Y/n Pov
Its been about 2 months since the whole bring-your-parent to school week ended, and everything has been the same since then. The parents drop off their kids to school and greet me as well but I noticed something different.... specifically with two students. Leanne has been isolating herself from the other kids lately and doesnt want to be bothered. But also Taewoo.. hes been super happy and hes been asking me the most random questions lately...

Waking up and doing my usual morning routine I hurried to my closet and pulled out some clothes before running to the washroom getting ready.
Suddenly hearing knocking at my door, thinking it was just Jihoon I grabbed my purse and walked over. The knocking became louder (???) "I'll be right there!" I yelled out while putting my heels on. Finally walking over to the door, unlocking it and swinging the door open I met eyes with the one person I didnt want to see. "I see you didnt move out..." he commented pushing his way into my apartment. Turning back I crossed my arms "What the hell do you want now?? Didnt feel satisfied when you hit me last time? Did you come here to hit me again?"
Turning back to face me he sighed "Y/n I told you I didnt mean to hit you... I dont know what happened. My hand just suddenly moved on its own. I let my anger take over my body! Please believe me!" Shaking my head I opened the door wider "Please leave... Honestly seeing your face the first thing this morning is really ruining my mood."
He heaved a heavy sigh before walking out but stopped outside of the door. "Y/n please. Lets talk about this... about US one last time. I have so many things I want to explain to you.. will you please listen?" (Is he serious right now???) I stood there silent not believing the words that were coming out of his mouth. Stepping out of my apartment I locked my door and was about to leave until he grabbed my wrist making me stop. "Y/n please! If you walk away.... I-I" Trying to shake his hand off of mine I glared at him "you'll what?? You'll lay your hands on her again???" Turning my head I saw Jihoon marching his way towards us. Grabbing his hand and harshly removing it from mine Jihoon linked arms with me and pulled me away.
Hurrying into the elevator the doors closed and he let go of me "what the hell was he doing here?!" he asked while glancing up at me. Sighing I leaned back onto the wall behind me and responded "He keeps on saying he wants to get back together... he also said he wants to talk one last time so he could explain everything to me. Obviously I dont want to talk.. I already know everything". Once the elevator door opened we both walked out and headed to work in a pissed off mood.

Waking up, I did my usual morning routine, got dressed and woke up Taewoo before making Taewoo and I some breakfast.
Once helping Taewoo get dressed and such we both ate our breakfast and headed out to his school. While the drive there was quiet, Taewoo decided to ask me something. "Appa, why are you dressed up so nicely today? You dont have work.. are you hanging out with uncle Chim?" he questioned while looking at me with his big doe-eyes. "O-Oh uhmmm... ani Taewoo.. appa is just dropping you off to school. I dont want to drop you off while wearing pajamas" "Appa your lying..." he suddenly stated while looking at me with a bright smile.
Cocking an eyebrow at him I chuckled "Okay Taewoo, why do you think Appa dressed up nicely??" I looked at him through the rear view mirror of the car. "Because of Miss Y/n!!!" he chimed while throwing his hands up in the air. Feeling my cheeks heat up I stayed silent since he definitely hit the nail on the head. "Appa am I right?! Do you like Miss Y/n!!!" he exclaimed full of excitement. Sighing in defeat I nodded "Ne Taewoo, I like Miss Y/n.. dont tell her!" I said sternly and he nodded while giggling.
Finally arriving at the school and walking Taewoo to his class I noticed a pair entering the school ahead of us. A bright smile forming on my face I quickened our pace to catch up to them. "Miss Y/n!" Taewoo yelled out gaining the pairs attention. They both turned their heads and once they saw us they smiled but when I looked at Y/n I could tell something was off.... (I wonder whats bothering with her... Is she alright?) I thought concerned. "Ah hello Taewoo, how are you??" she asked while bending down to ruffle his hair. "Im good!" Taewoo answered while looking up smiling at her. "H-Hey Taewoo! do you want to see something cool in the music room???" Jihoon suddenly suggested to my son and he happily nodded before following the smaller male into the school leaving me and Y/n alone. (I should really thank him later for doing this for me... he must have noticed how I felt about Y/n..)
"Uhmmm would you like to have some tea with me in the teachers lounge?" she suggested. Nodding my head I followed her into the school and down the hallway until we entered a room I have never been into before until now.
"Go make yourself comfortable I'll go make us some tea" Nodding I took a seat at the back corner of the room and just watched Y/n from afar. She took her time but soon after she walked over and handed me a cup of freshly brewed tea before taking a seat beside me. It was quiet and for some reason I suddenly found my eyes drifting to the side locking onto her legs. (Legs.... wait. NO STOP IT) I thought while shaking my head slightly. Taking my attention off of her legs I glanced up and noticed that Y/n seemed to be deep in her thoughts.

Clearing my throat I nudged her with my shoulder and soon got her full attention. "Hey you alright??? I couldnt help but notice that you seemed to be upset" I questioned, putting our cups both down she leaned back into the couch and sighed "To be honest Jungkook... im really not." she confessed while placing her arm over her eyes covering them. Turning my body towards her I then proceeded to ask "why?? Is everything alright?? did something happen?? ... oh! I-I mean if you dont want to talk i-its totally fine!" I quickly said not wanting to come off as demanding or anything. Seeing her remove her hand she smiled "Will you be willing to listen??? I have a lot of things on my mind right now" Smiling at her words I nodded. "Its about Jongin...." (Ugh... that prick.. he better not have done anything to her..) I felt my brows furrow but she continued.
She told me about what had happened earlier this morning at her apartment building with Jongin. "-And then he had the audacity to tell me that he wanted to explain why everything happened. Like! I-I UGH!" she groaned in annoyance as she placed her face in her hands. "I already moved on! and he thinks he could just come back and think everything is alright?! I just want to forget about him completely. Why cant he just leave me alone...." I didnt know what to do.. My heart was screaming telling me to comfort her, to hold her tightly and let her know that im here for her but my mind was telling me NO! DONT DO IT! YOUR MOVING TO FAST!. Contemplating on what to do I decided to listen to my heart...
Already facing her I reached my arms out and gently wrapped them around her body bringing her into my embrace. "I cant say I understand what your going through.... b-but you dont have to go through this all by yourself" (what am I saying!!???) she pulled away a little and looked up at me confused "w-what are you saying?" "I-Im saying that I-I will always be there for you... Even though we've only known each other for a short amount of time I just wanted to let you know that you can always talk to me... I'll always be there for you Y/n" (Oh my goodness!!?? THIS IS SO CRINGY JEON JUNGKOOK!!!)
She looked at me with wide eyes and we just stared at each other (She probably thinks Im totally weird!) I was about to take back what I said until she smiled and wrapped her arms around my waist snuggling her face into my chest. "Thank you... so much Jungkook. That really means a lot to me" when those words left her mouth I couldn't help but feel as if my heart was going to explode out of my chest. After a couple of minutes of us just holding each other the bell suddenly rang and we quickly parted from each other before standing up.
"I-I guess its time for me to go to class now..." "y-yeah.. l-let me walk you!" I then followed her out of the lounge and down the hall towards her classroom where we both saw all the kids talking to each other. Finally arriving at the door of her class she turned to me and smiled "I guess its time for us to go our separate ways for now" "y-yeah... I better get going. Oh thank you for the tea.." I turned on the heels of my shoes and began to walk away until I heard my name being called out. "Jungkook wait!" I could hear the clicking of her heels as if she was running towards me. Turning my head she suddenly reached out towards me and pulled me down by my neck before quickly kissing my cheek softly. "T-Thank you." I was about to say something but she quickly ran off to her class.
(W-What just happened?!?!?) I thought as I already knew that my face was as red as a tomato. Continuing to walk towards the front entrance I stopped and just stood there trying to process what the heck just happened. "Yo Jungkook... your really red you know that???" Jihoons voice suddenly spoke up.
"Did something happen??~" he wiggled his brows at me causing my cheeks to heat up even more.
"N-No! N-Nothing happened!"
"Ah~ what a bad liar"

From the intimate narrative of a childhood that was never her own, her year spent struggling to find the person she is rather than the person her family needs her to be, the secrets she hides, and the truths she finds, Halle discovers herself on the fabled island of Providence as her House collapses around her, bids to enter a legendary school of magic in her homeland of Auctor, and fights for a crown she never knew she wanted. The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
