Clove smiled at the audience. They still seemed to like her. Maybe she had a chance after all.
Caesar sat back down, smiling broadly.
Clove took a seat as well. She changed her smile into a smirk so she didn't look so innocent.
"Well Clove, how are you?" Caesar asked her sweetly.
"Spectacular." She lied, still smirking.
"Great, so, tell us, are you ready for The Games?"
"Well of course Caesar. What did you expect. I score a ten and then I am frightened of The Games?" She didn't let it show that the last part was actually true.
Caesar laughed softly. "Amazing; so," he moved a bit, leaning his elbows on his knees and resting his chin in his hands. "Is there a special guy?"
"Oh, no, not yet there isn't." Clove then added, "I am thinking of dating when I win The Games."
"Ah brilliant; what about your district partner. Cato, is it? Some people reportedly saw a bit of lovey stuff going on?"
"What? Me go out with him? Bah they must be joking!" Clove fought back shaking. They had been caught.

She crossed her fingers behind her back and prayed that Caesar would move on.
Caesar sensed her nervousness and moved on. "Right," he gave a white toothy grin. "The Games start tomorrow.. What will be your tactic?"
"Oh, just the usual. Kill people, mostly." Clove did her best grin, grateful to Caesar for changing the subject.
Caesar nodded; a buzzer went off. "That's all the time we have, good luck Clove." He said, rising.
"Thank you." Clove replied as she got up and shook his hand.
"And now, let's here it for the incredible; Cato Hadley!" Caesar motioned to the door where Cato would come from as Clove walked off the stage.

Cato took a deep breath and walked up onto the stage, a big smirk on his face.
Caesar put his hand out to shake hands with Cato. "My, my, doesn't somebody look handsome tonight?" He asked the crowd as he did.
Cato grasped his hand just a little too hard, "Mhm thank you," he smiled.
"YOUCH!" Caesar squealed. He sat down, rubbing his hand. "How on earth did you get that strong?"
Cato stifled a laugh. "Sorry mate," he moved his hand back. "Years of training." He winked.
"Well if you can maim me just by shaking my hand, you definitely have a chance at winning. What will be your strategy?"
Cato sat back in the chair, "Kill everyone." He said matter of factly.
"Sounds like a plan. So, tell me, is there anyone special in your life?" Caesar asked, grinning.
Cato hesitated a moment.
"Oh getting shy now are we? Who is she?" Caesar questioned.
"N-no." Cato squeezed his eyes shut and took a deep breath. "Well, I don't mind Glimmer. From One."

"Oh! Yes! I can see why you'd like her. She does seem absolutely gorgeous. So there's nothing going on between you and Clove?"
"Yes, she is gorgeous." Cato lied. "No, nothing, she loves being single." He frowned slightly.
"Well ok then." The buzzer went off. Caesar stood up. "That's all we have time for, but I'm sure you will have a great chance at winning!"
"Thank you Caesar." Cato nodded and rose from the seat.
Clove went up to greet Cato. "Great job!"
"Thanks," Cato smiled. "You did great too."
"Thank you." Clove replied. Candice took them back to a car.
Cato was holding her hand gently.
Clove sat down, loving the warm touch of his hand.
Cato ran his thumb over her knuckles gently.
Clove lightly squeezed his hand. They arrived. The door was opened for them.
