Izzy's PoV:
"Hello Izzy it's good to see you again." My father said quietly. "Well I don't want to see you!" I said angrily. I felt Tom, who was still next to me, put his arm around me and I moved closer to him. Then the policeman spoke, "Izzy and her father need to speak together. One of you can stay with her but the rest need to leave." I looked at Squid and he nodded. "I will stay with her," Squid said to the policemen, "are you staying or leaving?" He finished. "I will stay but in the background." The policeman said staying by the door.
My father went to sit down on the sofa opposite me and Squid came and sat down next to me. "So, John why did you run away?" I said, calling him John as that is his name and I didn't want to call him Dad. "Hey, you can call me dad!" John complained. "I don't want to. I have a new dad, a better one!" I yelled. "What! I was willing to forgive him!", John said pointing at Squid, "but you just had to bring it up didn't you!" He said starting to shout. John stood up and started coming over to us. Squid got up as well so they were nose to nose.
Before either of them could do or say anything the policemen was in between them telling them to stop.
"I'm sorry sir but your going to have to leave. Bring someone else in to sit with Izzy please." She said looking at Squid.
"No! I don't want Squid to leave!" I cried.
"I'm sorry but he has to if it's going to cause this rowdiness." Replied the officer.

"Who do you want me to get Izzy? I don't think Nicole or Tom would be a good idea." Squid said looking at John.
"Sqaishey." I muttered, I really didn't want Squid to go, but I had no choice.
Squid left the room and a few minutes later Sqaishey came in and sat down next to me. I gave her a weak smile and she did the same.
"So, why did you run away?" I asked.
"Everything was just building up and I wanted to get away. I only intended to be gone for a day, maybe a weekend, but I met some people who said they had been through similar things. I just felt so free with them that I decided to stay, but, they weren't who they said they were, so I left." He said looking down, "I'm sorry Izzy, I never should have left you and your mother to go through it alone." He finished.
"Wait, go through what alone?" I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about.
"You don't know?" He said. I shook my head.
"When you were 4, your Uncle went into a critically ill state. Your mother was finding it so stressful that she was struggling to cope. I hated seeing her like that, so I had to leave." He explained. I just looked at him. I felt Sqaishey put her arm around me but I just shook it off. I jumped up and ran out of the room, pushing past the policeman. I saw Squid sitting on the stairs, he got up as I ran out.
"What's wrong?!" Squid said looking worried. I didn't answer, I just ran to him and threw my arms around him. "I'm sorry kid! I didn't want to upset you! I just thought you would've know." I could hear my dad talking to me but I was done with family, I wanted nothing to do with them anymore. I just shook my head and kept my face firmly in Squid's chest.

"We will be leaving now." I heard the policeman say. Squid picked me up and took me into the kitchen.
"What happened? What did he say to you?!" Squid asked but I didn't want to talk about it. I shook my head again and walked out the room. I felt so let down I couldn't take this anymore.
I grabbed my rucksack and put all my money, my phone and a blanket in it before walking out the front door.
I stopped walking when I got to the end of the road where I called a taxi. When it arrived I asked it to take me to Manchester mental health hospital. The man looked a little confused but took me there anyway. After about 15 minutes into the journey my phone started to ring. I pulled it out of my bag. It was Squid. I thought about answering it but decided against it. I rejected the call and put my phone back in my bag. About a half hour later my phone rang again, this time it was Nicole. I was about to reject it again when the taxi driver spoke up.
"You should answer that. I have no idea what's going on in your life but what ever it is clearly someone wants to speak to you." I nodded, he was right, they were worried about me. I answered the call.
"Omg Izzy are you okay? Where are you?! Why did you run away?!" I heard Nicole cry. I just sighed not knowing what to say. Then there was some jostling about and I heard Squid's voice, "Please come back Izz!"
"I'm fine and I will come back, I just have to do something first." I said before hanging up. I did feel bad for leaving but I knew Squid would never let me do this.
We soon made it to the mental hospital, I paid the taxi driver and went to the reception.
"Hello, please can I see Mandy Parker."
The receptionist looked surprised but nodded.
A man came downstairs to get me before taking me up to her room. I walked in and saw a familiar face look at me.
"Hi Mum."

Debut: the day every young gentleperson of age gathers to receive their Spirit Blessing and shift for the first time into their second form. Except for those who don't. Beatrice's worst fear is to be one of the unlucky few trapped perpetually in a human body, cut off from the magic of the spirits and unfit for any respectable pack or pride. But when the time comes to face her fear, the outcome is one she never could have imagined. Be warned, this story is some highly experimental fluff—an unapologetically girly, unrelentingly bisexual, Regency/Victorian-ish fantasy mish-mash. It does have a dark side, though, so don’t come in expecting all sunshine and roses. Worthy of note, given the reputation of shifter stories: there will be no explicit sex in this tale. There will, however, be lots of polyamorous romance, necromancy, portal magic, capricious spirits, elemental mages, an unconventional take on shifters and a highly ordered society built around their existence.

Hell Hath no Hoagie
Steve, a half-demon on his mother's side, must find the sandwich that will bring upon the end of times! Or at least, that's what he tells his demonic bosses. In truth, he'd much rather just hang out with his friends, a Judge who summons bunnies to maintain the balance of good and evil, a hell-knight who enjoys slaughtering said bunnies, and a tortured soul who is perpetually on fire (who would very much like to snuggle said bunnies but has been told multiple times not to). Steve was supposed to care for the antichrist, and not let the guy get addicted to MMORPGs. But Steve claims that a terrific sandwich will awaken the bloodlust in the antichrist, and so he joins his companions on a road trip to find the most delicious, most evil, most apocalyptic-inducing sandwich of all time... and maybe a taco.
