Izzy's PoV:
"Hi Mum." I said. She just looked at me not saying anything.
"Mum it's me. Your daughter." I said again, walking towards her.
"Get away from me you freak! I don't have a daughter!" She yelled.
"But.. But Mum..." I whispered. I started to feel dizzy, I could hear people talking around me but there voices were just white noise. I felt someone grab my shoulder and lead me out of the room. They took me downstairs and out through the waiting room. I could see people looking at me worriedly. We went out into the car park, I breathed in the fresh air and my head started to clear. I looked up at the person who had got me out, it was Julie.
"What the hell do you think you are doing!!" She shouted. I didn't know what to say so I started to cry. She looked at me with a sad expression on her face.
"Come on, let's get you back." She said calmly. I nodded and followed her to her car.
We had left the hospital car park and I started to wonder how she knew where I was.
"How did you know that I was there?" I asked her. I saw her look in her rear view mirror at me.
"We had a call from the hospital, they said that they were concerned that we didn't know that you were there." She told me. I nodded. I guess I should've thought that something like that would happen.
I started to drift off to sleep wondering what Squid was going to say when we got back.
Unfortunately, although I didn't know it then, I wouldn't find that out.
When I woke up I could feel that I was being carried in someone's arms, I assumed it was Squid so I kept my eyes closed. But then I heard someone's voice that I wouldn't expect to hear at Squid's house. Mitch's. I kept my eyes closed not knowing what to do, then I heard Flo.

"Izzy!" She sounded surprised but happy.
"Hey! Shut up you! You annoying little idiot!" Mitch said to her. That was it, no one talks to my friend like that, even when they where an idiot. People make mistakes and I was ready to forgive her now.
"Don't say that to her!" I said opening my eyes and jumping out of the persons arms. Mitch looked shocked but Flo flung her arms around me.
"I'm so sorry about what I did and then what happened with your dad!" She said to me.
"Look, it's okay. But why am I here?" I said looking round. I was back at my first care home. I hadn't been here in ages.
"What the heck! Why am I here?! Where's Squid!?!" I cried. I turned round to look at the person who had been carrying me, it was Adam, the head care worker.
"Come with me and I'll explain everything." He said calmly. I could see sadness and worry in his eyes. I suddenly got really worried, what if Squid had been hurt?!
I followed Adam into the meeting room. This is where families and care kids talk get to know each other and where anything important or private happens.
I sat down opposite Adam.
"When you ran away David Spencer did not get in touch with us to tell us that you were missing. This raised questions about why he didn't want to tell us." He started to explain.
"Clearly it's because he didn't have time, he was looking for me!" I exclaimed.
"We realise this now as we have tracked a phone call that happened between you and Nicole and what you said would suggest that you like them." He continued.
"I do! They are amazing and they really care about me!" I said.

"Well even with this considered we have decided that it would be best if you don't see them again. You will be staying here now." Adam finished.
"But why?! Sq.. David is the best!!" I cried.
"He clearly can't take care of you. You ran away! Even if it wasn't his fault, your actions have consequences!" Adam was starting to get cross.
I swore at him before storming out of the room.
When I left the room Mitch was standing there.
"Mitch not now!" I said thinking he was going to mock me.
"I heard about what happened. And I'm genuinely sorry!" He said giving me a weak smile. I just nodded i couldn't smile back. Not after what had just happened.
I went up to my room and sat on my bed. I started to cry. Why does everything good that happens to me end up going wrong?
Flo came in.
"It's not the end of the world. Another family will come along!" Flo said trying to cheer me up.
"First Squid was a one off, no one else will want me.
Second even if they did then I would say no. I don't want to go through this pain again." I said sadly.
"At least you can still watch his vlogs though." Flo added. I nodded.
Suddenly an idea formed in my head, I pulled out my phone and quickly searched something.
"Yes!!" I said happily.
"What?" Flo said confused.
"Mitch is 17, right?" I said.
"Yeah... What's that got to do with this?" She questioned.
"Well Insomnia is happening soon, and it says that people under 16 have to be accompanied by an adult. Mitch is 17, which means he counts as an adult." I explained.
"Your not seriously suggesting...?" Flo looked worried. I nodded.
Eventually I had managed to persuade Mitch to take me. Him, Flo and I pooled our money together and we managed to but two tickets to Insomnia.
I was going to find Squid there!

Magic-Farming
A thought experiment gone out of control, inspired by kosnik4's popular story, Magic-Smithing. What would life be like for someone else who was transported to the world inside Magic-Smithing? Someone who wasn't as prone to encounter incresasingly dangerous people, whose life was a little less chaotic? What if this person was content with a simple life of farming? Tending to the plants, sowing seeds, and reaping a great harvest at the end of the year. Of course, he's also a data scientist, so he can't help but squeeze out the maximum possible efficiency of his time and the potential of his attributes. Who doesn't make excel spreadsheets in their spare time? This is a slightly more "Slice of Life" esque version of kosnik4's story. Hopefully lighthearted, funny, and as enjoyable to read as it is thinking of increasingly ridiculous skill progressions. Thanks to kosnik4 and Magic-Smithing for providing fertile grounds for creativity to thrive. NOTE: THIS IS A FAN FICTION, AND ALL INTELLECTUAL RIGHTS BELONG TO KOSNIK4. I'm a patron of his story, and love reading about what happens next in his story. I've tried my best to be as accurate to his canon science as possible, though it's not 100% feasible. Afterall, the story isn't even done yet! My plan for the releases is to release a single chapter a day until 3/7, and then release 4 chapters a week on M, W, F, & Sat. P.S. If anyone can figure out what the EXACT formula for Level XP is, I'd love to hear it. I'm starting to doubt my math and excel capabilities. I have an equation that is fairly accurate and stays close to his values, but not exactly the same.
