I walk quietly towards the control/conference room, every person I pass salutes, making me want to take a knife to their throats.
When arrive at the control room fifteen pairs of eyes lock on mine.
"Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen! I am Primrose Mellark. Please don't call me anything other than Primrose, I will slit your throat..." I smile, "Understood?" Everyone shakes their heads, "I am what most people call the Mockingjay, I am also a general, as of seven months ago when that doofus got in the way!" I point at Chariton, "He almost ruined a bombing. Now, back to the important stuff. For you Capitolheads..." I eye several of the soldiers, "This isn't the Capitol, you stick to a schedule, get a goodnight sleep, and obey every word your general says. Several of you will be paired with Jonny, you may have seen him around, he is literally always watching." I stare at them creepily, Chariton cracks up, "Shut up Charley! I like scaring them is that so terrible?"
"Sorry Rosie." He says still chuckling.
I walk over to him and jab my finger into his collar bone. Ever since him, his sister, Arabella, and his friend Tee, were saved by the lovely me, Chariton and I have become great friends.
"If you call me that again my finger will be replaced with a knife." I smile.
"Jeez! Hands off would ya?"
I straighten my leather jacket.
They tried to get me to wear a uniform but I refused, I hate looking like everyone else when I am so different.
"The other half of you will be paired with Sargent Maxwell and I. Max wishes he could be here to meet you all, but he is getting your blood samples to Jonny, who is also very sorry you couldn't be here. Any questions?" Elias Whetstone raises his hand. "Elias Whetstone, the one and only. Your father was an instructor for the previous rebellion am I correct?"

"Yes. I-" Elias tries to continue but I cut him off.
"Your questions will be answered at a later date, I have a very important meeting to get to." I smile.
"Yeah, a makeout meeting." Charley says sounding snarky.
"You are released, everyone but Charley that is." Charley slouches in his seat as everyone else leaves.
"Sorry Rosie." He says standing up from the table and shuffling towards me.
"Stop calling me that!" I snap.
"Sheesh!"
"Sheesh right back at you."
"I know what you need."
"What?"
He smiles and runs towards me throwing me over his shoulder.
I laugh the blood rushing to my head.
"Let me down!" I shout giggling.
"Never!" He runs through the door and skips through several hallways.
"Seriously! I am turning beet red!" He still doesn't set me down.
I put my hands under my chin, setting my elbows on his spine.
He spins a few times, making me giggle.
"I hate you." I say calmly.
"I know." He laughs.
He knocks on a door, and when it flies open he shouts,
"Delivery for Maxwell Hawthorne!" I hear Max laugh.
"How ya doing Rosie?" Max giggles and walks into the empty hallway, closing the door behind him.
"Now that all the blood has rushed to my brain! I feel good as new!" I say sarcastically.
Charley sets me down and walks down the hall like nothing happened.
I shake my head a few times and turn to Max.
"Hey." He smiles his lips touching mine.
"Hi." I smirk, wrapping my arms around his neck.
Max pulls away smiling.
"I was thinking." He says playing with my hair.
"Um-hm."
"Me and you, haven't gone up to the roof in awhile."
"Way ahead of you!" I drag him towards the stairs that lead to the roof.

Of Men and Dragons, Book 2
Jack, S'haar, and all their family are back. After crashing his ship on an underdeveloped world, Jack found friends and family among the terrifying cat-lizard natives of the world, but now mere survival is no longer enough. They must carve out a new home for themselves in the landscape of the now rapidly changing world. Raiders, politics, and even nature threaten their happiness and their lives while they struggle to deal with the nightmares and traumas of yesterday. They'll need to depend on each other more than ever if they hope for their new home to have any kind of future. In case you missed it, here's book one. ATTENTION: This is soft sci-fi rather than hard sci-fi, hence why I chose that tag. For those of you unfamiliar with the distinction, here's what Wikipedia had to say. 1. It explores the "soft" sciences, and especially the social sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, or psychology), rather than engineering or the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, or chemistry). 2. It is not scientifically accurate or plausible; the opposite of hard science fiction. Soft science fiction of either type is often more concerned with character and speculative societies, rather than speculative science or engineering. The term first appeared in the late 1970s and is attributed to Australian literary scholar Peter Nicholls.

Primacy Online
Life on Earth was nearly eradicated in World War III, but using alien technology, the Patriarch of the Church of the Resurrection built a new society from the ashes. He created what he called the Constructed Reality MMORPG, Primacy Online, a world so real that the players could not distinguish it from reality. After outlawing wars between the city-states on Earth, he declared that all wars would be fought inside the world of Primacy Online. Thirteen hundred years later, the release of Primacy Online VI: Legacy of Balor signals the beginning of World War IX. Players from Earth's city-states will be locked in cryogenic capsules and play Primacy Online in War Mode. Their achievements in the game will determine the victory rankings of their city-states, but if they die in the game, they will die for real. Patrick Armagh found flaws in the game mechanics of Primacy Online and exploited them to rise to the peak of the game. But when the Church declared he was cheating, he was perma-banned from the game. Now, the Church has declared that Patrick and all the other perma-banned cheaters will be included in a special Church group for World War IX, where they can earn redemption for their sin of cheating. However, Morgan Danan, Speaker of the City of Mann, and the generally acknowledged number one player of Primacy Online, has a deal for Patrick. With her help and his method of cheating, he has the chance to become a virtual god within Primacy Online, but by taking up her offer, he will become an enemy of the Church. Like a significant percentage of Primacy Online players, Patrick suffers from an ultimately fatal, degenerative nervous system disorder. He has less than five years to live. With death staring him in the face and nothing to live for, he accepts Morgan Danan's offer, and once again, enters Primacy Online as Crom Cruach, a disgraced legend. Will Crom Cruach, once again, become a legend, or will he be destroyed by the Church? What secrets has the Church hidden inside the game?
