"Get off my property, now!" the woman scurried past the two of you, accidentally brushing her arm against yours. Is it even possible that a human's skin can be so cold?

"Why?" you grinned, delighted to see her in that look. She looked so adorable and cute wearing her everyday clothes.

"You are such a naughty brat.

Get out of my way, I don't want to see you ever again. Not at school, not at my house and especially not with my daughter!", she had held the door open, the cold wind rushed in and messed up her hair.

"Mother! She's not cheeky at all, she's here to help me with my homework." Rina intervened.

"Apparently you haven't met her bad side. So rude, disrespectful and-"

"Mother!" Rina interrupted her angry mother. Oddly enough, you stood still next to Rina, wishing that this woman would continue to list various bad traits of yours.

Instead of crying in horror or getting angry, your smile widened even further.

"She volunteered to help me with my school stuff, so please don't interfere!" Rina said desperately. She sounded like it wasn't the first time she'd asked her mother not to interfere in her affairs.

To your surprise, Lilith just rolled her eyes before slamming the door and giving you a deathly glare.

Maybe she was tired, and besides, she was in a hurry.

She had a date.

"Y/n, did you hear me? Shall we go to my room?" You heard Rina's voice and you averted your gaze from the mother's bare, beautiful legs.

Your eyes traveled over her body, up to her arms crossed across her chest.

"Of course," you smiled smugly, allowing yourself to look the woman up and down one more time before following Rina to her room.

"Oh my god look out! He's coming!"

You opened your eyes, startled, looking into an empty darkness.

What happened?

You were lying on a bed, the covers over your body, the pillow under your head. You slowly remembered.

Rina and you started watching the new season of your favorite series together until it got late and you fell asleep. Rina hadn't tried you to-

"Help!"

This time you jumped out of bed realizing it was Rina's mother's voice. That didn't surprise you, because after all, she was living here.

Unpleasant.

She came back from her date very late because when you fell asleep she wasn't there.

Who was up there with her?

Was she in danger?

"Lilly?" you whispered softly, arriving upstairs.

It was so dark that you tripped several times.

"Let her go!", the voice came from a room near you. It was her voice. Again.

You scratched and knocked softly on the door, regretting that you didn't take something with you to defend yourself with in case there was a burglar inside.

"Lilieth, answer me. Otherwise I'll have to come in. I don't want to be responsible for you dying or anything like that..." Your fist knocked on the door.

"Okay Lil, I'm coming in now." You pressed yourself against the door, ending up in a dark room. Light shone through a window from outside onto the bed Rina's mother was lying on.

She looked horrible.
