After school, I went to the café and Hayley and Lauren were both there.

Hayley looked away as soon as I walked in and Lauren had her back to me anyways.

I took the corner seat beside the window and I took out my sketchbook. We were working on drawing animals and I was drawing a puppy.

I was gently shading in the puppy's ears when Rena cane over.

"Hey Ashley"

I looked up at her "Hi Rena. Do you work here everyday?"

She nodded "Yep, 3 until 7."

She looked down at my drawing "That looks really good Ashley, is that for class?"

"Yup. We're focusing on animals and shading"

She smiled slightly and then asked me did I want a hot chocolate.

I said I did and she went off to make it for me.

My phone then buzzed on the counter.

I rolled my eyes.

She's not my girlfriend.

That's not what Hayley thinks.

I threw my phone back on the table, frustrated and I focused on my drawing instead.

After two cups of hot chocolate, I had to go to the bathroom.

I hummed a song from the radio under my breath as I flushed the toilet and washed and dried my hands.

I was eager to finish my drawing but when I went back to the table it wasn't there.

Hayley and Lauren were gone too.

There was a note written on my sketchbook.
