《Accidentally Adopted by iBallisticSquid》Squid's House

Izzy's PoV:
We walked up to the door of Squid's house, Sqaishey still had her arm around me (she hadn't let go the entire time), I would never of found this by myself. Squid's house was massive, the driveway was huge and his garage was huge too, I assumed that's where his cars were.
When we got to the door Nicole walked in front and handed Marley's lead to Sqaishey so she could unlock the door. Just as she did from behind us came a scream. We all spun around to see a two girls, they looked extremely spoilt. One of them was dressed in all pink in very expensive clothes. The other, actually didn't look that spoilt, she was in jogging trousers, like me, and a simple T-Shirt. They ran up the drive towards us. "Urmm, who are you?" Nicole asked. "Well, I wouldn't want to tell you!" She said back to Nicole. I was shocked. I walked up to the girl and said, "what's your problem with Nicole?" She looked shocked at first but she quickly regained her composure. "Well," she said, "I believe that Squid deserves better, you idiot." She said turning to Nicole. At that, Nicole ran in crying. I stepped closer to the girl so I faces where only inches apart and said quietly, "Don't you dare hate on Nicole, especially when she is here to see it!" Amy ran in after Nicole as I said this. The girl opened her mouth to talk but the other girl stepped in, pulling the girl away. "I'm really sorry about my sister." The other girl said, she didn't sound anything like as posh as her sister. "We are both massive fans of you," She said turning to Sqaishey, "and by the way I'm Chloe and this is Katie." She said pointing to her sister. Katie then turned to me, "And who are you?" I just stood there if I said who I was I would just get loads of hate. Just at the right moment Squid came out, "She's my second cousin," He said. Squid walked past me and up to the girls, "I'm really sorry about my sister and what she said to Nicole." Squid looked at Sqaishey and she nodded to say that Chloe was telling the truth and that it had only been Katie. "In that case," Squid said turning back around, "get out of my driveway," He said to Katie. "What! Can't I have a picture?!" Katie said. Squid pulled a pen out of his pocket and grabbed her jacket and signed it. "Will that do?" Squid said. I had never seen him so angry. Katie made a noise that I didn't think was possible before storming out of the drive. "Sorry, I probably shouldn't have done that." Squid said turning to Chloe who was laughing. "Don't be. She always gets what she wants so she will just get another one."

While Squid was talking to Chloe me and Sqaishey went into the house. Sqaishey led me into the kitchen where Nicole was sitting at the table crying. When I came in she turned around, looked at me, got up and hugged me. At first I was in shock but then I hugged back. "Thank you. For saying that to that girl," She said letting go. "Amy told us what you said to her." Wait, us? I looked around the room. This was a site that I had wished for all my life and now I was really seeing it. Around the room stood Sqaishey, Amy, Stampy, Netty, Tom and Ash. "Oh my God." I said. I was in shock. "So guys this is Izzy. The girl I was telling you about." Squid had come up behind me and placed his hands on my shoulders. "It's nice to meet you Izzy!" Stampy said. I only managed a small noise that sounded a bit like a hello. They all laughed. "Anyway," Sqaishey said walking over to me, "We need to sort your lip out." I hadn't realised until now that my lip was still bleeding after Craig and his gang got me. Sqaishey told me to sit down while she went to get the first aid kit. Everyone else apart from Squid went into the living room. Squid sat down next to me. "I know your in care." I was surprised but I guess it made sense, Adam would've said something to Squid while we were in hospital. I looked at the floor. "And I know you and Flo ran away and I'm pretty sure that is what you did again today." I nodded. Squid pulled me into a hug. This is what I would've wished for forever but I couldn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to. I was a care kid and there was nothing I could do about it.

The Shape of Home
The world of Alvelotyl is one of fantasy, one filled with many races, an expansive magic system exploring themes of identity, some LitRPG elements, moral ambiguity and no small amount of magical inventions similar to those in our world. Dragons with blogs showing off their hoards of treasure live alongside [Hunters] chasing Giant Toads, or [Bandits] using rifles charged with Fire Magic. The Shape of Home is a story within this world, and follows the exploits of Yuri Scalesmith, a budding Lizardfolk adventurer from a small country town with a knack for inventing, and how her life drastically changes after she’s taken from home forever following a single catastrophic event. After being taken from her previously normal life, Yuri is thrust into a world of sprawling streets, magically mutated monsters, and a crime war for territory stretching across an entire city. The Shape of Home normally updates every Tuesday and Saturday at 6PM GMT, but I'm trying out different upload times to see how people react and attract others in differing timezones. There will be two week long breaks after each story arc's Interlude. This story is also a participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge!

Small Chests Are Fine Too
It is an undeniable fact that good things come in small packages. More often than not, it is necessary to trim the fat in order to bring what really matters to the forefront. Having extra bulk may seem like a good idea, but in reality it is merely a crutch that will one day become a hindrance, as it is no substitute for personality nor ability. Indeed, often times it is the small things in life that brighten up our daily lives and constantly remind us exactly why we do the things we do. However, it is important to keep an open mind, for while bigger is not always better, there are also times when it is. This holds especially true when it comes to hopes and dreams, which have been known to require a suitably large container from time to time. And while dreaming big could potentially lead to massive dissapointment, one will never truly reach fulfilment if they think too small. A truth that one small woman with meager aspirations is about to find out. DISCLAIMER: This is a spin-off/side story of my main series, Everybody Loves Large Chests, which is also mandatory reading to understand this one. It runs parallel to the main plot, branching off from the chapter titled Upheaval 2, so there will be spoilers for anyone who hasn't reached that point.

The First Magician
James died from touching something he, in hindsight, should definitely not have. As luck would have it, he was reborn into a world with magic, levels, skills, and stats. Just like an RPG! The most curious thing about this new world was that magic had only existed for thirty years. What kind of life will James lead in a world filled with monsters, dungeons, and magic? Usually will update Wednesday and Saturday, but there's always the chance I haven't gotten around to writing in a while so there may be a break. Additionally, I intend to edit heavily between arcs.

Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.
