《Harry Hook X Reader X Carlos De Vil》Chapter 29

A few months past, and I'm still friends with the VKs, including the new couple.
The daughter of Fairy Godmother and the son of Cruella De Vil announced to their friends that they're officially dating since the day after cotillion.
It made me sad, really sad.
Heck, depressed even!
But I just made myself to accept the truth that Carlos doesn't love me anymore and just sees me as his friend.
Jane and Carlos would always try to apologize or just have a chat with me whenever they get the chance to see or bump into me in the many hallways of Auradon Prep.
I would always dodge the question or change the topic, because I don't want their pity.
Or rub it in my face that my ex-boyfriend picked someone else than me.
Everyone was now outside, waiting for the royal couple to come out.
The new villain kids would come today and Ben was thinking to propose to Mal today, the VKs and I helped him set everything up and it's amazing!
I looked over at Carlos and Jane with a frown on my face.
I should be happy, right? Because I can now be with Harry.
But I haven't been going to the Isle since and Mal told me that I should stop seeing them because Uma's hiding and might find a way to break the barrier.
Me being a good friend, I complied.
Mal and Ben are always busy with their royal stuff so I can't ask her to accompany me back to the Isle, so is the other VKs.
Especially Carlos, that would be awkward...
"You're staring again."
I jumped when someone whispered in my ear.
I turned around and saw Evie with a smile.
"Sorry... It's just, new, I guess.."
I smiled sheepishly as she nodded.
The royal couple finally comes out and walked towards the stage.

Finally we can start!
"Here they come." Evie said and the marching band started to play music.
"Bippity boppity 1, 2. 1, 2. Can everybody hear me?" Fairy Godmother asked, making us all cheer.
She gave the mic to Ben. "Thank you, Fairy Godmother."
He looked around at us and started to speak, "What's up, Auradon?"
The crowd cheered louder than before, making us all laugh.
"Thank you so much for coming out to welcome our new arrivals! They'll be here soon. It worked out pretty well for the first four." Ben continued.
"Yeah, especially for you!"
Chad shouted from next to Audrey and her grandmother, making Audrey stop him from saying anything else.
Ben turned to his girlfriend.
"Mal, this is the exact spot we first met not so long ago. I feel like I've known you my whole life, but did I mention I'm in love with you?"
Mal smiled at him and Doug started to play the guitar.
Ben started to sing and kneeled down infront of Mal as the short song stopped.
Everyone, especially Mal, was surprised.
Ben gave me the mic and grabbed the small box from his pocket.
"Mal, it's you and me. It's you and me forever."
Mal covered her mouth with her hands and looked as if she was about to cry.
"Will you marry me?" Ben asked, revealing the small beautiful ring.
"Will you be my queen?" He added while everyone gasped.
"No!"
Audrey shouted, slightly ruining the moment but luckily Mal answered,
"Yes!"
All of us cheered and I went to hug the person next to me.
I stopped myself to realize that it was Carlos, he was also about to hug me and we ended up awkwardly smiled at eachother.
Ben and Mal kissed as I jumped with Evie in joy.

Mal then ran down the stage towards us and all of us hugged.
"Did you guys know?!"
"Everything!" Evie and I answered in unison.
"You're going to rock that crown!" Evie said, smiling at her bestfriend.
"Okay, so I've done about a thousand sketches of your wedding dress." Evie added.
"And Belle's already planned an engagement party next week!" I finished, pushing her towards Ben's parents.
"Really good thing I said yes!" Mal hugged them and had a chat while Evie and I walk towards the boys.
I hugged the boys, except Carlos, and talked about the oncoming plans.
All of us turned back to Mal as Jay joked, "All bow to her royal majesty!"
Carlos followed, "Oh yes! Her royal purpleness!"
All of us bowed to Mal and laughed.
"Silence, you peasants." Mal joked back, waving and walking towards the other students.
"As you wish my liege!" Jay shouted.
"Your crankiness." Carlos added, making us laugh again.
I miss his humor.
"Okay, let's do this!" Ben said, fist bumping Jay.
I can't wait to see the Isle again!
Ever since Ben gave all of the villain kids a chance to be in Auradon, the streets are filled with color and the VKs' names are on the streets and alleyways.
I hope to see Harry again...
Mal walked over to us as we entered the limo.
We got to the Isle and saw the similar scene when the first VKs were about to leave, but I didn't see Harry nor Gil anywhere.
The kids went in with the others and talked with them.
I just looked at them and smiled.
I glanced over to Carlos and one of the twins who were right next to me.
As the limo just went passed the barrier, I looked back at the Isle and saw Hades put his hand out of the barrier.
"It's Hades!" I shouted and all of them looked back.
Jay stopped the limo and we got out.
Hades popped his head out of the now big hole, glaring at us.
"I AM A GOD!" He shouted, his hair turned into blue fire.
"I don't belong here!"
Ben, Jay, and Carlos tried to run towards him but got shot by Hades instead.
Mal turned into her dragon form and was zapped by Hades with a blue light.
"Come on, Mal! Blast him!" Jay shouted, making her roar loudly at Hades.
Mal's breath was strong enough to push him back into the Isle.
Evie went to Ben and Jay, and I instinctively go to Carlos.
"Are you okay?"
He looked at me and we shared a look, "Yeah."
Our gaze was broken as Mal went back to her normal form.
Evie and I rushed to her and helped her stand.
"Are you okay?" Evie asked, concerned for her bestfriend.
"No." Mal said in pain, staring at Hades while holding her stomach.
"He was draining all of my magic with the ember and I felt all of my powers slipping away."
"You're safe." I reassured her, looking at Mal then at Hades. "He's back where he belongs."
"Yeah, for now." Mal replied as Hades walked away from the barrier.
"We should go." Jay suggested, dragging Mal back to the limo.
I felt a hand on my arm and saw Carlos pulling me away from the scene.
A spark slightly appeared between our hands, making us back away and awkwardly walk to the limo.
Gosh, is there anything more embarrassing than this?
