《Naruto The Shinobi Hunter》Chapter 18

Naruto sat on a medical bed as Kushina sat in a chair across the room. Tsunade was sitting in an arm-chair with papers in front of her. Shizune was standing next to Naruto, beads of sweat rolling down her forehead, "Alright. It's the ass-crack of dawn, I haven't had my sake-diluted coffee, and Tonton ate my breakfast," Tsunade complained, making a majority of the people in the room flinch
"T-Tsunade-sama, p-please, calm down," Shizune begged
"No, no, it's fine. Let's just get this over with," Tsunade turned her attention to Kushina, who perked up when they met eye-contact, "okay. Here I am. What do you need?"
"Tsunade-sama, w-would you please make sure my son is alright?" Kushina asked. Tsunade raised an eyebrow, as she looked at Naruto and then back at Kushina, "7 in the morning? For a check-up? For the brat that survived an explosion?" Tsunade questioned. Kushina then grew a tick-mark on her forehead as she tightened her fist, "Yes, exactly you old bat,"
"What did you call me?"
"You losing your earring too, you old warhorse?" Kushina said, a little louder, causing Tsunade to stand up
"I don't have to take this from you,"
"Then do your thing oh great 'Tsunade Senju'!" Kushina shouted
"FINE! I WILL!" Tsunade yelled, marching over to Naruto with a clipboard and pencil, "Alright you little cringe nugget! We're doing a little check-up! Let's start! Name?"
"Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze," Naruto replied
"Date of birth?"
"October 10, XXXX,"
"Have you had any surgery in the last 12 months?"
"Yes," Naruto answered, 'You're the one that worked on me, you should know this,'
"Have you had any drugs or alcohol in the last few weeks?"

"No,"
"Have you had any sexual partners in the last few months?" Tsunade asked, making Kushina look over Tsunade's shoulder and stair directly at Naruto
"No?"
"Alright. Next up," Tsunade gave the clipboard to Shizune as the former placed her index finger in the middle of Naruto's vision, "keep your eye on my finger. I'll use my other hand to test your peripheral vision,"
"Okay," Naruto replied. Tsunade then moved her fingers just outside of Naruto's vision. First the left, then the right, then above him and finally below him. When she was done, she had Naruto hold out his arms, "Alright, hold out your arms. I'm gonna try and push them down, you try your best to resist,"
"Alright," Naruto held out his arms as Tsunade began to push down on his arms. Naruto grit his teeth as he pushed up against Tsunade. Tsunade rolled her eyes as she began pushing against Naruto's arms. It took her a second to realize that something was off. She then looked at Kushina, "Hey, come here," Tsunade ordered. Kushina stood up and walked over to her son, "Is there something wrong?"
"Push down," Tsunade said
"Excuse me?"
"Push. Down," Tsunade repeated, pointing at Naruto's arms. Kushina looked at Tsunade like she was crazy as she placed her hands around her son's arms. It was then that Kushina felt like she was holding onto something that wasn't her son. Naruto's arms felt too dense, too... something. Kushina then began pushing down and was struggling a bit, "What's going on?" Kushina asked
"I... don't know," Tsunade answered, "Shizune, go get me the blood-draw kit,"
"Wait, blood-draw?" Naruto questioned
"Right away, Tsunade-sama!" Shizune bowed, quickly running out of the room

"Wait, what's going on?"
"Nothing, brat. You'll get your ramen after this is all done,"
"I've lost enough blood these past few months! I'm not loosing any more!"
"SHUT-UP!" Tsunade screamed in Naruto's face. Naruto sat there for a few seconds... growling. His heart-beat accelerated, generating a loud drum-like echo in the room. Kushina and Tsunade were confused as to where the noise was coming from until Shizune came into the room with blood-draw equipment, "I've got what you asked for, Tsunade-sama!" Shizune said, handing her master the equipment. Tsunade thanked Shizune as she began to make take Naruto's blood, "Alright, brat. Hold still, this will only hurt for a minute,"
Walking out of the hospital with a blue and white bandage over his arm, Naruto was eating a chocolate-chip muffin as he followed Kushina and Shizune, "How long will it take?" Kushina asked
"A few days, at most. But I have no idea what she's looking for,"
"Hopefully it's not anything bad,"
'Look at them, talking about me like I'm not here. Tch, the least they could've done was tell me that I was gonna die nearly a year ago,' Naruto thought to himself. He continued eating his muffin until he wondered passed an alley-way. Looking down the alley, he stood there, fishing his muffin and tossing the wrapper on the ground, he ran to catch-up with Kushina and Shizune. As he ran away from the alley, something game out of the ground. A man with black and white skin, wearing a black cloak with red clouds.
"" the man said to himself, "yes, it appears so. I must say, he's quite interesting. Training with that one guy in the forest and with Itachi,"
","
"Yeah, I agree... anyway, we better find out everything we can. And make sure this gets into the kids' hands," the man said, pulling out a scroll
""
"But that's the fun part,"
"" the man seethed, before disappearing into the ground.
Naruto sat at home, sitting on his bed as he looked up the ceiling, "I need to visit Garou-sensei," he whispered. He then heard a thud on his floor and the sound of something rolling. Sitting up, Naruto looked down at the floor and saw a scroll rolling toward him, "A Heaven Scroll?" Naruto said, "what's a Chunin exam scroll like this doing here?" Naruto wondered, before opening it and seeing something on the paper that made his eye widen... 'Danzo Shimura' written in blood with five dots of blood below his name.

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
