Just any other normal day but someone had some excitement news to share and tell........

"I saw that." Sam said as Callen walked passed "Saw what?" Callen said "You looked at what I was writing." Sam pointed out "Did not." Callen taking off his jacket "How you know what I'm writing isn't classified?" Sam said "Since when is your grocery list classified, huh?" Callen asked "Don't try to guess, G." Sam replied "Morning!" Deeks said to as Kensi and himself walked around from the corner "Morning." Callen replied "Morning." Sam also said to them both "Go ahead. (whispering) Now is the time." Deeks quietly said to Kensi "Please." Kens said to him (stammers) "Guess what." Deeks said to the guys "According to Sam, I'm not allowed to." Callen replied pipping up "Just tell them." Kensi said "No, no. You can have the honors. Go for it." Deeks answered "Okay, fine, we're moving in together. In fact, I'm moving in with Deeks." Kens I said to the boys as she had a massive smile on her face

"This is true. What she's saying is her words that are truth." Deeks mentioned "That's great." Sam said to them both "Seriously, that's all you have to say? "That's great"? You, you don't have anything to say?" Kensi asked Callen "I thought you already were living together." Callen mentioned as Kensi shacked her head "You guys, congratulations! Oh, my gosh, this is so great. When's the big occasion? Well, not that big occasion. You know, could be a little premature. Not that I don't believe in you." Eric said standing on the stairs sound so excited "It's tonight. It's tonight." Deeks said as they both turned around "And I'm very excited." Kensi answered "That's so cool. Congrats, guys." Eric replied "Thank you. Your enthusiasm means a lot to me." Kensi said looking at Deeks "Us." Deeks finished "Aw, yeah, yeah. (chuckles) Are you guys gonna get a puppy? A little sibling for Monty. They'd be so cute." Eric asked them "Oh. No. We weren't gonna get a puppy. We're just gonna move in together. No big deal." Kens I replied "Puppies are a big deal. (clears throat) Well, uh, the final destination is, uh, Hetty's office. That's a puppy-free zone." Eric answered as he went back upstairs

After the team was informed on the case Kensi and Deeks made their way to the safe house to find out who they were protecting..........

"Hetty has a knack for old buildings," Kensi said going up the stairs "evidently. I got to be honest, not what I had in mind." Deeks replied "Four apartments per floor, three stories. Looks pretty empty to me." Kensi said looking around "Smells empty. Hetty's probably its sole occupant." Deeks replied "She's probably thinking of flipping it. You should help her." Kensi suggested "Go into business with Hetty? (chuckles) Are you serious?" Deeks said walking through the hallway "You're the flipping expert. Why not?" Kensi asked "First thing I'd do is lose these light fixtures, adios to this wallpaper, cover that conduit, put in some crown molding. See this linoleum floor? That's gone, because it's not 1971. Just spitballing here." Deeks explained as Kensi knocked on the door "Who is it?" The man asked "Hetty sent us." Kensi replied "You guys took your time. Come in." The man said as he opened the door "Wow. Did not see this coming." Deeks mentioned looking around "I'm beat. Been here all night." The guy said picking up his stuff "I've been there. Where's our protectee?" Kensi asked him "Bedroom. Not much of a talker." He replied "All right, we'll take it from here. Go get some sleep." Deeks said "Anything for Ms. Lange." He replied as he shut the door (door shuts) "What do you think?" Deeks said to Kensi as he opened a cabinet (whistles, chuckles) "Hello, Kensi. Deeks." Jack said coming out of the room "Jack?" Kensi said looking at him with shock

After Kensi and Deeks realised that they were protecting Kensi' ex-fiancé Jack some people needed to talk and Callen & Sam were following some leads........

(grunts) (door opens) "Hetty didn't tell us." Kensi said leaning on the front door "Thought there was a good chance she'd send you guys." Jack replied "So are you allowed to tell us what this is all about or" Kensi asked him "Six months ago, I was approached by the State Department. They heard about me when Hetty appeared before the congressional hearing. I ended up acting as a guide for this guy, Sy Riggs. I took him all over the province where I live in Afghanistan. He was cataloging historic sites. That's what he said, anyway." Jack explained as they all say down "You didn't trust him?" Desk asked as he lent on the book shelf "Uh, he kept a lot of stuff from the security detail. The people we met, things like that. Then I discovered he was keeping a separate list of places and contacts. I realized there were two lists, one for the State Department, one for him. So I contacted Hetty. She flew me out to debrief me. (sighs) Someone tried to kill me when I went to meet her." Jack continued to explain "You think Riggs found out you were in town?" Kensi said "Looks that way." Jack replied "And here we are. I wonder if Hetty has anything to nosh on. You know? I think I'm about to get hungry. I'm gonna take a look." Deeks said as he walked to the kitchen

"You look a lot better than you did the last time I saw you." Jack mentioned to her "Bruises and shackles aren't really my thing, so" she answered "You okay? Any nightmares?" He asked her "Not as many as before. You?" Kensi replied "Every night." He replied looking at her "So Hetty's got the TV, and I got the popcorn." Deeks said coming back in and putting the popcorn on the table "We're on the clock. That is Hetty's popcorn, that is Hetty's TV, and this this is quite clearly Hetty's desk." Kensi mentioned sitting at the desk "Yeah, but here's the deal-- Jack's not on the clock, maybe Jack wants to, you know, watch a movie, eat some popcorn." Deeks thought "Uh, no, thank you. Uh, the quiet is nice." Jack replied "Well, I'm gonna contact Nell and find out what she has on Riggs." Kensi mentioned as she was typing on the computer "Now Kensi's in case mode. (chuckles): There's not gonna be a lot of quiet." Desk said looking at her with the smallest smile ever as he sat on the sofa next to Jack

Kensi and Deeks was still at the safe house but they got a visitor.........

(beeping) (sighs) "Can't get through." Jack mentioned "You calling home?" Deeks asked "Yeah." He replied "You know, our ops team's got a pretty powerful telecom. I could see if they could help out." Deeks answered (clears throat): "No, that's okay. I'll, uh, I'll try again later. Sat phone coverage gets kind of flaky in my village sometimes. Just want to check on my wife and kids." Jack explained "You're remarried? I didn't know." Kensi asked looking up from her phone "Last year." He replied "Uh, what's her what's her name?" Deeks asked him "Laila She's a good woman. You'd like her." Jack said (phone rings) "Nell, uh, said that Riggs's phone is still off. Callen and Sam are headed to a motel with a lead on the shooter." Kensi read out "How do we know you're not just back there playing Tetris?" Desk said changing the subject "Really?" Kensi replied looking at him (laughs softly) "When I was home on furlough, Kensi and I would play Tetris and eat burritos one night a week. Called it Tetritos Night." Jack mentioned "Huh. That's funny. We call that a Wednesday night. (knocking) Bedroom." Deeks replied (groans) "Granger." Kensi said as he opened the door "That's how you get shot." Desk said "Can I come in?" He asked them both "By all means." She replied "Hey, Jack. It's been a while." Granger said "Can't say I'm pleased to see you." Jack replied "Aw, we're all friends here. Why don't you do a sweep of the perimeter." Granger asked Kensi and Deeks "We just did one. Although, you can never do too many perimeter sweeps." Deeks said as they both walked out the door (door closes) (lock clicks)

Kensi and Deeks were doing a perimeter sweep but Deeks wanted to say something to Kensi........that she needed to hear..........

"Being around Jack is getting to you, isn't it?" Deeks asked Kensi "I think I'm managing just fine. You're the one who's trying to be a hero." Kensi replied looking at him (scoffs) "I offered him popcorn and a movie, neither of which were mine. You have to admit it's crazy, though-- he shows up the day we move in together. I mean, not that that's fault. I'm not saying it's his fault. I'm just saying it's, you know, crazy." Deeks tried to explain to her "When Jack broke off the engagement, um I felt pretty helpless. I-I (sighs) I didn't really know how to be there for him. Um, and he had posttraumatic stress, and all I could do was cry." Kensi explained (clears throat) "And that's what anyone would do in that situation, and you got through it." He replied "Yeah, till Afghanistan. Just finding him there and saving his life and almost losing mine in the process" she continued (sniffles) "Yeah, but you got through that, too. Listen, here's the deal, Kens. If you got stuff you need to say to him, then you need to say it. You know, otherwise, it just just lives inside you." He mentioned "Yeah? I know." Kensi answered looking at each other

Kensi and Deeks decided to go and get coffee after they had a chat..........

(knocking) "Kensi and Deeks." Kensi said "Come bearing gifts" Deeks said "Yeah, cream, no sugar." Kensi said handing Jack a coffee "You remembered." Jack said "Yeah. Where's Granger?" Kensi asked him "Uh, in the other room, catching up on e-mails." Jack said (scoffs) "Or secretly taking a nap. (chuckles) Oh, sorry, you gonna Are you praying?" Deeks asked ad he put the other coffee on the table "N-No, no, just, uh, used to sitting on the ground." Jack replied "Well, that's good news, 'cause it turns out that chair-sitting is actually bad for your health." Deeks explained as he sat down "Oh, my gosh, he's gonna sell you on a treadmill desk." Kensi said sitting at the desk "I get lots of exercise. Not just herding goats. Got a weekly village basketball game." Jack mentioned (computer trilling) "Guys Riggs just turned on his phone." Kensi said looking at the computer "And the hunt is on." Deeks replied

A couple of hours later..........

"Nell just called-- Sam's meeting with Riggs to buy the list. I need you on overwatch. Deeks, you're with Jack." Granger explained "Good luck." Jack said "Thanks." She said (door opens) "Go get 'em, tiger. Did you see that look? I just got the "do not say anything inappropriate" look." Desk said as Kensi walked out the door "Oh, yeah, I-I know that look." Jack answered (short chuckle)

As Kensi went with Granger it meant that Deeks and Jack were left alone.........but how would they get along together.........

"Half of these books are in languages I don't even recognize." Jack said "We got a tech operator that swears he saw Hetty read via osmosis. Riggs got away. He left with Salib. We're tracking them now." Deeks mentioned "They'd be easier to track back in Afghanistan." Jack said "Well, we like everything instant here, you know? Instant gratification, instant streaming on Netflix." Desk replied "What's Netflix?" Jack asked (chuckles) "Oh, you're serious. You don't-you don't know what you don't know what Netflix is?" Deeks asked him "I No, I come to find the greatest happiness comes from, uh, simple things. The love of a family. Or a woman." Jack said "Was Kensi really messy when you guys were together?" Desk asked (sighs) "Clothes and trash everywhere." He replied "There was this one time where she left a trail of crumbs-- like, muffin crumbs-- that started in her car and went all the way into the house, up the steps and into her closet. Like, Hansel and Gretel could have followed these crumbs." Deeks explained to him "Yeah. I-I found her T-shirt in the microwave once." Jack replied (laughs) "We're moving in together." Deeks said coming from know where "Congratulations." Jack said "It's her idea. Not that I'm not excited about it, 'cause I am excited about it. It's just, you know, it's" Deeks said trying to explain "It's a big step." Jack said "Yeah, it's a big step for both of us. I don't know why I just said that." Deeks replied "You did torture someone for her." Jack mentioned "Boy, you don't you don't hold back, do you? You know what's crazy about that? Is that as awful as that experience was in torturing that guy I'd do it again in a heartbeat if it meant saving somebody that I love." He explained "Still weighs on you." Jack replied "And last month I woke up yelling, top of my lungs, and now that's gonna be in front of Kensi." He continued "Then don't push her away. Like I did." Jack said (knocking) "Hetty give you a gun?" Deeks asked getting up from his chair "She offered, I declined." Jack said "That might have been a mistake." He said

"It's us. Thank you." Kensi said as Deeks opened the door for them (phone rings) "Excuse me. That'll be my family now." Jack said "Hello there." Hetty said "Oh. Coming. Hey. Uh-huh. Okay, how's that?" Deeks said crouching on the floor to speak to Hetty "Hmm. You look as though you have some kind of posture problem, Mr. Deeks." Hetty said on the computer "No, no. It's not so much my posture as much as it's the-the desk is for It's Mm." Deeks said trying to explain "Listen to me. We need Kensi and Granger back with Callen and Sam. Nell." Hetty said "We picked up Riggs' car in Marina Del Rey. Coordinates are already on your phones." Nell explained "Okay, we're on it." Deeks replied (grunts) "Is everything okay?" Deeks asked him "Yeah, yeah. Um, my family's safe. Everyone's good." Jack replied "Cool. Kensi, ready?" Granger asked her "Yes." Kensi replied "Uh, actually, I'm gonna go. I need to stretch my legs. Granger." Deeks said (door closes, locks)

"I have something I'd like to say about the way I treated you after we split up." Kensi said as the boys had gone (sighs) "No need to go there." Jack said "But I still want to apologize for never having called you after they rescued us." She mentioned "I didn't call you, either." Jack said "Okay, so we're both jerks." She said "You know, after we broke up, I was, uh I was living in Afghanistan. Trying to decide if I'd convert to Islam. It was it was hard. Life was hard. Uh, one day I-I bought a plane ticket back home to the States. I was gonna gonna try and get you back." Jack explained "Why didn't you?" Kensi asked him "Realized I'd be running away from who I really am. Doesn't mean I didn't love you, Kensi." Jack continued "I get it." She replied "So, you and Deeks are-are moving in together." Jack said (chuckles) "Yeah. Today, supposedly." Kensi mentioned to him "You two are gonna do great." Jack said "I hope so." She replied "Although I hear he's kind of messy." Jack said "That is the last time I leave you two together alone. The last time." She answered

Kensi and Jack were left together after Deeks went with the rest of the team.........how would they get along together............

"Remember those dirt bikes we rode in Joshua Tree?" Jack asked Kensi as they both sat on the floor "Oh, yeah, of course I do. Best camping trip ever. Wide open desert. Beautiful starry sky." She mentioned "Mmm. That's every night in my village." He replied (phone rings) "What's up?" Kesni said "Ask Jack who called him." Deeks asked her "Jack, who called you on the sat phone?" She asked him "I'm sorry." Jack replied as he stood up "Jack, who called you on the sat phone?" She asked again "It was Salib. He said it was my life or my family's. He said if I didn't tell him where I was, his people would kill my wife, my daughters back in Afghanistan." Jack explained "Deeks, Salib is coming for Jack. Tell Eric and Nell to keep eyes on the building." Kensi asked "Hang tight. We're on our way." Deeks replied as she hang up "Where you going?" Kesni asked Jack "I told Salib I'd wait in the alley." Jack replied as he tried to open the door "No, no, no, no, no. Are you kidding me? You can't do that. Jack, stop. Jack, stop it! Jack Down!" Kesni said (rapid gunshots) "Kens, we've got eyes on the hallway. There are three shooters." Nell explained to her through their ear pieces "Tell me when, Nell!" She replied "Now. One down, two to go." Nell said as Kensi put a bullet through the door "I need backup." Kensi asked "The guys are almost with you." Nell replied "Jack, go." Kesni said (gunshots) "Two more entering the building and two still in the hallway." Eric mentioned "One on the balcony. It's turning out to be a very bad party." Kesni said

"Oh, no. Kens, we are now blind in the hallway." Nell explained as the CCTV was shut down "Guys, where are you?!" Kensi asked (tires screech) (distant gunfire) "We got the balcony." Deeks said as they all got out of the cars "Sam, on your right." Eric aid pointing out (distant gunfire continues) "Jack!" Kensi said warning him (grunting) (neck cracks) (grunting) "You're done." The man said as Kesni looked at him "No, wait. It's me you want." Jack said standing up (panting) "Ten seconds." Nell said (quietly): "Tell them to come in shooting." Kensi said as she lied on the floor "Kill him." The man asked "Jack, get down. Get down." Kensi asked Jack "Kill him!" The man asked once again "Kens!" Deeks shouted as the boys came in shooting "Another nice place." Sam said "It was." Callen replied "You okay?" Desk asked Kensi as he helped her up (groans) "What took you so long?" She said standing up "My family. They're gonna kill my family." Jack mentioned "Your family is safe, Jack." Hetty said coming through the front door handing him the phone "Hello?" Jack said on the phone (sniffles) (beep) "Jack, I would never ask you here without considering the risks involved. There was a SEAL team watching over them from the moment you left them." She explained "Thank you, Hetty." Jack replied "Owen, we need to get this young man home." Hetty asked him

Deeks, Granger and Jack made there way to the boat shed and the rest were back at the bullpen........but Kensi decided to go to the boat shed.........

"No! That doesn't look as Oh, my God, you play this exactly like Kensi." Deeks said as as him and Jack were playing cards "No, she plays exactly like I do." Jack replied "What does that mean? You taught her this?" Desk asked "A long time ago." He replied "Okay, here's the deal: you have to teach me what you taught her so I can then beat her." He mentioned "Some advice about Kensi" Jack said "Get a maid. Got it." Deeks replied "Never let her go." Jack said "The maid or Kensi?" Deeks asked "Both." Jack said (door closes) "Fair enough. I got it." Deeks answered (clears throat) "Oh, I see you're playing cards." Kesni said walking towards them both "We're not gonna talk about that. (chuckles) Listen, so I was thinking maybe, uh, Jack should stay with us tonight." Deeks explained "That is a good idea." Kensi said "I mean, 'cause our couch doesn't have bullet holes in it. Seems like the" Deeks continued "It does not." Kesni said butting in "Thank you, but, uh, I have a plane to catch." Jack said "Okay. Well, in that case, we'll drive you to the airport." Kesni said "Uh, actually, Kensi can drive you to the airport, 'cause I have very important things to attend to." Deeks mentioned
