《INVITE ME ROUND》Chapter 27

"Ladys and Gentleman...", Lilith took your hand and presented you to her colleagues.
You recognized Mr. Buckman and Mr. Black immediately. They laughed proudly, each one of them having a young girl beside them.
You felt relieved when you found Harmony in the group. Although
Mr. Eastwood was by her side, it was nice to have someone you could trust.
Harmony winked at you while letting Mr. Eastwood put his arm around her shoulders.
"Lilith has always had a soft spot for the younger ones." You blushed at Joyce's words.
"Can we go...?" you whispered in Ms. Ritters ear.
You trusted Lilith.
If you didn't, you probably wouldn't have forgiven her.
This couldn't feel right.
A married beautiful woman falling in love with any student was just something that was written in books.
"Do you mind company, sweetheart?" She asked darkly before she sat down next to the others and pulled you onto the comfortable surface of the sofa.
You looked into every face of the people sitting around you.
Never in your previous stays had you seen one of these people dance as many others did.
These people around you were way too fine for that.
It was the moment you looked into Lucy's venomous eyes that you began to feel an inner turmoil. If it were up to her, you wouldn't be wanted here.
If your parents had known what you didn't tell them, they would have sent you to another college long ago.
"So you're back here, bitch," Lucy gave you a weary smile.
Before you could say anything, Lilith disappeared around the corner with one of the teachers.
The crowd wouldn't stop talking. They would laugh, and again they would talk about things you had no idea of. You felt wrong in this place with this strangers.
"Y/n! Why don't you have one of my homemade drinks too? I promise I didn't put any drugs in there." Mr. Eastwood spoke in a casual tone and looked good doing it.

It was slowly becoming a habit that after each of his sentences the female members laughed.
The members of an illegal fraction.
"Evelyn-", someone said.
"Oh I forgot my bag..." Holding Mr. Eastwood's drink in your hand, your eyes drifted to your right.
It was the woman from before.
The woman with the unique dark blonde hair, the emerald green eyes and the voluminous red lips.
You watched her pick up a small white shoulder bag from the floor.
She looked so stunning without dressing up at all. She wore simple jean's and a forest green knit sweater.
Her large hand wandered through her slightly wavy hair and it felt like a pang in the heart when she looked into your eyes.
She slung her bag over her shoulder and lifted a corner of her mouth.
"Hi..." it then came out of your mouth.
She blinked in surprise.
This woman just wanted to get her bag and leave. You didn't know her and she didn't know you either.
***
"Probably she thought I'm completely dumb." You buried your face in your hands.
"I confused her...", you rubbed your eyes, looking helplessly at your best friend.
"She must think I'm-"
"God, Y/n. I didn't know you could be so obsessed with older women..." she smiled in amusement.
"What are you talking about? Instead of laughing, you can just help me." You pouted.
"Calm down, I'm sorry. Tell me what happened then?"
You took a deep breath.
"It went like this..."
"Hello there," she smiled wider this time. Her smile made you feel strangely happy.
"I don't think I've met you before," she gently held out her hand.
It would not be a good first impression to offer a sweaty hand to a pretty woman.
You got up and looked around for Harmony. As your eyes met you formed an SOS with your lips.
"I have to go," you said finally, looking at the woman's slightly confused yet friendly face.

Evelyn.

"I don't think I'll ever see her again..." you squeezed Harmony's hand.
"Oh god I'm not in my right mind. What do I think I'm doing here.
It was a grown woman who has probably born six children already.
Surely she has a husband waiting for her, this fucking lucky guy-"
"Can you please stop talking so fast you're confusing me." Harmony had been a little upset that she had to leave the party because of you but it had been an emergency.
"Remember when you called me crazy for dating a teacher? What's up with you and Lilith now?"
"Nothing at all. This woman confuses me. But I don't mind what we have. She's a good catch. But still she does what she wants. Love is so exhausting...", you exhaled tiredly.
"You don't know anything about love...", she replied.
You wanted to say so much at once because she definitely was wrong. But suddenly you lost all your words.
"I've never seen her in college. Maybe she's one of the new ones?" You spoke more slowly.
Harmony shook her head.
"Mr. Eastwood tells me all about the interns or the new lecturers. He's never mentioned her."
"I don't know Harmony. She was looking at me like I don't know.
I thought I'd melt right away..."
"You're going to meet a lot of beautiful women, silly. But if it'll help you, I could ask Isaac..."
"No. Don't get him involved.
It's enough that he's interfering in my best friend's life, but you're going to keep me out of it, you understand?"
"Yes sir," she answered sullenly.
***
"Oh no," you saw the face of a familiar person who seemed happy to see you, but you turned around putting your tray of food on a table.
"Y/n," he called out anyway, getting the attention of half of the students sitting in the cafeteria.
You had no choice.
"Luke, what a nice surprise." You gave him a smile.
"Are you still going to that stupid frat party?"
"I'm still getting the invites so, I guess..." You replied, taking the chance to take your tray back.
"And I guess you're crazy. But don't worry. I won't let any innocent girls like you go to parties like this. Just watch out, I'll do something if the opportunity arises," he whispered before he left you, wearing a serious expression.
Somehow you felt worried.
What if someone revealed what happened in this building in the evenings.
The faculty and many students would be punished.
"Oh my god!" when you heard Gabriel's voice you turned around in relief.
"Who the hell was that hot handsome guy?" Gabriel looked at Luke who was now talking to a girl from our year.
"Believe me, you don't want to know that." You let Gabriel take the apple from your tray.
"So, are we going to the library again today?" he asked as usual.
"Y/n," you heard another voice.
"What's going on? Why does everyone want something from me today?" you said angrily as you had to turn around again.
"Do you have a second?"
"Oh..." you cleared your throat.
"I'll leave you both alone, Ms. Ritter", Gabriel also took the chocolate from your tray and went to the exit.
"Well, in the cafeteria- surrounded by countless students- we're not exactly alone," she spoke so elegantly and at the same time so innocently and she looked so good in her uniform. Ms. Ritter also wanted to be alone with you. Deep down you were screaming.
"...But in my classroom we are," her half-open eyes almost made you faint.

LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER (Completed)
Lady Chatterley's Lover is a novel by D. H. Lawrence, first published privately in 1928 in Italy, and in 1929 in France and Australia. An unexpurgated edition was not published openly in the United Kingdom until 1960, when it was the subject of a watershed obscenity trial against the publisher Penguin Books. Penguin won the case, and quickly sold 3 million copies. The book was also banned for obscenity in the United States, Canada, Australia, India and Japan. The book soon became notorious for its story of the physical (and emotional) relationship between a working class man and an upper class woman, its explicit descriptions of sex, and its use of then-unprintable words.
