《Elegance | Harry Potter》Year 6-10 | Burrow (2)

I woke up in Harry's arms, we didn't let go of each other while sleeping. I didn't want to get up, just wanted to stay in his arms for as long as possible. It was peaceful, nothing to worry about.
"Good morning," Harry whispered kissing my forehead. I noticed an awful amount of silence in the room. Usually, Ron's snoring is so loud that I could hear it from outside the room.
"What time is it?" I whispered sitting up.
"Like eight in the morning," He replied sitting up beside me. The bed we were laying on was small, barely having space for the both of us. I didn't mind though, just another excuse to be close to him. Although, if it was eight, Ron would not be awake right now. I looked over at Ron's bed to see it was empty, no blankets. Odd, he never usually wakes up early or take his blanket downstairs.
"Where's Ron?" I asked getting out of bed.
"I don't know, haven't seen him,"
"Weird, it's awfully quiet too,"
"I suppose so,"
"I'll meet you downstairs," I said heading out the room. My room was also empty, no one was inside. Usually the Weasley twins would be going crazy and pulling pranks on Ginny but it was so quiet.
"Mornin' Evelyn," Fred came over winking at me with a mischievous smile. Was I being pranked right now?
"How was last night?" George walked over asking.
"I'm sorry what?"
"Don't worry about it," The twins replied in unison. I quickly walked away and towards the livingroom feeling anxious, I was definitely being pranked.
As soon as I entered the living room, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny's eyes shot up looking at me. Ginny looked rather sad and sort of angry at me. She quickly got up brushing past me storming out the room. Ron was laying on the couch with his blanket, he slept downstairs.
"What's going on?" I asked sitting down on the couch.
"Ron's been telling everyone that he saw you snogging Harry," Hermione said holding in a laugh. Of course, he saw us snogging last night before bed. I'm guessing he didn't stay for too long, at least hopefully.
"Seriously? You've been snogging Lavender for three months, what's the big deal?" I said furrowing my eyebrows at him. Anyway, was that what Ginny was so upset about too?
"Yeh and that's because she and I are dating," He muttered narrowing his eyes.
"How do you not... know?" I replied trying to hold in a laughter.
"They've been snogging each other for a bit longer than you and Lavender," Hermione muttered walking out of the room. She's been avoiding Ron ever since his first Quidditch game, I don't blame her though.
"What's up with her? And why did neither of you tell me? My future sister-in-law and my best friend!"
I didn't reply and just headed out of the room and towards the dining room. Everyone was gathered around already, the Weasley twins were still giving me a mischievous smile. Ginny didn't even look at me when I first entered, I guess in her eyes, I'm like Lavender. I understand though, I never liked it when Cho kissed Harry.

"Good morning," I said sitting down beside Fleur.
"Morning," She replied. Bill was sitting rather far from her, probably because Mrs. Weasley does not approve of their relationship at all.
"Good morning," Harry said walking inside and sitting down beside me. Everyone stopped what they were doing and eyed Harry and I. I made sure to not look at Harry at all feeling embarrassed.
"What's going on?" Harry whispered.
"They know,"
"Oh,"
"Well er... I heard you all saw the weird sisters perform live at the Yule Ball, how was it?" Tonks asked clearing her throat slightly breaking the silence.
"I'm not a big fan of the Weird Sisters," Fleur replied. Ginny's eyes widened and I'm sure her hatred for Fleur grew even more when she said she didn't like her favorite band.
"Oh? Then who do you like? Celestina Warbeck?"
"Oh, Merlin no. I do not like her music at all," Fleur said laughing but no one joined in. Everyone knew Celestina was Mrs Weasley's favorite singer. The room fell into complete silence and no one spoke, only the sounds of silverware were heard.
~***~
The rest of the day Harry and I tried to stay away from each other because of the constant mischievous looks from the twins. Not to forget, Ron would look at us with disgust, terrified for some strange reason. He looked at us the same way he looked at Ginny snogging Dean.
I walked out of the living room closing my book to see Tonks and Professor Lupin getting ready to leave the burrow. It made sense why, the full moon was nearing. If he stayed any longer, he would transform.
"Professor Lupin," I called out just as he stepped out the door, "You're leaving already?"
"I'm afraid so Evelyn, don't want to ruin Christmas. Chocolate?" He said handing me another bar of chocolate. I didn't take the chocolate this time, I was deeply saddened. I didn't get to spend much time with him though he was the one who allowed me to really let out my feelings.
"We'll meet again, don't you worry. Remember, it's times like this where you need someone to rely on," He said placing a hand on my shoulder with a smile.
His smile quickly faded looking behind me and at the reeds surrounding the burrows. I turned around to see what he was looking at, nothing was there except the tall grass. The slight rustling of the grass gave off a strangely eerie vibe.
"Sweetie?" Tonks said placing a hand on his shoulders looking out into the tall grass.
Suddenly, a large ball of fire came from the sky making a large roaring noise. Once the ball hit the ground, it circled around the burrow creating a wall of fire.
Followed by the fire, a black cloud of mist came from the sky taking the form of Bellatrix Lestrange. Professor Lupin stood in between her and I drawing out his wand as so did I. Instead of fighting however, Bellatrix ran away into the reeds past a small gap in the fire. From behind me, Harry shoved me out of the way running towards her. It was a trap, she was luring Harry out of the safe house.

"HARRY NO!" I yelled out trying to grab his arm but failing. Professor Lupin chased after Harry but the small gap in the fire closed up roaring. Tonks and Professor Lupin were trying to control the fire keeping the small gap open. Though unstable, if I timed it right and got extremely lucky, I would make it past.
The only thing I was worried about was Harry. The death eaters got exactly what they wanted, him to leave the safe house that was guarded by protection charms. I took a deep breath and made a run for it running straight into the small gap.
"EVELYN!" Professor Lupin called out from behind me. I didn't stop, I only kept running into the tall grass. I was terrified, if something- anything happens Harry, I'm not sure if I'd be able to stay sane. While running through the fire, my arm got burnt. I wasn't even wearing shoes and occasionally I stepped on tiny stones. I didn't even feel the pain, the adrenaline rush covered it all.
"I KILLED SIRIUS BLACK! I KILLED SIRIUS BLACK! You come and get me! Can you come and get me?!" I chased after Bellatrix's voice mocking Harry. Since Harry only wanted to avenge the death of Sirius Black, he'd be chasing after the voice too.
I continued to run until I saw a black figure walk past in front through the tall grass. I was in the middle of somewhere, in some sort of shallow puddle in the middle of the reeds. My feet were stinging with all the cuts and my arm was burning, but the pain was ignorable. Bellatrix's mocking voice and cackles were no longer able to be heard. The sound of footsteps approached me slowly as I drew out my wand ready to attack.
"Harry?" I called out feeling my body tense up. A tall figure started to walk out, definitely not Harry, he was extremely tall. The figure walked closer revealing a man, Fenrir Greyback. Of course, out of all the death eaters, the child predator is the one to face me.
I stayed calm raising my wand quickly though he was faster. With only a mere flick, my wand went flying out of my hand. He started walking towards me slowly, I don't know what I'm supposed to do right now, wandless.
"Stupefy!" Harry casted pointing his wand at Fenrir running up behind me though Fenrir was quick to block the spell. Harry stood in between Fenrir and I with his wand out ready to attack at any given moment. Beside Fenrir's feet was my wand, I need to get to it.
Fenrir didn't attack, instead flew away in the form of the black clouds. I took the chance and grabbed my wand again. Around us were many different footsteps and the moving of the tall reeds. There were at least 3- if not more- death eaters around us. We backed away from the reeds until we got on a small island in the middle of the shallow puddle.
"HARRY!!" Professor Lupin called out from a distance though it was unclear from where. Silence followed an no other sounds could be heard.
Out of nowhere, a spell came from the reeds cutting my arm causing me to yell out. Harry quickly turned to the direction where the spell had came from but couldn't find anything. Another spell was shot from another direction, then another, and another. Aware that we were surrounded, we were able to deflect the spells off.
We stood back to back protecting ourselves from the spells, each time coming from a new direction. From the reeds, Mr. Weasley, Professor Lupin, and Tonks rushed over standing with us with their wands out. Only then, the attacks finally stopped.
One death eater flew up in the form of black clouds followed by the other until all of them, at least I think, followed. Three of the death eaters flew directly at the burrow and complete destroying it while setting it on fire.
"Molly-" Mr. Weasley whispered to himself before running back towards the burrow. We quickly ran after him back towards the burrow, the whole time my feet were stinging and blood was dripping from my arms.
Once we arrived back at the burrow, everyone was safe and outside. The burrow on the other hand caught on fire and was destroyed. Mrs. Weasley was absolutely devastated, her eyes watching her house be burned to the ground were filled with such sadness.
"Evelyn, What were you thinking?!" Harry yelled turning me around by the wrist.
"What?"
"You can't just follow me into danger!"
"Well if you don't want me to follow you then don't run into danger!"
"You could've died-"
"And you could've too! And what if you did? How am I supposed to live without you when the only thing keeping me sane right now is you?" I yelled starting to cry. Everyone was looking at us but that didn't bother me. I feared losing Harry more than death- more than anything.
"I'm sorry-" He whispered pulling me into a hug. I lost it and started to cry into his chest, the pain in my feet and arm were less than the amount of pain I would feel if Harry had died.
It pained me seeing her cry, seeing her bleeding- because of me. The girl I liked- no, loved was in danger because of me. She didn't even hesitate to run after me knowing she was putting herself into danger as well. I know she won't stop putting herself into danger until I am safe. Who else would do that? Willingly put her life above mine at any time. I know this for sure, I love her. And now I need to keep fighting because she's someone worth fighting for.
