A single gunshot rang through out the woods. Andy froze. Scott's body fell beside her. Andy released a sob when Traci ran to her side. She hugged Traci and cried.
"Sama-," Andy choked into Traci's chest.
"He's on his way, sweetie."
"No. No Samantha. Samantha!" Andy yelled as she ran to the child's room.
"Mommy!" Samantha cried. Andy picked her up and hugged her. Andy placed her back on her feet and knelt to the ground. She placed her hands on either side of her head and kissed her forehead.
"Are you okay, Rookie?" Andy asked. Samantha nodded. Andy knew Oliver and Traci had questions, but they both knew it wasn't the time to ask them.
"Umm, Andy, you need to get checked by a medic and get your statement taken," Oliver said. Andy wiped her tears.
"Rookie, can you stay with your Aunt Traci? Mommy needs to talk to your Uncle Ollie for a minute."
"Yes, Mommy."
Andy and Oliver walked into the living room. She sat down and gave her statement. The paramedics soon came in and dressed her wounds and stitched up her forehead.
"Andy?" Sam said in shock. His heart broke into a million pieces when he saw her petite body bruised and beat up. He couldn't believe that after almost six years, he finally saw her again. Tears welded in his eyes. Andy looked over the back of the couch. She pushed the paramedic away. She would have ran to him, but she walked slowly out of shock.
"Sam," It was him. She was finally with him again!
"McNally," he walked slowly over to her and hugged her. The hug felt as if it lasted for ever. Neither wanted it to end. " It's really you. I missed you so so so much."

"I know. I did too," Andy whispered. "It's over," she cried, "its finally over." Andy was sobbing now. Sam placed his hand on the back of her head and kissed her forehead softly.
"I love you," Sam said.
"I love yo-," Andy was quickly interrupted by Samantha.
"Mommy!" Samantha said as she pulled on Andy's shirt. Sam looked at Andy.
"McNally- Andy, who-who is she?"
"Rookie, why don't you introduce yourself?"
"Hi, I'm Samantha Grace Taylor. Well Mommy says I'm not anymore. Now, she says my real name is Samantha Grace Swarek!"
Swarek? A million thoughts ran through Sam's mind.
"She-she's mine?"

A Universe of Bloody Evolution
The Void was never meant to be opened to the Multiverse. The horrors waiting inside it should have never seen the light. And yet, the biggest mistake in the history of creation led to the impossible. In an event later known as the Outbreak, gates appeared in the first Universe, and with them, the Void was free. For ages the Void destroyed universe after universe, spreading its power in every direction, leaving only death and pain behind. But before every Universe met its end, it still had a chance. A small part of the population that survived the initial Outbreak and was granted a mysterious System to help them fight against the dangers that came from the Void. They were the Multiverse's last hope even if they couldn't stop the collapse of their own world. And so the cycle continued until the 36th Outbreak came. Leo Hale, a young reporter from Wolford, was one of the lucky ones to survive when the majority of Earth's population turned into monsters straight out of nightmares. Thrust into a constant battle for his life, Leo was determined to push forward and find his remaining family. Even if it meant sacrificing what was left of his humanity. After all, you either adapt or die. Story of progression and evolution with my take at the post-apocalyptic genre. Unlike most monster evolution stories where the monster rushes to gain human form, here I plan to do something quite the opposite. After all, in a world where almost everything wants to kill you, being human can be hard. Warnings are here to give me the freedom to write whatever is necessary. This is my first original novel. Also English isn't my native language so any feedback is welcome. Remember that even if initially this story takes place on Earth, fictional places, streets, etc will appear. Chronicles of Xod (returning from hiatus)
After a long recovery over a chronic motion sickness issue, I feel I'm ready to return to writing this book. It might be slow at first, but I'm hoping to pick up where I left off. I apologize again for the long hiatus. The pages following are a true account. An account of how I, Josh--a teenage nerd from modern suburbia--ended up in a strange world filled with fantastic magic, bizarre creatures, and terrifying dungeons. Despite the troped-up fantasy feel of the world, this is hardly an ordinary tale. For one, don’t expect a happy ending. With the trials I’ve been through, the horrors I’ve seen and the atrocities I’ve committed, believe me when I tell you, this is not a happy tale filled with friendly rainbow bears or teenage flying unicorns. It’s more likely you’ll finish this book mentally scarred as I will not spare the details of my unfortunate adventures. With the help of my trusted companion Gui, I gain an insight that no one else in the world has. This knowledge allows me to exploit and, for lack of a better term, metagame the system which gave me a clear advantage over its residents. “With great power...,” someone might begin to quote to me. In my defense, I think maybe even you, reader, might have acted similarly with how this reality changed my view of good and evil. This story will be updated regularly on Wednesdays around 6 PM. There will only be about 1000 words per update. The focus is to finish the story before doing any major changes or editing. Please read as if this is a work in progress, not a finished product. Feel free to let me know if you see any error, whether glaring or minor. If you help me out, I'll be sure to add you to a thank you list at the front of the book when it is published. Chronicles of Xod is a first-person fantasy novel that follows the adventures of a young man from Earth. Through unknown circumstances, he finds himself in a fantasy world where life is not all wonders and happy endings. The story takes common fantasy concepts from my favorite video games, books and movies and gives them an adult edge. It also introduces some taboo concepts often glossed over by stories written for broad audiences. The style is meant to be immersive and heavily detailed. The short novel will be written in a way that attempts to bring a sense of realism to an unrealistic genre. Where there are realistic consequences and dangers in a world populated with violent monsters, cruel demons, bloodthirsty undead, and immoral bandits. In this fantasy world, the inhabitants are essentially gender blind as far as sexuality is concerned. There is also more variation amongst male and female physiology. This isn't meant to be any kind of promotion or demotion of social behavior in reality. Just a concept I thought would be an interesting idea to have in a fantasy setting. I highly discourage anyone from reading this material if you are personally concerned with being offended or traumatized. Both violent and sexual content will be graphically detailed. All characters involved in sexual scenes are mature and of the age of consent(18+).

A man, a martyr, sacrificed for the good of humanity, is now confronted with the lack of body. someone not calling themselves a god in any way decides that the only way is reincarnation, whether the man likes it or not. :3 ah, yes, the classic reincarnated as a monster trope in a fantasy world of magic and stuff. funsie funs. I'm not gonna come and say I've turned it on its head or anything, I'm just gonna say that the main character is a rabbit, he does not have any knowledge of any o these types of novels, the "god" character is not a god in any way, the evolution process is gradual and there are no screens telling him all the usual information like "what is that" in summary, don't expect anything great, but I hope you'll be along for the ride. :^))

It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment. Most of them got used to that, their lives controlled by some being they’ve never even seen. However, one of them is not willing to pay the price of being a slave. One day, he encountered a dark energy that changed him. It merged with him. Now, with his newly found powers he was granted the opportunity to retaliate. All he desires is to find answers and get in control of his own fate. No matter what he has to sacrifice, no matter how much blood he has to spill, even if it means he has to create a pile of corpses, or become the devil himself. To him, the price of freedom is all but expensive. Basically a story with an anti-hero protagonist in a dark fantasy, medieval setting.
