I went up to my bedroom and threw on an outfit (whatever you like) before heading outside to grab my bike. "Bye dad!" I shouted. "Be safe, you know that kids are going missing" he joked. It wasn't funny that kids were dying but it was funny that he would say that considering he's the one doing it. Of course he wouldn't hurt me. I'm his daughter. No-one except me and my dad know. And no I don't eat children. I can eat normal food but I also eat emotions, to some degree. I feel better, stronger even, around people because like my dad I can sense and feed on emotions. But I prefer happiness or laughter. It's easier to get because I can't shape shift and, in my opinion, more filling. It also tastes better. Though father disagrees. I never knew my mother.

I got on my bike and peddled all the way down to the barrens. I saw Richie, Eddie and Stan. I assumed Bill was there as well considering this was his idea. "Not every fucking plant is poisoned ivy" Richie shouted. "Guys, he's right. Not every plant is poisoned ivy." I said "but that is" I said pointed next to Eddie. He squealed and jumped away. Richie and I high-fived before entering the sewer tunnel. "You guys coming in?" Richie asked. "Nuha, that's grey water" Eddie said causing Stan to move slightly further back. "What the hell is grey water?" Richie asked. "It's basically pi-" Eddie started "sewer water" I finished. "Well obviously" Stan said. Before this could go any further, or Richie could splash Eddie, Bill called us all over to see something he'd found. It was a shoe. "Who's is it?" I asked. "Betty Rimpsons" I felt bad. My father has killed her. But something bigger than that. Who the F writes their name in their shoe? Was it written in both? Did sh- my thoughts were interrupted by a large splash.

"Holly shit, what happened to you?" Richie shouted. This, I told myself, was going to be a long day.
