For heather openshaw: Borja Mayoral
You were so excited. Your boyfriend, high school sweetheart, childhood best friend, etc. was finally making his huge debut for Real Madrid, one of the best and largest clubs in the world. Well, not the actual Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale one. Borja was making his debut for Real Madrid Castilla, the sort of B team if you will. But, it was still a huge achievement.
From the time the both of you were no taller than your parent's knees, Borja had been obsessed with football. Growing up in Spain, every boy was out on the street playing football every spare second of daylight. You weren't coordinated enough to really play well. Borja was the complete opposite of you, however. He was more than coordinated, he was in his natural habitat.
He played with the bigger kids and grew aggressive on the field, always getting open for a pass and not afraid to foul an opponent legally (most of the time anyways) to get the ball back for his team. When he started playing on an actual team, he immediately fit perfectly into the striker role. You knew that playing for Real Madrid was a big dream of his and working his way up the ranks had been a struggle with great rewards.
Taking your seat in the stands, you waved to Borja's parents who were a few seats down from you. You watched the players warm up on the field, Borja amongst them. He wasn't starting, but he would go in early on in the second half he had told you, as long as everything went according to plan for Real Madrid Castille.
Everything didn't necessarily go to plan by the start of the second half for Real Madrid Castille. They were currently tied 2-2 with their opponents but you saw Borja warming up on the side of the field. He jogged over Zinedine Zidane, fully warmed up and ready to go. The legendary Frenchman was giving your boyfriend instructions before walking him over to the fourth official on the side of the field.

The official typed in something before waiting for the center ref to give him the signal. You cheered as Borja took the field. He got into position and immediately got open for a throw in. His teammate threw it past him and Borja took off down the side of the field. Sidestepping a defender, he passed it to a teammate. His teammate immediately passed it back as Borja ran past another defender and into the box.
Doing a little flick with the ball, Borja sprinted around the defender and chipped the ball over the head of the keeper. You stood up and screamed with joy as Borja ran to the corner of the pitch, pounding his chest where the crest of Real Madrid was sown. His teammates piled on top of him as he celebrated. "And that has to be one of the fastest goals from a substitute we've ever seen! Goal for Borja Mayoral in the sixty-third minute!" the announcer stated, enticing more cheers from you and the rest of the Real Madrid Castille fans.
After the dog pile had dispersed and player's resumed their positions, the opponents kicked off. The ball was passed about for twenty minutes when suddenly, an opponent booted the ball from outside the goal box towards the Real Madrid Castille defense. You watched in horror as the ball landed on the head of an opponent and past the hands of the keeper.
You sat looking at the time left. By the time the opponents had finished their celebrations and everyone had been set up once more, there was only five minutes left, plus extra time. You could see the Real Madrid Castille bench getting annoyed and frazzled with the score as time ticked away. A relatively hard tackle from the opponents, got the whole coaching staff up in arms. You watched nervously. It wouldn't be good luck for Borja to start off his career at Real Madrid Castille with a loss, and you prayed for a miracle.

Three minutes of extra time were added and you bit your nails anxiously. Out of seemingly nothing, Real Madrid made their way up the field, passing back and forth quickly. Borja waved his hand aggressively in the right corner, open for a pass. The pass came and everyone moved to the edge of their seats. Dribbling out a little farther, Borja planted his foot and swung his hips. His left foot connected with the ball and sent it flying. Everything seemed to move in slow motion as the ball hit the crossbar before rocketing down and completely over the goal line. Shock wore on for a bit before you stood up and screamed with joy. Borja's teammates encircled Borja, all wearing wide smiles. Borja got out of the group hug and dedicated his goal to you, in his little special way that only the two of you knew about.
The players reset as the opponents quickly tried to counter once more. Two more minutes passed before the referee blew the final whistle. Real Madrid Castille supporters jumped up and downs, making the whole stadium feel like it was shaking. But, you didn't care. Your boyfriend had scored two out of the four goals for his side. One was the match winner, and the other was one of the fastest substitute goals yet. As fans started to pile out, you met up with Borja's family. Together, you made your way down to the team room.
Borja came out about twenty minutes later. "Sorry I took so long, I had to do interviews," he explained, hugging his parents quickly. He turned his attention to you before enveloping you in a tight hug, causing you to laugh.
"Those were two amazing goals, Borja," you complimented, hugging him back tightly.
"Had to look good for my girlfriend, right?" he questioned, wrapping an arm around your shoulder, pulling you closer to him. Leaning over, he placed a kiss on your head.
"We're going to go home. You two can go out to dinner or something, just be back by ten, Borja," his mother stated before she and his father walked out.
"So, where to, Miss?"
"Hmm . . . what about ice cream?"
"Ice cream for dinner?"
"You say that like we haven't done that a thousand times before," you replied, a knowing smile crossing your face.
"Good point. Ice cream it is!" You chuckled as Borja pointed forwards before marching towards thS exit, dragging you along with him.

Shaman
*** Let's get this clear now: the MC is a trans woman. This is not a gender-bender. It's set in a fantasy world but the exploration of identity and gender is reality-based. Not a joke, not a kinky turn-on. If this is a problem for you, please just act like an adult and look elsewhere for something to read. *** Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 2 x 5*, 1 x 4.5*, 1 x 3*, no reasons offered. A human shaman and healer returns from several years with the mysterious shyani, accompanied by her shapeshifting puma best friend. A valued friend, from her previous identity as a male student physician, has acquired an old shyani book, and extremists will not tolerate its presence in human hands. But back in human lands, the question arises: which world does she belong in? Generations ago, human explorers found a continent inhabited by an utterly alien culture of shapeshifting weyres and the shyani, humanoids who prefer dusk and dawn. A truce of sorts was eventually reached: humans claimed the rich lowlands, and the shyani and weyres retain the highlands. Along the border, practicality often rules, but on either side, old grudges linger in some hearts. As a student physician, Corin tried to take his own life, unable to bear the countless tiny wounds inflicted over twenty-one years of lying to himself in order to be, or pretend to be, socially acceptable. At the last improbable instant, intervention came, in the form of a spirit fox, who led him away from the existence he’d known in the lowlands and into the highlands. There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible. As an honoured guest in a highborn house, with only Jared aware that she has ever been anyone else, Vixen finds herself questioning where she belongs: with Dayr and the shyani, who accept her gender without question but have to make allowances for her differences, or with humans, in the culture she grew up in even though her past would mean a major scandal? *** Trigger warning: there are scenes of Vixen's previous life, which include some difficult moments and culminate in an (obviously unsuccessful) attempt at suicide before she finds her true self and a better life. Please be careful! This is the ONLY reason for the "Traumatising Content" tag.*** Complete stand-alone novel, 96K words. Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.

It's Hard to be a Hero in a Parallel World
A hero is transported from the real world into a parallel world similar to the video game he's been obsessed with for the past few weeks. The problem is, this game is way too difficult, especially for a nerdy gamer boy to survive. He decides to leave the hero-duty to someone who is actually competent while he looks for a way home. He hopes his knowledge of the game will help him stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, as one would imagine, the normal events of a game would change drastically when the main character is nowhere to be found. Read as the unlikely hero gets into trouble with his new companions, while trying to survive life in this parallel world. This is an original story that takes inspiration from and pokes fun at many novels, video games, anime, and the stereotypes and tropes that appear in those media.

Rise of the Business [Class]
'Rise of the Business [Class]' is a story about a world where humanity ended up fleeing through space, after suffering several great disasters at home. On arrival we crash-landed and were soon attacked by magic wielding civilizations who learned how to deal with our weaponry with a speed that belied their seemingly simplistic nature. We were lost. But eventually we survived by abandoning technology and adapting. But this tale takes place thousands of years later, after humanity has had time to rise and falter more than once. It tells of a time where we adapted too much, focusing only on combat and magic and learning to rely on the [System] that our ancestors built in order to compete and survive on this hostile planet with the others. This is a story about our final chance during a time when all of humanity is under siege again, where we struggled to adapt too late and ultimately had to learn how to summon a collection of people from Earth through time and space to come help - but not to the 'besieged time' but back a couple of hundred years - before it went too far down the wrong path, so they can hopefully change things enough to prevent a return to that timeline. Follow Livia as she is ripped from her favorite library and end up getting lucky, or unlucky? On her very first day on the Elderwood continent. While a trio of native lads excitedly leave home to find adventure, oblivious to how very soon they might end up entangled in the fate of the world. But the question that remains to be answered, that this first leg of the journey aims to find out; is what can a LitRPG bookworm like Livia do if called on to change humanity and prepare us all for the future, all before her 21st birthday? Find out soon, as we are finishing up book 1 in the coming two weeks. Cheers for reading this far, have a biscuit!
