《Infinity || Dan Smith》Twenty.

"From a secret upcoming film, please welcome your next presenters, Charlotte Everett and Dan Smith!" Everyone gives a massive round of applause while Dan and Charlie walk up the steps. They both wave and smile at the audience before standing behind the podium in the middle of the stage.
"My god London!" — Charlie excitedly squeals waving her hands around in the air — "Me and Dan just literally touched down from filming in Iceland! It's a privilege just to be back here with all of you beautiful people tonight! We have to go back to Iceland and finishing filming tomorrow...but we love you too much to pass on this incredible offer of presenting such a momentous award!" Dan decides to let the lady do all of the talking, since he's already been up on this stage before.
It's actually a really sweet offer.
"I need to say there's so many of you and not a single one knows who I am. Amazing. I love it!" Dan nervously laughs at Charlie's joke. Much to her surprise, as so the does the audience...because it's true.
"If they don't know who you are then let's not even talk about me." Charlie genuinely snorts before Dan leans forward laughing. The crowd laughs along with them while she puts her hand over her mouth in shock. So far the actor and actress are the only ones to grace the stage and entertain the audience. It's funny considering that they're not even trying that hard.
Charlie then leans forwards towards the mic before laughing into it nervously, and continues her speech that she is making up on the spot.
"For those who don't know my dear friend won the Best British Breakthrough Act back in 2014, with his band Bastille." Everyone smiles along with Charlie and Dan.

Compared to the other handful of award presenters, Dan and Charlie are actually likeable and down to Earth. They're humble and they have a chemistry of sorts. Some of the audience would go to the extent and say 'they're a sweet duo'.
"I think we should just shut up and present the award..." Dan nods his head at the cue on the screen. Although this is clearly not scripted, there's a timer with a list of all of the nominees.
"I can get down with that, yeah." Charlie nods we head before Dan looks at her in shock again.
They're an awkward mess, but at least they seem to be having fun.
They don't read the award nominees out since the voice over does, but then it's their cue to speak again one the audience dies down from clapping. "Do you want to..." Charlie holds the winners card out towards Dan.
"Together after three?" Charlie nods her head in agreement. Both of them count to three in their heads and then open the golden card, but Charlie doesn't get the chance to say anything since Dan is over the moon.
"They've only gone and bloody done it again!" Dan laughs completely forgetting about the joint effort.
"And the Brit for Masterclass Album of The Year is...The 1975!" Dan claps his hands together almost immediately feeling happy that the band won...since they deserve it the most out of all of the other nominees.
"The 1975 are a four piece synth band hailing from Manchester and are no stranger to winning this precise award." Charlie then says while she reads the cue machine which sits in front of the stage.
"Their names are Matthew Healy, Ross MacDonald, Adam Hann and George Daniel. This will be their second and finial award of the night." Charlie says again with the four man band quickly walks into the stage. Ross, Adam and George all give Dan a kick hug, they then proceed to quickly give Charlie a peck on her cheek. However Matty, the lead singer, who is so overcome with emotions clings onto Dan for dear life.

"The best band fucking won." Dan almost laughs into Matty's ear.
Once letting go of the lead singer, he then kisses Charlie on the cheek before holding his award up in the air.
Dan and Charlie stand behind them to the side, they both clap along with the audience feeling happy. Charlie, however, is currently going through a rush of adrenaline. She's never been live on British television before so this is a first. Dan however keeps his chin up, like Isla taught him to do, and smiles when Matty acknowledges their fun hosting.
Maybe tonight wasn't so bad after all? Dan thinks to himself while smiling endlessly at Charlie.

The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!

The Blackgloom Bounty
In the dark days before the end of the first millennium, Scotland (or Scotia as some called it) was a leaderless hodgepodge of tribes, clans and warring factions all bent on the same thing--domination of the land. Wizards, sorcerers and magicians still plied their trade, though much of their power had given way to the machinations of men and their war machines. To the south of Scotia lay the realm of the Saxons ruled by Ethelred the Unready and his ruthless minions. To the west, Ireland had just come of age. Everywhere else the constant threat of a lightning swift Viking incursion loomed over the land.Growing up in this lawless world is a displaced Daynin McKinnon, heir to an ancient familial keep on the island of Rhum. He and his grandfather Ean scratch out a living amongst the Saxons, careful never to divulge their clan heritage. That all changes when Kruzurk Makshare chooses Daynin as the ideal prospect to help him bring down a vile sorcerer named The Seed of Cerberus, ferreted away in his impregnable fortress at Blackgloom. Little does Kruzurk know that in so doing, he will launch young Daynin, himself and others on a vast, dangerous quest that no one could have foreseen. *****One Hollywood producer has dubbed this three book fantasy epic from Jon Baxley as, "BRAVEHEART meets THE LORD OF THE RINGS." Real places, people and events flesh out this fast moving, multi-faceted semi-historical series but fear not fantasy readers. There's more than enough of the magical, mystical mayhem you have come to expect from great fantasy. Romance readers, too, will enjoy the 'spice' in these characters--and there are a lot of them--both human and otherwise. Universe 2.0
An earthman boy, William, was extremely interested in space travels. He got two techniques from his father, Mighty, who was a world-famous physicist studying faster-than-light space travels and his mother, Sally, who was a biology professor at Columbia University. However, he was sometimes not so confident. This meant that he would rather not believe that he was actually very powerful. Due to this, Mighty and Sally decided to boost his confidence. He set out and began his space travel, yet he came to another universe, which was surely unexpected! He had partners, including a female clone man, Ranran, whose prototype was William's physics teacher and head teacher; a fighter plane, Photon, who looked like a fighter plane in WWII; a racing car, Natalie Hurricane, who had crazy performances. The party used an energy core to travel through a black hole and a five-dimensional space when they reached that universe, but unfortunately the energy core lost all the energy. So they had to go to all checkpoints on three planets to collect all energy, because only in this way could they go back to their universe. Yet what would they encounter while they travel in this universe? Would they be able to go home?

I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room
The universe is a very strange place. It will take even stranger heroes to save it."Absurd. Existential. Ridiculous. Tragic. Comic. The antiheroes of "I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room" are a kind of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern with space packs, inadvertently colliding with their destinies against a starry background of witty wordplay. With a vision as sprawling and limitless as the loveably goofy universe in which it's set, Browning's wit, wisdom and heart are always at play, combining to form a wonderfully panoramic and very silly heroes' journey that visits every trope of its overlapping genres and draws moustaches on all of them."- Marcel St. Pierre, author of "Vengeful Hank" and "Cliché and Wind Go Hitchhiking".(Sci-fi /Dark Humour/Absurd) *Completed!
