(3rd POV)
There he goes, pacing around. Trying to find the gift "where is it!?" While scattering almost everything around the cottage
"What are you searching this early?" The confetti Cousin asked as she peeked through the doorway, "it's (y/n)! I have a promise to her. I'll meet her today, I only have 30 minutes to prepare! And the gift I promised her is not here!"
"Need help?" She offered, "no, no! I got this" he insisted. She sighed and leave him behind.
(Hairtousle Teen POV)
I think to myself, there's no way someone could've stolen it, it can't be my cousin or even Boogie, what if my parents went to my room and trashed it!?
I sighed in defeat as I laid back at my bed, I grumbled in frustration. Until I felt something around my pillow,
I took my pillow, "it was here the whole time!?" I shouted to myself. And quickly open the small box,
"Brother" the Boogie kid called my name, I hide my box in my other hand. "there's a guest downstairs"
I shattered to piece, this isn't the perfect timing. I never expect my first date with (y/n) to go like this, "yeah, just... Wait a minute" I keep my voice calm trying not to sound sad.
He left from my doorway, I sat still at the edge of my bed. Holding and looking at the small box that reveals a small gash. I can't lie to (y/n) that I lost the gift. So might as well accept my fate if she hates this.
I get up, and went downstairs "Teen!" She greeted cheerfully. My core best very fast, but at the same time hurt. I hid both of my hands behind my back "hey! (Y/n)"

"Let's visit Sanctuary island! I want to see the Elder Manta again!" She chirped.
I softened but still trying to hide the box behind me, the good thing about (y/n) is that she's not that clever when someone is hiding something from her, it gives me time to rethink should I give her the gift.
"Sure, let's go to the sanctuary" she holds my arm tightly when I said that, it's not like it's my first time. But it's just making me uneasy, I guess it's because I'm hiding it from her.
.
.
.
.
As we were walking, I kept thinking if I should be honest or not. She seems to be so happy today and I don't want to ruin her moments. Those thoughts loaded my mind
"Teen?" She whispers making me twitch
"Yeah?"
"You're a bit off lately, something happens? Or are you sick?" She asked, I laughed awkwardly. "N-no, just remember something odd", she oh'ed and continue to fly with me.
As we reached the waterfall area, I decided to tell her. "(Y/n)-", " looked at these flowers, aren't they beautiful?" She asked as she sits down on the green grass touching the flowers.
I swallowed, and sigh "yes, yes. They're beautiful"
I can't tell her about the Box. I could've just dropped the box at the water and lied that my Mother trashed it, but I can't lie to her. No way. As she was done resting. She stands up and flies with me again.
We stay at the top of the mountain, looking at the dozens of manta racing. "Look at those things, they're so mesmerizing." She admired as she points at one of the mantas, I played along for a couple of minutes.
"Oh, by the way, Teen"
I immediately looked at her. "About the gift, you promise..." She mentioned.

"What is it you want to show me?" She asked sweetly, I stutter at first "oh- it's, um..." She hum wanting me to continue, I sighed to myself.
"Look (y/n), I brought what I promised. But, it's different" she tilted her head "what do you mean?", I took out the small box from behind. The cover was showing a little hole, I open the box.
It's a little flower tie, some of the designs are falling apart. And the color is fading, I looked down not wanting to see her reaction, " Teen! This is sweet!" She responded.
I perked up "what?"
"This is so cute! You made this for me?" She blushed slightly looking at the handmade gift, I nodded with a blush.
"Awww, that's adorable. You don't have to why we're you hiding this from me?" She asked, "i- I put it under my pillow this morning. And it broke, and since I don't want to lie to you I just bought it. In case if you want it" I explained
She giggles, "no matter how bad it is. It's sweet, no one has ever given me such gift!" She said. I lighten up at her words a bit proud of myself.
"Though, I'm quite disappointed that you hide this from me" she joked, I laughed.
"Do you like my present?" I asked
"I love it" she said kissing my cheek, I blushed trying not to faint. Now she looks more beautiful with my handmade gift.

Apocalypse at Mighty Max
God sold us out and the world ended... well, sort of. God may have sold us, or at least, our universe but our world didn't end. Instead, the new owners decided to play, and we all know what that means: Monsters, a System, Magic, Cultivation, and, of course, two new moons! Thanks for reading! I appreciate the interest. This is a rough draft and is intended to flesh out some ideas for a novel that I had. Maybe figure out if I want to do this author thing, you know? If you want immediately OP MCs, fights every chapter, a harem, this is not the story for you. Sorry about that. If you're willing to put up with a long growth curve, an MC that doesn't know what he's doing most of the time but is trying his best both to survive and to help his friends survive, you might enjoy the story. I'm just trying to have fun, maybe create something that in a second draft I can sell on the eBook market. If you're not into that, not into providing helpful comments for revisions, hey, that's cool, but do us both a favor and stop reading now. ** Oh, release schedule For the first weeks, I'll be releasing a chapter (1800-3000 words) a day. Following that, I'll be releasing whenever the mood strikes me. If I get some feedback, the mood might strike me more often, hint! hint!
