The following day was busy with so much traffic in the store and the ornaments were flying off the shelves.

"Mom, is it always this way?" I laugh.

"Well, usually not this busy but your brother posted online about the sale of the ornaments so I'm guessing that's why." She said.

"Well, then he should be here to help." I laugh.

"Well, he went with Jace and Noah to help with trees. They are really busy over there." She said.

I saw Justin and Vicky walk in but I got busy and wasn't able to speak to them and then I looked up and Vicky was standing in front of me.

"If people weren't in here I would scream." She giggled grabbing me in a hug.

"Hey, guys! How are you doing?" I smile.

"We are great. Just come to get a few ornaments." Justin said.

"What are you doing back?" Vicky asked.

"My dad had a heart attack so I'm back until the new year to help mom out," I said.

"I bet Jace is glad to see you back," Justin said and Vicky elbowed him.

"I saw him yesterday." I smiled.

"It was good seeing you! Maybe we can catch up while your here." Vicky smiled.

"I'd like that! Let's exchange numbers." I said to her.

I watched them walk off arm in arm and I wished that I had that. I was lost in a daydream when Ben walked in.

"Earth to Willow." He laughed.

"Sorry hey! I was in my own little world for a minute. What's up?" I asked.

"Been helping Jace and Noah over at the lot and I come to see how things are going but I see it's busy. I guess my ad helped." He laughed.

"Yeah, I told mom that you need to be here helping us. But I did get to see Justin and Vicky." I smiled.

A bunch of young giggly girls walked in and was staring at Ben. "Go on and work your magic. I bet you can't get all of them to buy an ornament." I said.

"I bet I can just watch Willow. I still have it." He smirked and walked off.

Every person that walked in the door I was kinda hoping it would be Jace. What did Justin mean when he said he bet Jace was glad I was back?

The rest of the day went by so fast and by the time we closed the shop the shelves were almost empty. "Mom you go on home and check on dad and I'll stay here and get the shelves full for in the morning," I said.

"Are you sure Willow? I can send your brother down here to help you." She said.

"I promise mom it will be ok you go on just lock me in ok?" I said.

"Ok, sweetie but don't stay too long ok? I appreciate all your help and I'm so glad your home." She said walking over wrapping her arms around me with a kiss on the cheek.

She locks me in and I cut the radio on getting busy pricing ornaments. I figure if I price them all and then hang them it will go by faster.

My phone pings and I look down to see who it is.

📱Sis are you still at the shop?

📱Yeah Ben I have a bit more to go then I'll be home.

📱Alright, mom wanted to know.

📱Just let her know. Thanks!

An hour later I was working away when I heard a knock on the door. I wanted to hide but then I remember this isn't California and it's probably Ben.

I walk over to the door and see Jace standing there smiling. I open the door. "Jace you scared me! What are you doing here?"

"I was at your parent's house and your mom said you were over here so I wanted to check on you before I went home." He said.

"Well come in. We got knocked out today with all the sales and I told mom I would work on pricing ornaments and putting them on the shelf while she went home to dad." I said.

"Well then let me help you so that it goes by faster." He grins.

"I won't say no to free help." I smile.

"It's been busy over at the tree lot too. We had to go out to the tree farm and cut trees down that's why Ben didn't make it back to help you guys today and I'm sorry." He said.

"Oh Jace it's ok mom and I took care of it but I have to say I haven't worked this hard in a while." I laugh.

"Surely interior design is hard?" He asked.

"It can be but I don't do it all in one day. Most people are just stubborn and don't see my view on things." I said.

"If you could change this place would you?" He asked pricing ornaments

"Maybe some things. Maybe make it more organized but this is how my mom likes it." I shrug.

"Maybe I need you to take a look at my apartment. It needs help. Noah doesn't care about anything and I don't know how to decorate." He laughed.

"It can't be that bad Jace. If you have money for new items I can look at it for you." I said.

"Ok! It's a date. Umm I mean it's not a date but you know." He nervously laughs.

"I knew what you meant. Let's get these hung up and see if that's enough to do until morning." I said.

I walked over to the pegs where we hang the ornaments and hung them as high as I could. Jace walked up behind me and hung the ones higher.

I could feel him rub up against me and it was distracting but I liked the warmness.

"I think we have enough Jace," I said as I turned around and realized we were almost nose to nose. "Whoa, I'm sorry." I laugh and step back.
