avail.
A paramedic was already tending to Jungkook's and Taehyung's wounds and Jackson finally took it upon himself to let justice decide over his younger brother.
"No more Illusions, now, brother. Your insane fantasy finds an end now."

Lost In Translation
If you're one to travel the roads, you may have heard of me. You may have heard my Names in the stories, the songs, and the whispers of the road. Perhaps you've even seen me during my travels, speaking to a bird of blue light, or on a city street, performing small acts for coin and repute. Or perhaps you may know me as the Skystrider, who walked with the wind. Or the Voiceless, a man of song without speech. You may know me as the Tutor, who taught the Lion of Summer how to fight, or the Traveler, who has walked all the roads of the earth. I am all of these things. And people have branded me a myth. But people don't understand what a myth is. They haven't heard the songs lost to our tongues, nor have they seen the things I've seen. They haven't gone to the places I've gone. My feet have walked the plains, the seas, and the clouds. I have spoken languages unspoken; tongues lost to time. I have sung to the earth, held the moon in my arms, and walked the roads that your heroes hesitate to even mention. I have outwitted Demons. I have danced with the Fae. My songs have been heard by lords of wind and ash, and my steps have echoed in the bellies of gargantuan beasts the likes of which you have never seen. These are what real myths are. And me? I'm no legend. I'm just the bard stupid enough to poke the real ones with a stick. Discord link here. [Disclaimer: Book 1 of this story will likely be published in KU by around the start of 2022, so please keep that in mind. Book 2 and onwards will continue here until they are published as well.]

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

Am I The Only One Who Is Not Forced to Migrate Across Worlds....?
A random isekai adventure might not be random. Underlying conspiracies, not-so-kind world and most importantly two-faced characters. Only time can reveal the flaws of the so-called Migrators! *** I am rewriting the novel. All this time, I have honing my skills as a writer. As my first novel, this novel served as a self-reflection of how much I improved later on. This doesn't have the most unique of plots but as a first novel, I still have some aspirations and memories.
