《Looed and Lost You 》_Chapter Thirty-five: Be brave_

A week later I found myself walking through the woods with Gabriel. My phone rang and I looked to see it was Dean. I answered it but before I could talk Dean cut me off.
"Cansas! I can't get the door- Goddamit!" Dean's voice rang through my phone. I stopped walking and Gabriel looked down at me confused.
"Dean? Dean, what's wrong? What door?"
"It's Sam! Sam is going to kill Lilith! She's the last seal! He going to let the devil out! I can't get the door open!" He growled and in the background, I could hear loud banging.
"Oh my god...I'll be there, hold on." I hung up and turned to Gabriel. "Sam's...I have to help."
"Sam's what? Cansas don't-" But I cut Gabriel off by disappearing. I repapered next to Dean who was using a candle holder to try and open a door. "Where Sam?"
"In there!" With one blink the door flew open and we walked into find a dead demon on the ground. Her blood was making a circle which couldn't be any good. Sam sat on the ground and the demon I had seen with him the first night Dean got back stood up.
"It's too late." She said with a smirk. "I don't care." Dean took out his demon-killing knife and stalked over to her. Sam stood up and held her down while Dean stabbed her in the stomach. I turned away from them and looked to see the blood. Branches of blood started to make their way to the center. I held my hand out and tried to stop them from meeting.
"Cansas, we're going," Dean shouted over to me but I ignored him. I couldn't let him out. I held both my hands out and forced more power into it, turning my eyes black with glowing blue irises in the process.
But to my dismay, the branches of blood meet at the center and a bright light started to grow. An overwhelming power washed over me and I stumbled backward. Dean took hold of me and pulled me closer.

"Come on, let's go," Dean said but Sam stopped him.
"He's coming." Dean then started to pull us towards the door. "GO!" He shouted but it was too late. The door slammed shut, locking us in.
"Cansas! Open the door!" I held my hand up and tied to open it. "I-it's not working." I blinked my eyes a couple times to try and get them to go back to normal but they wouldn't. "Zap us out of here!" Deans shouted. I looked up at him and his eyes widened a bit at the sight of my eyes.
"I-I can't!" The light became brighter behind us and we turned to look at it. With every growing minute, I felt myself grow stronger but I couldn't do anything to get out. Demonic roars were heard until it just became white noise. I covered my ears and fell to my knees. The brothers had done the same.
When the light blinded us the ringing stopped. I opened my eyes and found I was outside of my home. I looked around to see kids running around like nothing was happening. One saw me and screamed when seeing my eyes. "Monster!!!"
I flinched at the name but knew the kid was right. The door opened behind me and I looked over to see Balthazar and Gabriel running over.
"Cansas!" They shouted. Gabriel fell to his knees next to me. I fell into his arms. "What happened? Tell me Cansas, what happened?"
"Lilith was the last seal...S-Sam let-" I choked on my words and buried my face into his chest.
"I-I know..." His voice cracked and he buried his face in my hair.
"I couldn't...couldn't get us out of there..." Gabriel held me tighter. Balthazar knelt down next to us and I wrapped my arm around him as well. "Do you know who got you out of there?" He asked me I shook my head and he rubbed my back.
We stayed like that for what felt like hours until Balthazar spoke. "Both of you. Look at me." I looked up at him as well as Gabriel.

"We are not going to run."
"B-" Gabriel couldn't even form a word before Balthazar cut him off. "We are going to stay. And if you want to fight, then fight." Balthazar said looking over at me. "And if you just want to stay at home and do nothing that's fine as well," Balthazar said looking to Gabriel. "But we are not running." We all stayed quiet for a while.
"Alright...I'm in. If the world's going to burn I want to be at the center of it." I said blinking a couple time to try and get my eyes to go back to normal, which they didn't. Gabriel placed two fingers on my forehead and they snapped back to normal. "I'm not leaving without you...so I'll stay." Balthazar nodded.
"Good...now let's get inside. Cansas needs to get some sleep."
But whenever I got close to being fully asleep I would snap awake from a nightmare. Sometimes the dream would be of what happened earlier that day. Sometimes I would see Lucifer killing Gabriel. This one was of me. I had joined Lucifer and he had me kill everyone I love. Gabriel, Balthazar, Dean, Bobby. But not Sam. Never Sam. Lucifer would shake his head and say he needed this one. But before I could ask him why I would wake up in a panicked sweat.
"Cansas. It's alright. It just a dream." Gabriel said sitting up. I put my head in my hands as Gabriel rubbed my back. "W-what time is it?" I asked moving my hands over my face, getting my hair out of the way.
"Three in the morning." I let out a deep sigh. We stayed quiet for a while before I broke it.
"D-do...do you think your brother knows where we are?" I asked looking over at him. Gabriel looked away from me trying not to show emotion. "No...I warded the house against him..." I nodded but the feeling of Lucifer watching us never left. I laid back down and snuggled into Gabriel.
Thankfully I didn't wake up the rest of the night, but morning came and it slapped me right in the face. And by slap I mean punched me in the gut. I sat on the ground in the bathroom. My head rested on the toilet seat. I had just gotten done puking my guts up.
"Cansas-" Gabriel cut himself off when he opened the bathroom door. He rushed over and knelt down next to me. "What's wrong?" I shook my head. "Nothing..." He went to place a hand on my forehead but I shooed him away. "I'm fine...real-" I cut myself off with a groan as my stomach rumbled. He placed a hand on my back and rubbed it.
"Are you sick? What can I do?" He asked looking at me with absolute worry. "G-get Balthazar..." I groaned. "O-okay-okay stay here. Don't move!" He said getting up and running out of the bathroom. A few minutes later they both ran into the bathroom. The lights flickered as I puked again.
Gabriel knelt by my side again. "She's never gotten sick before." He said looking up at Balthazar. He snapped his fingers and a list of things showed up. "Gabriel. Go to the store and get all of this things. No using your powers."
"What why?" Gabriel asked a little panicked. "Just do as I say." Gabriel huffed and took the paper from Balthazar. "I'll be back. Don't die." He said placing a kiss on the top of my head and then leaving in the blink of an eye.
"I-I'm not sick..." I said tears forming in my eyes. Balthazar sighed and knelt down next to me. "I know dear..."
"What am I going to do? I-I'm not ready to...The world is going to end Balthazar." He pulled me into a hug. "W-what am I g-going to say to h-him?"
"Nothing for now...sometimes nature doesn't agree with them..." I nodded and let tears run down my face.
"It's all going to work out in the end...be brave dear."

Tales of the Willful Autonomous Nanobot Generator
Due to over-engineering and poor parenting; a nanobot generator is sent into the wider universe, ready to solve any and all problems...though probably not the way that was intended, or even hoped for. This story is a first time attempt to use a literary device I came up with, where I use 4 randomly selected songs to write short stories. As such there really won't be any cohesive story thread between chapters. If this gets traction, the likelihood for reader polls to influence the next story are high.
