《Elegance | Harry Potter》Phlegm

"Evelyn darling!" Mrs. Weasley greeted me with a warm hug as Ron and Ginny came down to greet Hermione and I. I spent the summer at Hermione's house before heading to the burrow for the last few days. Her parents were extremely kind to me, treated me as their own child. Something I never knew I craved.
"Evelyn!" A similar voice came running down the stairs.
"Fleur?" I called out. From behind Mrs. Weasley Fleur ran towards me pulling me into a tight hug.
"Fleur! What are you doing here? What happened back in France? Where's Gabrielle?"
"She's with her friends and I met a boy, Bill Weasley," She said pulling back. From behind her, a tall ginger man walked towards us with a smile. Mrs. Weasley and Ginny both rolled their eyes subtly before walking away.
"Hi Evelyn, nice to meet you. I'm Bill" He said shaking my hand.
"Pleasure"
"Come follow me, I'll tell you everything that has happened," Fleur said grabbing my arm and pulling me up the stairs. She led me into a small room with two beds. It was about half of Gabrielle's room, extremely small.
(A/N) Italicized is French!
"What happened after Gabrielle and I left? What happened to dad?" She asked sitting down on a worn out bed.
"She's a death eater doing death eater things of course. Dad tried to get me to leave our manor when Apolline found out. The two got in a duel and Apolline used the killing curse on him. I watched him die Fleur, I watched him die so I could live" I whispered. She was shocked and covered her mouth. A sudden sadness rushed over her face. I didn't tell Fleur about Voldemort considering her to carry his heir. Especially with Bill, she'd be in too much pain to hear it.
She pulled me towards her sitting me down right beside her and rubbed my hand with no words, her fingers tracing the scars on my hand from the special quill Umbridge used against me. She looked down so quickly bringing my hand up to her face examining it furrowing her eyebrows.
"Who did this to you?" She muttered squinting her eyes at the sight of the horrid marks.
"Dolores Umbridge"
"Umbridge! If dad had known about this-"
"Except he won't"
Fleur fell silent. She sighed deeply placing my hand back down on my lap looking at me worriedly.
"Well, what happened between you and Bill?" I asked with a slight smile changing the subject. Just by the mention of Bill's name Fleur's expressions lightened and a big smile appeared on her face.
"We met at Gringotts. I came to improve my English and to stay near you sometime last year and fell in love"
I scoffed into laughter. Ron was fawning over Fleur and now she's dating his brother. Not to forget, I'd really be a part of the Weasley family. All this time I saw Ron as an older brother and now he really would be my brother in law.

"I don't think Bill's family likes me though," She said rolling her eyes a little, "I tried my best to get on their liking but they just don't like me. They seem to like you though"
I laughed a little again, I know for a fact Ron likes Fleur. I do remember Hermione hinting that she doesn't like Fleur during the tri-wizard tournament. It is a little strange, none of them talk to Fleur, yet came to dislike her. Even though they were my friends, I won't let them be unfair to my own sister.
"I'll try talking to them," I said laying down on the bed we were sitting on.
"Before you came, Ginny Weasley and I shared this room. I tried to talk to her but every time, she would ignore me". I raised my eyebrows a little, her English did improve although her accent was still there. Anyway, what reason was there for Ginny to not like my sister?
"She'll come through, she's a nice person," I said yawning. The door suddenly opened and Ginny and Hermione walked in. Fleur quickly sat up straight smiling at the two only to be ignored. She was right, Ginny seemed to really dislike Fleur, even Hermione. The two walked in not even looking at Fleur and sat down on another bed beside us.
"Hi Ginny," I said furrowing my eyebrows slightly. She looked at me and smiled a little, the smile quickly turned into a frown when she met eyes with Fleur.
"What did I say?" Fleur whispered laying beside me. I quickly looked towards Hermione who quickly looked away and towards Ginny. The two began talking on their own completely ignoring Fleur's presence, it was extremely strange. I was a little annoyed at the two, they may be my best friends but Fleur was still my sister.
***
The next day during breakfast and lunch the tension between Mrs. Weasley and Fleur was noticeable. Bill was trying to switch up subjects whenever Mrs. Weasley would bring up Fleur but the tension was undeniable. I stayed with Fleur all the time except when she was with Bill. When she left will Bill I'd just go to Ron's room and play Wizard's chess with him while Hermione read a book beside us.
Right after dinner, Fleur went outside for a walk with Bill. I went upstairs to Ron's room with Hermione and sat down resting my back on his bed beside Hermione. I didn't exactly want to talk to Hermione or Ginny at the moment and tried to ignore them as much as I could.
"Do you want to play Wizard's chess Evelyn?" Ron asked pulling out a chessboard.
"Of course not" I smiled at him before looking down at my book.
"What? Why?" He furrowed his eyebrows.

"Why? Because you always win Ronald" I said placing my book on the ground.
"I'm going to go brush my teeth," Hermione said sighing and closing her book storming out of the room.
"What's up with her?" Ron asked furrowing his eyebrows once again.
"That's what I've been wondering too ever since we got here" I mumbled. Ever since I stopped talking to her as often our tension was rising too.
"Is it because of you're sister?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well you know, Ginny talks bad about her a lot to Hermione. The two hate her, something about Fleur not loving Bill and her personality"
"Really?" I scoffed, that's just a stupid reason. "And do you not like Fleur because she likes your brother instead of you?"
"Shove off, that was a childhood crush. I don't have a problem with her though" He said slighting pushing my shoulders.
"You don't have a problem with her because she's pretty"
"What? No! I mean yes she's pretty but no!"
"I won't ever forget you freaking out over her rejecting your to the Yule Ball- no she didn't even reject you, you just ran away"
"I could say the same about you freaking out about Harry not asking you to the Yule Ball" He scoffed. I glared at him before hitting him hard on his shoulders with the book I was reading.
"Bloody hell" He muttered rubbing his shoulders.
"Oh, and you freaking out because Hermione didn't go to the Yule Ball with you?"
"That was because Viktor was our enemy! You went with Malfoy". I smacked his shoulders with my book again.
"Harry Potter of course" We both stopped once we heard Ginny's voice mention Harry's name. We looked at each other furrowing our eyebrows and just froze for a minute.
"I think I'd know if Harry Potter was in my house wouldn't I?" Mrs. Weasley's voice said followed by the sound of footsteps.
"His trunks in the kitchen and his owl"
"No dear, I seriously doubt that," Mrs. Weasley said followed by a very familiar screech of an owl. Ron and I looked at each other for another second before rushing out of the door leaning against the railing looking down the stairs.
"Harry? Did someone say Harry?" Ron called out looking down at Ginny.
"Yeah, is he up there in your room?"
"Of course not, you'd think I know if my best friend was in my room"
"Is that an owl I heard?" Hermione said rushing out of the bathroom above us.
"You haven't seen him, have you? Apparently he's wandering around the house" Ginny replied looking back up at her.
"Really?"
"Really," Ron echoed my voice.
"Harry!" Mrs. Weasley called out running down stairs as Ginny turned around and followed. Ron and I looked at each other with a big smile before running down the stairs.
When we had ran downstairs, Harry really was standing at the front of the door hugging Ginny.
"Harry" I called out. His eyes met mine and a big smile formed on his face and mine. I ran over giving him a tight hug wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Evelyn" He whispered hugging me back.
"Harry!" Hermione called out rushing towards him as I backed away. She pulled him into a tight hug before pulling back as Mrs. Weasley came over to hug him.
"Why didn't you let us know you were coming!" Mrs. Weasley exclaimed.
"I didn't know. Dumbledore"
"Oh that man, but what would we do without him"
I turned toward Ron to find him pointing at Hermione's lips. When he realized I was looking at him he quickly pulled his hand away moving around awkwardly.
"You've got... A bit of toothpaste" He mumbled. Everyone's eyes were on Hermione and Ron confused.
"Let's go to your room Harry" Hermione coughed slightly pulling Harry away. I raised my eyebrows at Ron before we walked back upstairs towards Ron and Harry's shared room.
Harry sat down leaning his back on his bed as the rest of us sat surrounding him. I sat in between Harry and Ron feeling a little uncomfortable to sit beside Hermione.
"So when did you guys get here?"
"Evelyn and I arrived yesterday. Though for a while I wasn't sure if I was coming"
"Mom sort of lost it last week. Said Ginny and I have no business going back to Hogwarts, because it's... Too dangerous"
"She's not alone. Even my parents who are muggles know something bad is happening"
"This is Hogwarts we're talking about, under Dumbledore. What could be safer?" Harry said furrowing his eyebrows.
"I don't know Harry, every time I thought that our life was in danger. He's also getting a bit old" I said.
"Rubbish! He's only- what is he?"
"150? Give or take a few years?" Ron replied as the four of us broke into laughter.
"God I can't stand Phlegm-" Ginny said walking in rolling her eyes and sitting beside Hermione not yet realizing I was here. "She's using Bill! Not to forget how girly she is and cocky about her looks. She's not even that pretty"
Hermione nudged her and Ginny's smile faded quickly when she saw me. Phlegm, that's what she called Fleur? Just to mock her French accent?
"Ridiculous" I mumbled rolling my eyes before storming out of the room and into mine.

Our Shattered Realms
*This is a learning experience for me so please keep in mind that I am attempting to work on some of the issues brought to my attention early on. However I haven't yet gone back to redo the early chapters.* Less than two days ago every piece of electronics in the world stopped working for more than two hours. The death toll was immense. Hospital equipment failed, cars stopped in the middle of the street, planes fell from the sky, and homework was lost at the worst possible moment. We found out that it was just the flicker and hum of The System warming up. Now we see the true cost of our new world. A Dark comedy that focuses on a few of the many people who aren't stuck in a high level dungeon when our world is translated and joined to Our Shattered Realms. This is my first story that I have published. I welcome any criticism that you have for me. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!

Unto Dark
A man of cripplingly ill mind, bridled with the spirits and regrets of the past. Wade Pierce trudges through each day of his monochrome existence, only as penance for his sins. Such a man is abruptly decamped of this world courtesy of unapologetic forces, left stranded in a realm filled with unknowns. Armed only with his potent yet fragile intellect, Wade advances into this new abyss, as he attempts to rewrite the wrongs he has committed. Plagued by vile beasts, self-righteous Gods, and even his own seething darkness, the cracks in his mind begin to spread and a dangerous, newfound power bubbles beneath the surface. As the world grows darker day by day, this unfortunate journey begins ------------ I suppose rectitude dictates that I should state any themes worthy of noting here. First of all, this story is not a sunshiny one in the slightest. Since it is listed under the psychological and mature tag and not the comedy tag, that shouldn't be a surprise. Next, morbidity is a factor and general apathy towards human life. All of these are common themes amongst other writers, so nothing new there. The story also contains consensual, and non-consensual sexual activity, although I have tried to be as tasteful as is possible for someone like myself. Finally, the pace is drawn-out, and the language is magniloquent at times. Not to mention, the chapters are quite lengthy. Don't expect to read this halfheartedly... Other than that, enjoy the story... There's nothing more important than that...
