နှစ်ကုန် ခါနီး စာမေးပွဲ လို့ခေါ် သည်။ နှစ်တိုင်း အင်ပါယာ ဆရာများက မေးခွန်းထုတ်ကြသည်။ ထိုစာမေးပွဲဖြေဆိုသည့် ကျောင်းသားများသည် လက်ခံရရှိသည့်အကြောင်းအရာပေါ် မူတည်ပြီး မူကဗျာစပ်ရတာဖြစ်သည်။ ကျောင်းသား (နစ်ယောက်) တစ်ယောက်နဲ့တစ်ယောက် ညွန်ပြတဲ့အရာများကို ဆက်စက်ပြီးကဗျာဖြစ်အောင်လုပ်ရတာဖြစ်သည်။ ကဗျာတစ်ပုဒ် ကိုအကြောင်းအရာတစ်ခု အခြေခံသည်.
နေက်ဆုံးတော့ ကဗျာတွေအားလုံးကိုအင်ပါယာဆရာများအကဲဖြတ်ပြီး အကောင်းဆုံးရွေးချယ်ကာ ဧကရာဇ် ဆီကိုတင်ပြသည်။ ထိပ်ဆုံးကျောင်းသား ၃ ယောက်ကို ဆုချီးမြှင့်သည်။
လင်းဖေးလု အရင်တက်ခဲ့ဖူးသည့်အတန်းချိန်သင်ခန်းစာများထက်ပိုခက်ခဲတယ်ဆိုတာတွေးမိတယ်။

သိသိသာသာလင်းဂျင်းယွမ် လည်း ထိုသို့တွေးမိသည်။ သူ့ခေါင်းသေးသေးလေးထဲမေးခွန်းများအပြည့် ??? ရှိနေသည်။

စာမေးပွဲမှာနေမကောင်းဘူးဟန်ဆောင်ပြီးကျော်ချင်သည်။ နောက်ဆုံးစာမေးပွဲဖြေရမည့်နေ့ လင်းဖေးလု ကြီးကြပ်မှုအောက် ကျောင်းသွားဖို့တုန့်ဆိုင်းနေ၏။
ထိုအချိန် ကျောင်းသားများ စာသင်ခန်းထဲဝင်ရောက်ဖို့မလိုဘူး။ အင်ပါယာဆရာများမတူသည့်ခြံဝန်းထဲ မြေပေါ် ဖြေဆိုမည့်နေရာများချထားသည်။ ဆောင်းတွင်း အေးစက်သော်လည်း နှင်းသိပ်မကျပဲ သဘာဝကျစွာ နှစ်လိုဖွယ်ကဗျာရေးစပ်လို့ ကောင်းမွန်သည့်နေရာဖြစ်နေ၏။
စာသင်ခန်းထဲဝင်ဖို့မလိုတည်းက လင်းဖေးလုလည်းအတူလိုက်လာခဲ့လို့ရသည်။ တော်ဝင်ကလေးများကို တစုတဝေးပထမဆုံး မြင်ရတာဖြစ်သည်။ ကျောင်းသားများ စာမေးပွဲ ကွင်းထဲမဝင်ခင် စကားတပြောပြော ရှိနေသည်။
ရှေးခေတ် စာမေးပွဲဘယ်လိုစစ်သလဲ လင်းဖေးလု တကယ်သိချင်တာကြောင့် တစ်ချက်လာကြည့်ချင်ခဲ့တာ။ စာမေးပွဲ ကွင်းထဲရောက်ခါနီး အသက်ကြီးပိုင်းအင်ပါယာဆရာကသူမကိုတားမြစ်သည်။
ကံကောင်းတာက လင်းချင်းနဲ့ လင်းတန် တို့ရှိနေကြသည်။ အိမ်ရှေ့စံ နဲ့ မင်းသား ၁ တို့အထောက်အပံ့ကြောင့် သူက မင်းသမီး ၅ ဆိုတာ သိလိုက်ပြီး မတားဆီးတော့ ပဲ ထို့အစား စာမေးပွဲကိုမနှောက်ယှက်ပဲ တိတ်တဆိတ်နေဖို့ ပြောလာသည်။
လင်းဖေးလု နာနာခံခံ နေသည်။ဝင်လာတော့ နေရာ၌စာမေးပွဲစားပွဲများရှိ နေ၏။စားပွဲပေါ်လိုအပ်သည့် စာရွက်နဲ့မင်၊ မင်ကျောက် စသည်တို့ရှိနေသည်။ အင်ပါယာဆရာက ကျောင်သားအားလုံးကိုထိုင်ဖို့ပြောလိုက်သည်။
