1 Month Later
I've been feeling pretty sick the last couple of mornings, and I don't know why. At first, I thought I was getting a cold, but these symptoms aren't exactly the same.
I told Alek yesterday how I was feeling. Which is why he decided to set up an appointment with our pack doctor for today.
We're currently seated in the doctors office. The doctor, Brandon, came in to start my check up. "Hello Luna, Alpha." He gave us a quick nod. "So you're report says you've been experiencing some morning sickness?" The doctor asked, looking down at his notes.
"Um yes doctor. Just the past couple of mornings or so." I explained. The doctor looked up at me, tilting his head slightly as if in thought.
"Have you two been having some sexual intercourse on a daily basis?" The doctor asked nonchalantly. My cheeks went red instantly.
This is so embarrassing! Alek obviously saw my panic and spoke up for the both us. "Yes, just about everyday." He told him.
Really Alek! You had to say ALL of that? You could've easily just said, 'every now and then.' Just put out there I'm a nasty slut why don't ya! No big deal! I'll be the talk of the pack house. 'Did you hear Luna Marley needs the 'D' EVERY DAY!'
"Well! It's obvious what's happening!" The doctor chuckled, excitedly. He made me lay back on the bed, smearing gel on my belly. "We'll just do a quick sonogram." He mumbled, looking at the screen.
Sonogram? As in like the kind for pregnant people? Well not all sonograms are for pregnancies. Maybe I have something else going on.
"Ah! My guess was correct. Alpha, Luna, you will be having a baby in the next four months!" The doctor clapped for us.

A BABY!? "A BABY!" Alek yelled, looking over at me. "A BABY?!" I yelled back. The doctor looked at us frantically, "I'll leave you two alone." He mumbled, running out of the room, probably on his way to tell everyone.
Alek walked over to me, placing the stick back onto my stomach, still covered in gel. He looked at the screen, looking for our baby, I'm guessing. "Baby." He mumbled. "You're having my baby."
I looked at him worriedly, waiting on his reaction. He wiped the gel off my stomach, before laying his head down on it. "My baby is in here. MY baby. Damn. This is big." Alek mumbled against my stomach. "Alek?"
He looked up at me with a smile on his face. "I love you so much. I can't believe I'm getting to have a baby with you!" He yelled excitedly, picking me up, spinning me around.
He started chanting. "Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby! Having a baby! Baby, baby, baby, having a baby!"
I laughed at his silliness. I was worried how we would handle this. But now that I see how happy he is, I'm happy right there with him.
My phone started ringing in my pocket. Picking it up the caller I.D. read 'TANYAAA'
Me: Hello?
Tanya: So you're just gonna have a baby and not tell me?!
Me: I just found out I swear!
Alek looked at me confused, mouthing, 'who is it?' I mouthed back, 'Tanya.' He nodded, setting me down, placing a kiss on my forehead.
Tanya: I'm sure you did!
Me: Who told you?!
Tanya: Brandon of course!
Me: That doctor and his big mouth.
Tanya: Hey, I have to go, I got a hot date! Just kidding I have laundry to do. I'll call you another time to discuss if we're going to give the baby my first name or middle name, bye!
I laughed. Me: bye!
I can't believe I'm having a baby.

Crimson Astral Cascade
Summary: A vampire-astronaut from a futuristic super-reality, is reborn into a post-apocalyptic fantasy world, and now must make a living for himself and his family as a summonable spirit of the void. The ‘chosen’ son of a vast, multiversal, empire is exiled for the sake of political expediency. Honestly, they might have been trying to execute him, rather than just sending him away, but as it turned out, he survived. He fell into the grand nebula, the sewage line, and the plumbing system for the cosmos. Then he was within the base layer of the collective of mostly-destroyed universes known as the core worlds of Tesson. Now for the sake of his new family and new life, he will have to do his best as a “heroic” Astral, traveling between the myriad fractal-worlds of Tesson that still reside outside of the nebula as means of making a living. TLDR: Who hasn’t played a gacha game by now. But have you ever wondered about what kind of life those characters you’re trying to win have lived and are living? A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.

Miracle Angeliva
Spirits, or what people usually referred to as ghosts, are something that has always been with us since ancient times. Some people are gifted to see them. However, most of us can’t see them without training. And without seeing them, we won’t believe. People only believe what they see, after all. However, I assure you, spirits are real. Spirits are always there. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they are not real. Just like people of ancient ages who can’t see bacteria or those who can’t see stars further than eyes can see, there are limits to our technology. Similarly, even though the current technology can’t prove the existence of supernatural beings, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. In the future, if we can develop technology so everyone can see them just like how a microscope helps us seeing micro beings, I believe everyone will believe it too. That being said, I still can’t prove their existence yet. -Raleigh Von Vlad Update daily (if possible, if not, guaranteed chapters are on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) Thanks to gej302 for the fantastic cover!
