《Daughter (Hunger Games Fan-Fic) {Watty Awards 2015} (COMPLETED)》Chapter 5

Stella is definitely eyeing me... Along with every other child in the training center.
I quickly make my way to where they stand and find a spot between Molly and Max.
"What did I miss?" I whisper in Molly's ear.
"Stella threatened Marielle. it was ugly."
My heart was already pounding as fast as a race horse and I didn't think it could get faster but guess what it flew faster right when sh said "threatened."
"Attention... Welcome to the Training Center try to get to at least every station... Especially the "How to Make a Fire Station." The lady seemed completely submerged in her clip board, "You may begin."
I directed my attention to the glass box used for the Game makers viewing... Of course Haymitch was chugging down the wine bottle found in his right hand.
I looked around the circular room to see if I could find where Max went off to.
I found Molly throwing knives at wooden dummies... She is pretty good. Let us just say the dummy wont be getting out of this alive.
"Rosie." I turn to find Max at the archery area...
"Be right over." I run as fast as possible towards him only to find my self stopped by Stella.
"Where you think you are going." Said Stella with a smirk.
"Stella Stella Bo Bella Fanana Fana Fo Fella Fee Fi Mo Mella Stella." I sing a childish song to
"Sycho."
"Takes one to know one."
She moves back grabs a knife and throws it right past my face hitting the dummy right in the heart.
"Impressive see you in the games." I jump past her and head over towards who is now standing in a group watching Stella and I's one on one.

I pivot my feet and instead of walking towards Max I head for the climbing Gym, I could use a good climb. Next the camouflage arena where I learn the basics of camouflaging. Than the fire making station where I make a rather suitable fire not that I will use it.
Boring............................................................... I spot the archery area once agin and shuffle towards it.
The jet black Bow and Arrows send me tingling... I grab them and shoot at the first target bulls eye. Soon I have shot ten arrows and find I even split one in half by hitting the other arrow the exact spot. Everyone stares as the archery supervisor sends several fake birds flying over head... Each one get's an arrow right through the eye.
"How did training go for you Max." I ask as we sit in the waiting room for our personal training interviews.
"Not as well as yours." he replies.
"What I got bored."
"You still have a chance you know... A chance to blow the game maker's minds... just three more people and it is your turn."
He doesn't reply and soon it is his turn.
"Good luck."
"Thanks."
I seem to have dosed, of he shakes me, to awaken my slumber, sends me through the doors and wishes me luck.
"Madge- Rosie Mellark. Daughter of the Mockinjay."
"Continue Sweet heart." Haymitch says.
I go to the camoflauge station and successfully turn my arm into a tree. I move towards the climb gym and make it to the top. I get to archery and only make bulls eyes.
There eyes haven't even drifted towards me so I point the arrow at the head game makers clip board interrupting their writing and Haymitch's drinking. I silently Bowed and left.

Well let's see them put a score on their little clipboards, all about the games, is it all? About free will? Try me capitol, I am standing right here go ahead and try me.
***************************************************************************************************************
We all gathered in the living room to see our scores on the giant screen... Max and I sat next to each other and I lay my head in his lap.
Caesar went on and on... Molly got a seven... John got a ten... Finny got a eight... Than they got to thirteen...
"Maxwell Hawthorne ten." says Caesar.
"Congratulations Max." His stylist says.
"Rosie Mellark" The room goes silent, "Thirteen."
"Thirteen?" I ask.
"Oh my, oh my, oh my!" Effie falls on the couch with a huge grin.
"What did you do?" Max asks.
"My usual!"
"Off to bed tip top interviews tomorrow morning don't want to be late!"
I ran off to bed... Not sleeping just sitting there... unmoving...dead but still so alive.
My thoughts puddled into lakes leaving me with a pounding headache that brings tears to my eyes.
I tuck my head into my knees and await the silence of night to become the chirp of morning.
"Rosie!" I hear a whisper, "You awake?"
"Yes." I move out of my position to find Max standing there in his pajamas.
"I wanna show you something."
"Okay."
"Follow me." I move out of bed, my satin pink night gown flows in the direction I move as we make our way up the stairs onto the balcony but we don't stop here.
We move up the metal stairs to the roof.
"This it?"
"No."
He moves in close to me and cups my head in his hand.
My first kiss.

As humanity slowly pulled itself together, they realized that the Chromagnum brought with it a poison that corrupted the living. Abominations began cropping up around the crash site. Monsters with powdery black skin, and glowing orange eyes. Monsters who seemed hell-bent on consuming. Destroying everything in their path, the monsters swept eastwards towards the kingdom of Elendial. A war raged. And humanity crumpled. Retreating deep within their strongholds as the land became ruled by the corrupted creatures spawned by the Chromagnum. Then a leader arose, and humanity rallied. King Magnus drove back the slavering hordes and fought to bring peace to the land once more. However our story does not chronicle King Magnus’ rise to power. Nor does it detail how he collected the elites of the kingdom and forged them into the sharpest of blades. No. Our story tells the tale of young Ril Renar. An orphan. Alone, rejected by society. Ril travels across Elendial searching desperately for a family to call his own. Along the way he will find friends and struggle mightily to convince them to make a space in their hearts for him. Book 1 - Complete (0-30) Book 2 - Ongoing (31-) This story is a softcore progression classic fantasy with LitRPG elements.
