《Sqampy's Adoption》Going Back

Flo's PoV:
It was amazing to see Stampy and Sqaishey again but I was still shaking. I was never a good runner at school, so running for that length of time had literally nearly killed me.
I was sat on there sofa shaking, with Stampy on one side and Sqaishey on the other, while they tried to comfort me.
"Flo, your really skinny." Stampy said as he lifted my shirt up a bit so he could see my ribs. He went to touch my stomach, so I moved away from his hand and backed into Sqaishey. I didn't like people touching me that much, not after my Dad.
"I'm sorry." Stampy said looking concerned. "I'm gonna go out and get you a bar of chocolate, maybe that will make you feel better." He said, standing up and walking out, giving me a small smile on the way.
I knew Stampy didn't mean to scare me, but I couldn't help from backing away, it was just instinct now.
After Stampy had left Sqaishey put on the TV. TV, that was something I hadn't experienced in a while. I found myself watching it, not for the program, but just at the fact that it was a TV and the fact that I could do that now. I had got out, I just hoped Lizzie was doing alright, without me, as well.
Stampy took a surprisingly long time to get back and when he did he looked like he had something on his mind, I chose to ignore it though, as it was probably only the fact that I had just got back after being kidnapped. That's gotta have some effect of them.
Stampy handed me the chocolate and I quickly ripped the packet open and started to eat it. It tasted so good! I hadn't had something like this in ages

For the next few hours we just sat, talked, ate chocolate and watched tv. It was great to be back with them!
It got to the evening, and there was a sudden knock at the door. Stampy got up to open it and I saw Izzy run in, closely followed by Squid.
Izzy pulled me off the sofa and gave me a tight hug before dragging me upstairs to the bathroom, pulling me in then locking the door behind us.
"Flo, the people who took you, who were they?" She asked, sounding worried.
"One of them was my dad and the other was his friend." I said sighing. I still couldn't believe he did that to me.
"I KNEW IT!" Izzy yelled. Wait how did she know that?
"I met your sister in the park," she said, reading my mind," She said that she'd recently met her sister, then this man came and took her away. I recognised him. So I put two and two together." Izzy finished.
"Oh... coincidence or what?!" I said, chuckling slightly about that happening. "Wait, Izzy, we have to go rescue Lizzie!" I said, realising Lizzie was still there.
"You sure you want to do that today? I mean, you only just got back, are you sure you want to go back there?" Izzy said looking unsure.
I thought about it for a second, she was right, I really didn't want to go back there so fast, but family was more important. And, right now, Lizzie was the only family I had.
"Yes I'm sure."
----------------------------------------------
Squid and Stampy were reluctant at first to take us but, after a bit of persuading, they gave in and Squid was currently driving us to the house, with my direction.

We arrived 10 minutes later and we climbed out the car. We didn't really have a detailed plan. It was sort of knock on the door and threaten to call the police unless he just gave Lizzie to us. If that didn't work Squid and Stampy were going to try and restrain him while we got Lizzie.
So off we went up the path to the front door of the house and knocked.
After a few seconds the door swung open, and there he stood, my very angry dad.
"YOU!" He yelled, "What are you doing here!?"
He tried to advance but Squid stood in his way, while me and Izzy stood behind Stampy.
"We're not looking for trouble, we're only here for Lizzie." Squid said firmly.
Dad stepped back with a sly smile, something was wrong, I knew it.
"What have you done to her!?" I shouted, stepping out from behind Stampy.
"Oh, I haven't done anything to that little Brat. She left herself, right after you let yourself out." He slyly.
"You mean, she's gone?" I said, quieter this time.
"Oh yes, she's probably out of town by now. She seemed in quite a hurry to get away, I can't imagine why." He said, pretending to look hurt.
"You only have yourself to blame for that!" Stampy snarled at him.
"We're leaving now." Squid said, pushing Stampy back down the path to avoid anything getting worse.
"Nice meeting you!" Dad called out down the path.
We just ignored him and continued back to the car and then back home as well. In silence.
Izzy's PoV:
Once we got back, we had to go back to the care home where Flo was going to be staying again. Although I knew that Stampy wanted her to stay with him and Sqaishey, that wasn't possible until the papers had been filled out.
We then dropped Stampy off at his house and went back to ours.
It had been a long day and although I often found it hard, as soon as we got into the house I felt so sleepy I nearly collapsed on the stairs.
I slowly crawled upstairs, and walked into the nearest bedroom, which happened to be Squid's and Nicole's.
Nicole was already sat there, so I just cuddled up next to her and fell asleep.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
