《How it all began (A Rohit-Virat Friendship Fanfiction)》The best in the world

In a funny coincidence, Virat and Rohit were involved in yet another run out in the very 2nd match of the series, the one who got out being...guess who? Virat again.
This time Virat kept a careful control on his fleeting temper, because come on, he had been crying on Rohit's shoulder less than a week ago, and with what face could he yell at Rohit now?
Rohit saw that Virat didn't look angry, so he didn't have any hesitation in saying sincerely, "I'm sorry, Virat."
"It's ok," said Virat graciously, as he was walking off. "It wasn't your fault."
After India's inning ended (in which Rohit scored a 100) everyone was expecting another Rohit-Virat battle to break out, but they were baffled to see them speaking normally to each other.
"Have you two decided to grow up at last?" Jinks asked them drily.
Rohit smirked at Virat knowingly.
___________
In that Australia series in January 2016, Rohit scored 2 hundreds and Virat scored 2 too, all four of them in losing causes. Rohit still got Man of the Series award after India won the fifth ODI.
India won the T20 series, though, and Virat got Man of the Series there, and in the Presentation, the interviewer asked told him, "And batting with Rohit Sharma...you and he have just lit up Australia in the last three weeks...you both played beautifully--what do you say about batting with him?"
Virat looked around at Rohit, who was standing with the team and some wild impulse compelled Rohit to do a ridiculous victory dance on the field which left the others in splits.
Virat rolled his eyes and turned back to the interviewer. "This is the third time I'm saying, I'm a big fan of his batting. The way he plays once he gets going, there's no better sight in world cricket..."

The Indians in the crowd yelled for all they were worth.
Rohit looked at the cameras in such a superior way that even Virat couldn't stop himself from grinning.
After the Presentation Ceremony, Virat grabbed Rohit's arm and told him, "You act like a complete idiot in front of everyone."
"Look at who's speaking," said Rohit, his eyes twinkling. "I was just trying to behave like you."
"I don't behave like that in public!" said Virat indignantly.
"You don't even realise that you do," said Rohit, thumping him on the back, and he dragged a grumbling Virat to the dressing room.
___________
After that series, Rohit became 4th in ICC ODI rankings, and Virat had already been first, making the them the only pair from the same country in the top 5.
When Rohit and Virat got going together, they could only hope that Rohit runs Virat out, otherwise it would always be curtains on the opposition.
