《Looed and Lost You 》_Chapter Fourteen: Kiss for a demigod_

"Right now?" I asked sitting up.
"Yes right now. Come on! You're going to fun...I hope." Loki said walking over to me.
"Well, that's reassuring," I said as Loki pulled me off my bed.
"Get some shoes on. Quick, quick." He said impatiently. I rolled my eyes and put my brown boots back on. I grabbed my jacket from off the desk and put it on as I turned to look at Loki.
"So where are we going?" I asked crossing my arms.
"You gotta wait and see." He said taking hold of my hand and then in the blink of an eye we were gone. We reappeared on a grassy hill that overlooked a beautiful forest. The sun was slowly sinking into the horizon. It took my breath away.
"I wanted to bring you here so you could see the sunset. It's not as great back at Balthy's house."
Nodding I looked down to see we were still holding hands. I pulled my hand away and looked up at him. "Why?" I asked a slight blush on my cheeks.
"Well, I know you love them. I see you trying to get up on the roof sometimes..." This made me chuckle slightly.
"And also I kind of wanted to take you out on a date." He said pointing behind us. I turned around to see he had set up a red picnic blanket. Around it were candles that grew brighter as the sun went down.
"But...you can always zap away..." He said walking forward but then turned to face me.
"I taught you how to do that right?" He asked making me nod.
"Y-yeah you did," I said walking over to stand before the blanket.

"So...are you going to?" He asked making me looked back up at him. "I just wish you had told me to dress nice," I said making him smile. I smiled in return.
After we had eaten a beautiful meal Loki snapped into existence we laid back in the grass and looked up at the stars.
"But anyway, what I'm trying to say is all the Greek Gods are asshats." I chuckled.
"And you said even Hestia?"
"Oh yeah, even that fiery bitch." I shook my head with a chuckle. When the chuckling died down Loki rolled onto his side so he was looking at me and rested his head in his hand.
"Enough about me. Tell me something about yourself. Like, for starters, how you know so much about gods."
I rolled onto my stomach and looked over at Loki. "Well, my oldest sister, Scout. She was obsessed with the gods. She had stacks upon stacks of books on them. When my mother and father would go out on hunting trips Scout would build a fire in the fireplace and tell my sister and I stories about them." I looked down as I played with a blade of grass.
"I think she hunts them now...I wouldn't know though...just rumors I heard from others." Loki stayed quiet for a minute.
"You don't keep in touch with them?" I looked at him slightly and shook my head.
"No. When they left me with the Winchesters...they didn't even blink an eye. It was a relief to them. No goodbye. No, I'll see you later." I sighed and rolled back onto my back.
"...What was your other sister like?"
"Honor...Honor was a jerk." I said with a chuckle. "She didn't want to be a hunter...but when she did she really got into it. It was scary sometimes." I looked over to see Loki watching me.

"My family is pretty messed up," I said making Loki chuckle. "Have you seen mine? They tried to tie me to a rock with a snake dripping venom in my eyes." I chuckled at this.
"You win the messed up family award," I said with a laugh. Loki smiled brightly at me. "How about you tell me what you were like as a kid? Teenager? Both?"
"Oh god, I was boring," I said playing with my necklace. "I couldn't hunt at all. I had zero friends. And I did nothing but annoy my siblings all day. I think I might have been more of a jerk then Honor." I said with a huff as I looked up at the stars.
"Oh yeah, your life seems real boring." He said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes.
"Says the demigod."
"Hey! My life is pretty boring too." I looked over at him. "Oh really?"
"Really. I have to hang out with you every day." I put a hand over my heart pretending to be hurt.
"I'm sorry I'll try to be less boring from now on. It's not like I can move things with my mind or teleport myself or anything like that." We both smiled. We stayed like that for a while. Just looked at each other. Smiling. When Loki did something that caught me off guard. He bent down and kissed me.
At first, I did nothing. I was frozen. But when he went to pull away I grabbed a fist full of his jacket and pulled him back down. Our lips moved in sync. Our bodies brushed against each other. We pulled away to catch our breath and we stared into each other's eyes. Hot breath kissing our faces.
"Does this mean we're finally dating now?" Loki asked me. I then started to laugh. My smile bigger then it has ever been. "Yes."
We started on that hill for what seemed like forever. We kissed some more. And talked...but mostly kissed. When the night finally came to a close we made our way back to Balthazar's house.
Loki bid me goodnight with a kiss on the forehead and then left to wherever he goes to. I walked into my room and kicked my shoes off. Hopping on the bed I smiled up at the ceiling. I couldn't believe that happened.
The next morning I was woken up by the sound of my phone ringing. I reached down and grabbed my leather jacket. Rummaging through my pockets I pulled out my phone and saw that it was an unknown number. With narrowed eyes, I answered. "Hello?"
"Hey, kid. Want to help me kill a God?"

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!
