(Y/N)'s POV:
I just came back from a hostage rescue operation, everything went well and we made it back without any losses. I enter the driveway of the house I bought a few years back From the money from my overseas deployment and the money I inherited from my parents and make my way to the door as soon as I enter the house I get a text from nick.
(A picture of the house for reference
Hey mate want to go grab something to eat at the bakery?
Sure, I'm gonna take a shower first. Lets met there in 30 minutes?
Cool with me, see you there.
Nick is one of my teammates in the seal's and my best friend since I first joined the Military. I would trust him with my life but that comes with the danger of our job.
I make my way to the bathroom and undress to take a shower. while I'm standing under the shower my mind goes back to the girls. I haven't heard from them in 10 years they just left me they didn't even say goodbye for all this time I have been asking myself what I did wrong. one day we were best friends and the next they leave without saying a word.
After I finish showering I change my clothes and watch the news on the television in my bedroom. when the reporter says something that get my Attention
Breaking news, The famous pop group K/DA was fired from their recording company. The reasons for this are not known.
After I hear that, I turn off the TV, the girls are no longer my problem. Why should I care for them when they obviously don't care for me? I look at my phone and see that I have to leave if I want to get to the meeting with nick on time. So I get to my car and set off for the bakery. The owners of the bakery are the parents of a friend of ours, he died a few months ago during a mission since then it is a tradition of me and nick to eat there after every mission.

When I arrive at the bakery I notice a car that I have never seen in the area but I do not pay much attention to it. I head to the door but before I can go in I get a call from nick.
"Sorry but I can't make it my mom needs help with something." he says with a bit of frustration in his voice
"No problem, everything ok?" I already have a feeling what is going on. Nick's mother is a very nice woman and good mother but her boyfriend is a different thing. He is an alcoholic, and nick has had to kick him out of his mother's house several times, so I was a little stressed out when he said that his mother needed help.
"Yes, everything is fine, do not worry. Say hello to Mr. and Mrs. Davis for me."
"Sure, call if you need help." I answer before I hang up. After I end the call with nick I go into the bakery and am immediately greeted by two familiar faces.
"Good morning (Y/N) it's been way too long. How are you?" Mrs. Davis says with a loving voice She comes to me and hugs me, which I return immediately.
"Hey kid how did the mission go?" Mr Davis comes up to me and and gives me a handshake.
"Everything went well, and nick sends his greetings, unfortunately he could not make it because of a problem with his mother." after I say this they immediately know what I'm talking about.
"her boyfriend again?" she say with a now slightly pissed off voice.
"probably, but he didn't say anything specific so we will see..." I answer. since their son introduced us to them they are like aunt and uncle to us. they know almost everything about me and nick and try to help us where they can.

I sit down at a window seat and order my usual meal and a coffee while the two go back behind the counter to take care of the customers. After a few minutes Mrs. Davis comes with my order and puts it on my table
"thank you very much Mrs. Davis." I say with a smile on my face
(Y/N) there are a couple of people here who would like to talk to you..." her voice seems a bit angry but above all nervous
'who the hell wants to talk to me? and why is she so nervous about it?' I think to myself when I hear a voice behind me
"H-Hey (Y/N) It's been a while." says the voice I recognize immediately
'ah that's why.... FUCK'
