《Elegance | Harry Potter》Muggle World

Just as we apparated, a bus came straight at us honking loudly. We backed away flat against the railings, the bus barely missing us. We were in the streets somewhere with muggles everywhere. It was so much more modern than the Wizarding world. Strange gadgets everywhere, weird looking cars.
"Come on," Hermione said walking onto the sidewalk. Harry, Ron, and I didn't ask any questions, just followed her past the busy crowd of muggles.
"Where are we?" Ron asked frantically.
"Shaftesbury Avenue. I used to come to the theater here with Mom and Dad. I don't know why I thought of it. It just popped into my head. This way," Hermione said turning a corner towards a dark alleyway.
"We need to change," she said reaching into her purse. The purse was small, but her whole arm fit into it. She was able to pull out clothes for all of us from that one tiny purse.
"How the ruddy...?" Ron stuttered furrowing his eyebrows.
"Undetectable Extension Charm."
"You're amazing, you are,"
"Always the tone of surprise," Hermione said followed by the sound of something falling inside her purse. "Ah. That'll be the books."
"Where do we go now?" I asked grabbing the clothes Hermione pulled out from her purse.
"I don't know, I thought we could take a quick break somewhere," She replied still searching through her purse for more pieces of clothing.
"What about Grimmauld Place? How far is that from here?"
"Not too far actually."
"Sounds good, I'm just gonna... Get changed," I said walking further down the alley.

We followed Hermione into a strange empty shop and sat down. The colors were so vibrant, just like the Weasley twin's joke shop. You'd never find a shop like this is Hogsmeade. It smelled weirdly of something I've never smelled of, something sweet, almost like butterbeer.
"What about all the people at the wedding?" Harry said as we sat down, "Do you think we should go back?"
"They were after you. We'd put everyone in danger by going back," Ron replied.
"Ron's right. If anything honestly, I think it might be a good idea to disguise ourselves while we search for horcruxes. Polyjuice potion maybe," I said.
"Where on Earth would we find a polyjuice potion?"
"Well actually, I did grab a some from the burrow. It was Professor Lupin's but I brought it... Just in case," Hermione said.
"Coffee?" A girl walked over clearing her throat, loudly chewing on her gum. She was using a strange gadget that was in both her ears playing music.
"Capuchino, please," Hermione said. Capuchino? A what? The waitress looked at us impatiently as if she was waiting for a reply, continuing to chew gum loudly.

"I'll get the same," Harry replied
"Us too," Ron said. The waitress nodded, heading towards the front and into a room.
"If Voldemort has taken over the Ministry, none of the old places in Hogsmeade are safe. Everyone from the wedding will have gone underground, into hiding. We need to move carefully as well," I leaned in closer, talking quieter.
"My rucksack with all my things, I've left it at the Burrow," Harry said. Hermione only looked at him with her purple purse in her hand.
"You're kidding," Harry said just as two men walked in the store.
"I've had all the essentials packed for days, just in case," Hermione said. Harry wasn't paying attention at all, his eyes were glued on the two men that just walked into the store. The two were standing at the counter not doing anything. I noticed one of the guys slowly reaching down into his pocket, pulling out what looked like a wand.
"Down!" Harry yelled pulling me down under the table just as the two men turned around, throwing a spell at us. The spell caused an explosion, throwing Hermione and Ron away from Harry and I.
"Stupefy!" Harry threw a spell at one of the guys over the table. The spell hit him directly, knocking him out. The other guy crouched down behind the counters as well, hiding away from us. Ron shot a spell at the remaining guy, missing by an inch. After his attack, the shop went silent, nothing could be heard.
I peaked carefully over the table and saw the hurdled back behind the counter. I got up, throwing a spell towards his direction just as he stood up throwing a spell at me as well. The spell missed, hitting the wall behind me, and he ducked just before my spell hit him.
"Expulso!" I shouted causing a small explosion behind him.
"Petrificas Totalus!" Hermione yelled standing up, stunning the last remaining guy. Just as he fell to the ground, the waitress walked out of the room she had went in to.
"Go. Leave!" I yelled. The waitress looked at me with wide eyes before walking back into the room she was in.
"Lock the door, get the lights," Harry said walking over towards the stunned man. I cautiously walked behind him while Hermione closed all the blinds and Ron used his deluminator to turn all the lights off.
"This one's name is Rowle. He was on the Astronomy Tower the night Snape killed Dumbledore," Harry said looking at the man he knocked out.
"This is Dolohov. I recognize him from the wanted posters," Ron said walking over to us and looking at the stunned man beside Rowle. He was still conscious, his eyes shifting between Ron Harry. "So, what we gonna do with you, hey? Kill us if it was turned round, wouldn't you?"

"If we kill them, they'll know we were here Ron. We're not murderers," I said, noticing how serious Ron was.
"Suppose he did Mad-Eye. How would you feel then?"
"It's better we wipe their memories," Harry said agreeing with me.
"You're the boss. Hermione..." He walked away from Dolohov and towards Hermione, wiping a trickle of blood off her cheek, "you're the best at spells."
Hermione walked over, drawing her wand. Dolohov's eyes were still moving, still able to hear what we were saying. Hermione looked uneasy, shaking even. "Obliviate."
"Let's get out of here before anyone else decides to join us," I said looking away from the faded eyes of Dolohov.
"Do we just leave them here?" Ron asked furrowing his eyebrows.
"He believes that he causes all the damage and attacked Rowle." Hermione replied taking a deep breath.
"What about the waitress that saw us?"
"She didn't see us using magic. Besides, even if she did, who's gonna believe a story of a couple of teenage kids throwing spells everywhere destroyed her shop?" No one replied, "Let's leave now."
Followed by me, the others followed out into the streets. We walked towards another alley away from all the muggles in order to be able to apparate to Grimmauld place. Everything is so much easier when you're a legal adult.
"How is it they knew we were there?" Harry asked as we walked down a dark alley.
"Maybe you still have the Trace on you?" Ron said furrowing his eyebrows.
"Can't be. Trace breaks at 17. It's wizarding law- oh-" I paused for a second, Harry's 17th birthday passed already.
"What?" Harry said.
"We didn't celebrate your birthday, Harry. Hermione and I, we prepared a cake. We were going to bring it out at the end of the wedding," I said disappointed. It was the first cake I ever made in my life, without magic too even.
"I appreciate the thought, but given the fact that we were almost killed by a couple of Death Eaters a few minutes ago..."
"I just worked really hard."
"We need to get away from view of muggles to apparate," Ron said. We walked deeper into the alley, holding each other's hand and apparated in front of Grimmauld place. Grimmauld place started to show itself just as we got there, as if it knew Harry was here. We were all hesitant to go inside. I drew out my wand and walked inside first, only then did Hermione, Ron, and Harry follow.
Just as we entered, it had a strange eerie vibe to it. A strong rush of cold win hit us from the end of the hallway. The little piles of dust on the carpets start to rise taking shape of a ghostly Dumbledore, rushing towards us. Harry quickly stood in between the ghostly Dumbledore, protecting me just as Hermione let out a scream. It raised it's wand and exploded into mist just in front of our faces.
"What was that all about?" Ron said catching his breath.
"Probably Mad-Eye's idea, in case Snape decided to come snooping," Hermione replied.
"Homenum Revelio." I said, pointing my wand at the empty hallway. Nothing happened, no one was spotted. "We're alone."
"Let's get some sleep, it's getting late," Hermione suggested.
"Let's stick together, just in case something like that happens. Ghost Dumbledore is terrifying," Ron said.
"I agree, just to be safe," I said, walking inside the living room. It was empty and even more dusty than the last time I came here. The dead silence in the place almost made me sad, almost. I would've felt sad, but it just feels like I don't feel any emotions anymore.
"Are you alright?" Harry asked walking up beside me.
"Yeah, where's Hermione and Ron?"
"Finding blankets. What were you thinking about? You just seemed... Kinda lost."
"To be honest with you, I am lost. Last year I promised myself I'd try out for the Gryffindor Quidditch team in my 7th year. Now I'm here, searching for horcruxes. Not that I wish I wasn't here with you right now. It feels like yesterday when you asked me to be your girlfriend, crazy how things have changed."
"I'm sorry I put you through this."
"It's not your fault, I'm just scared for the future."
"We're going to win Ev," He whispered, walking over and hugging me. We looked at each other for a moment, our faces only inches apart. He placed a soft kiss on my lips, then my forehead.
"You think so?"
"I know so."
"I got the blankets," Hermione said, clearing her throat before walking in. We pulled away quickly, just as Ron walked in.
"Seems like there's two couches, how inconvenient," Harry said with a slight smile.
"You can always sleep on the floor," Ron said furrowing his eyebrows.
"How inconvenient would that be Ronald," I replied smiling a bit.
I added Evelyn's signature in the very first chapter, just wanted to show it here as well. I hand wrote this...
Also, sorry for the late update. School is so so so stressful

The Huntsman's Quest (An Urban Magic Quest/RPG)
Jon Whitaker went to summer camp expecting a nice relaxing time as a newly minted counselor in training. He was not expecting to fight an army of monsters, work with a serial killer, enter a one-sided friendship with an eldritch horror, or study under a competing witch and dark lord. But regardless of what he was expecting, his summer is over and he's made his way back home where he can try and return to a normal -for him- life. Too bad life rarely goes as expected. --- Please Note: This is forum quest/RPG I run in the same city/setting as my other stories Hacking Reality and Get Ink'd, meaning that while a majority of the plot is made up by me, the major choices as well as what each chapter is about are usually made by the actual readers in forum votes. Additionally, given how this is essentially a story version of a Tabletop game there is also a background RPG system that while the characters aren't necessarily aware of, the readers can see these stats to know how each chosen 'Action' effects their character's development.

Distant Leaps to Circinus
A dark fantasy story that takes place on a reborn Earth. "With all the planets in the universe, it just had to be this one." Not many thoughts came to mind when scientists said they could provide the Earth with nearly infinite power. Humans could only think about the future, after all: they could travel to the farthest reaches of space, never worry about their electric bills again, and give rise to new and innovative technologies. With such good outcomes on the horizon, there was no way humanity would sit idle; instead, they studied perhaps the most powerful entity in the entire Milky Way. It seemed that, after its appearance decades ago, the strange and unmoving black sphere was something of a godsend. There will always be a reason for these things. With one touch, our very reality was but a grain of sand in an hourglass. In an instant, the Earth was gone - replaced by something… different. More than a century later, Earth’s remains have reformed into a completely different beast - a planet both alive and dead at the same time. Physics that were once understood no longer made sense, giant land masses floated in the sky, and billions of people fought for their very survival. Work, sleep, and play were no more; it was time for the world, Circinus, to reign. The birth of Circinus could only be the beginning. The powerful yet ever-elusive black sphere seemed to watch the world from afar - casting light for those below, but never truly emitting light from itself. What does it all mean for the children of Circinus - children born with eyes that seemed to stare into God’s heart?
