Sky lay on the bed, the blissful afterglow of their lovemaking still keeping her warm like a soft blanket. Her body was all soft and relaxed, and yet still hot and she felt like she was lying on top of clouds instead of the bed, the room around them barely existed.

"That really... was good?" Hawk asked what felt like for the thousandth time. He was by her side, leaning his head on his hand, looking down at her like she was the most amazing thing he had ever seen.

Sky could definitely get used to being looked like that. And to feeling like this.

"Yes!" She laughed. "That was fucking amazing. I've never come like that in my life."

"Really?"

"Yes," she replied again, turning to face him properly. "Would you stop asking already?"

He smiled, giving her that crooked grin that made his whole face lit up and always made Sky's heart skip beats.

"Sorry," he replied, running his fingers through her hair, his touch so gentle and loving that it made Sky's chest tighten. "I guess I just like hearing you say that."

It was a scary thing to love someone this much, to let someone near like this. It was all new to Sky - she had never felt like this before, and sometimes it scared the shit out of her.

Of course, she had loved Kat - but that had been different. Her love for Kat had been like an ocean - endless, deep, and full of strong currents. It had been that kind of a love that would have lasted forever, the kind of love that could have taken anything. Sky had never doubted it, she had always known they'd be best friends through life, that they'd go to the same college, they would get married at the same time, get kids so that they would be of the same age, they would grow old together and whatever bad stuff life would throw on their way, they'd deal with that shit together - because that's what family is for, and Kat had been her sister in every sense but blood.

Sky's love for Hawk was something else. It was no less powerful, but it was still new, and very different in nature. It was a blazing explosion of sunlight that filled her from head to toe, it was a primitive need and blind trust, it was bubbling joy and paralyzing fear.

Not fear of him, of course - Sky would never be scared of Hawk - but fear of losing him.

Losing Kat had almost killed her. It had been carving out her beating, bleeding heart, and choking on her own blood, day after day after day, for almost a year now.

If she ever lost Hawk–

Sky couldn't even finish that thought, it threatened to crush her, it squeezed her heart with iron claws, and she pushed it off her mind with all her might.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Hawk asked, his vast, blue eyes never missing anything.

Sky shook her head, shoving the fear and the sorrow somewhere deep, deep into the darkest corners of her mind. "Nothing, just let it go."

His throat bobbed - a sharp movement under the skin of his throat. "You sure?"

"I'm sure–," Sky replied with a half-smile, and to get that lingering sadness off her mind, she continued: "Your first time and you made me come, like so fucking hard—" she ran her fingers over the sharp line of his collarbone. "That was pretty awesome."

Again Hawk grinned, the look on his face melting something in Sky's core.

"Yeah, that was awesome."

"So, was it as good as you had thought it would be?" she asked, raising her eyes to meet his blue gaze.

"Better," his voice was low, raspy. "Fuck, Sky, I don't even have words for that."

And now it was her time to grin.

Fuck, she was so disgusting in love with him that it was all but ridiculous! And she wanted him, wanted like someone dying of thirst wants water, she needed him like she needed the air she breathed. The things he had made her feel–

With Matt, it had never been like this.

He had been a taker, all he had ever done had been to take and to take and to take. She had been too much in love with him to realize, too smitten with his good looks and his charming ways to notice that, and oh, so willingly she had let him take what he wanted. And so Matt had fucked her - and that's what it had been, nothing more. He had used her like she was a thing, not a person, always demanding more. It had always been about what he wanted, what he needed - and she had mistaken his lust for love. Not once had he asked how he should touch her to make her feel good, not fucking once. And he'd been rough - it had hurt every time, and stupid, stupid, stupid, so fucking stupid, Sky had just thought it was supposed to be like that, that it was supposed to hurt.

But Hawk was different.

Sky's blood turned hot in her veins when she remembered how he had said he wanted her to feel good, how he had touched her just like she had asked him to, and the gentle touch of his calloused fingers had made her so ready for him, so fucking wet for him, that it hadn't hurt one bit when she'd taken his dick inside of her.

Only now did she realize why it was called making love.

It hadn't hurt. It had felt amazing, it had felt like it was meant to be and Sky still couldn't quite believe how she had come so hard it had felt like a sweet, wonderful death. Sky had had no idea it could be like this - so fucking perfect. And even if that orgasm had left her shattered, exhausted, she still wanted more, more, more–

By the look in his eyes, she suspected he wanted more too. And he would skip karate if she asked, and he would make her come again, with those long, delicate fingers of his, and maybe his tongue too, and that beautiful, perfect, big dick... until Sky would be nothing more than a shivering mess on the bed, moaning out his name—

She blushed at her own thoughts.

Get your shit together!

He needs to go to karate. The tournament is in two weeks, and you know how much it means to him.

So instead of snuggling closer to him, and pulling him into a kiss, Sky sat up, and turned her eyes away, running a hand through her hair which was a complete mess.

"I should get going," she said. "And so should you."

Hawk let out a disappointed groan. "I don't want to."

"Come on, don't you have somewhere to be?"

Hawk's hand that had been absentmindedly caressing Sky's arm, moved to her waist, then to her thigh - and even through the sheet, she felt the inviting warmth of his touch.

"I can skip karate," he said, his eyes dark. The way his voice got caught in his throat made Sky shiver.

"No, you can't. The All Valley is in two weeks, and you need practice." To prevent herself from slipping back into his arms, under those sheets, to feel the warmth of his lean body on hers, Sky stood up and started searching for her clothes. "Besides, I need to start writing my Social Studies essay."

Hawk let out a groan that almost crushed Sky's resistance, and lay down on the bed on his back, throwing his arms on his sides. Sky didn't even dare to look him in the eye, she didn't want to see the need she knew would be there.

"Fine," he said with a low, throaty voice. And then, after a small silence, as Sky was pulling on the panties she had found on the floor. "You wanna come with me?"

That made Sky turn around and meet his gaze.

"I'm not coming," she said firmly. "I quit. Remember?"

Hawk let out a sigh and sat up too. "And I keep hoping you'd change your mind. And it's not just me. Aisha really misses you, and Sensei–"

"Then why haven't I heard a word from Sensei, huh?" Sky asked almost angrily, but it was really shame that burnt her heart, not anger. "He thinks I'm a quitter, and that's all there is to it."

"He would only think that if you actually quit," Hawk said silently, and Sky didn't bother to answer. She really didn't want to get into a fight, not over karate, not after the mind-blowing sex they'd had. She found her bra and her dress, both crumpled on the floor, and started getting dressed, feeling Hawk's eyes still on her body.

Luckily Hawk seemed to want to avoid the fight too because he changed the subject.

"Hey, what did Rico say? Did you ever go to see him?"

"Yeah, I did," Sky replied. "Thanks for making that appointment for me."

"And?" Hawk asked, and Sky turned to give him a small smile, as she finished getting dressed. He was still in the bed, naked, only a white sheet covering the lower half of his body, and suddenly seeing him like that made Sky's heart leap against her throat. He looked so fucking hot, that Sky was beginning to regret her decision to spend the rest of the evening with John Locke and her cat, Napoleon.

"Well," Sky replied, turning her eyes off that distracting sight. "Rico said the tattoo I want would be tricky, and that he wanted to consult someone else–"

"Really?" Hawk's brows furrowed. What are you planning to have done, if it's so complex that Rico needs to ask for advice? I mean, he's pretty good."

That made Sky's lips curve into a smile. "I told you, it's a surprise."

"So you keep saying," Hawk noted.

He looked so disappointed that Sky almost felt bad for him, but she wasn't going to give in. After all, not everything in her life had to be about Hawk. She was taking this tattoo for herself - it had nothing to do with him, and everything to do with her getting some kind of closure. Gods knew she needed that.

"I promise, you'll be the first person to see it when it's done," she said firmly.

"Fine," he replied, though a bit reluctantly. "When are you getting it done?"

"In the summer," Sky said. "I have more time when the school year is over."

Hawk threw his long legs over the edge of the bed and gave Sky a small grin. "I'm thinking about getting another tattoo too."

"Oh? What kind?"

"You'll see."

He gave her a look that made Sky's toes curl on the soft carpet. She was suddenly hot all over, just for looking at him, sitting there naked on his bed, giving her a cocky grin like that. It almost made Sky peel off everything she was wearing, and jump back between the sheets with him.

He probably saw that need in her eyes, for he stood up and the sheet slid off him as he did so, revealing his gorgeous naked body to Sky's eyes. She felt her cheeks heating as her glance glided on his body, on the smooth skin over hard muscle, his long, graceful limbs, his tight abdomen, and—

Her throat went dry. His beautiful dick was half-hard already, and every inch of Sky's body wanted it, wanted to touch it, to taste it, to have it inside of her fucking core–

"I really need to go," she squealed, her voice an octave higher than normal, and grabbed her backpack, but her feet were glued to the floor.

Slowly he walked to her, reached a hand, and pulled her close. His naked body was like a magnet, she felt the pull in her gut like there was a hook in her insides hauling her towards him. His arms around her were heaven on earth, and she leaned her head on his shoulder, breathing in his familiar scent that always made her feel like she was home, like she was safe.

Against her lower abdomen, she felt his arousal, pressing on the fabric of her dress.

"Sky, don't go. I can skip Karate, it's not a big deal," he murmured close to her ear, and she felt the warm air of his breath falling on her temple.

"What, you think you can lure me back into bed with you?" she teased, tilting up her face to meet his eyes.

"I hope so," he replied, and his hands were in her hair, his fingers brushing through her curls. Sky's mouth went dry with desire, and she couldn't help herself. Her lips opened even before they crashed together with his, their mouths merged in a burning kiss. She let his tongue enter her mouth, softly stroking between her lips, and the desire in Sky's veins turned into pure lust.

She had never wanted anything in her life as much as she wanted Hawk, and suddenly she was scared that fire would burn her, and consume her until there was nothing left.

She broke the kiss with a gasp, took a step back to break the contact of their bodies, and the hook embedded in the muscle of her heart twisted and turned and tore on her flesh.

"Sorry, I really have to go–" she breathed, keeping her eyes up, fearing that even a glance of his naked gorgeousness would be enough to crush her resolution.

"Sky–" he moaned, his voice thick with need, and reached a hand as if to pull her back close, but Sky backed towards the door, gripping her backpack in her hands so that her knuckles turned white.

"There's a Monday next week too," she said, giving him a small smile. "Save something for that."

She walked away before he had a chance to answer, leaving him standing there naked in the middle of his room, and walked downstairs, out of the front door, not once glancing back

Only when she was driving home, did she realize that she had forgotten her Social Studies book on his desk - so much for studying, then.

No Karate, no studying, no sex with Hawk - I guess I'm gonna have to think of something else to do.
