I talked with the other guys and we came up with something. Kyle was a threat. He had a crush on Y/N when they were kids and could get a crush again. Jen though was a different scenario. She wasn’t our top priority, but could become dangerous in case she tried to do something. I would handle the killing of Kyle.

“I thought we agreed on not doing this again…”, Jacob whispered, terror in his eyes.

“We need to”, Juyeon said softly, putting his arm around his shoulders. “He can hurt Y/N and take her away from us. You don’t want that, right?”

Jacob shook his head sadly. Juyeon sighed and hugged him.

“Only the predators will be involved”, I said in an attempt to calm him and the others down.

I looked at Sangyeon, Jacob, Jaehyun, Chanhee, Changmin, Haknyeon and Sunwoo. They were so sweet. I saw all of them as my brothers, people that needed protection. And Y/N...she was precious. One of a kind. She needed all protection possible.

We went to some second hand store a while later together with Y/N’s friends. Her, Jen and Changmin were by some furniture, talking. I saw how Changmin were keeping an eye on Y/N. It was good to send him as the spy, because he was so innocent that Y/N would never suspect a thing. I walked over to Kyle who was standing by some grotesque statues.

“Hey, Younghoon”, he smiled. “Look at this weird statue. I understand that people wanted to get rid of this. I don’t think anyone will buy this again. it was a mistake to buy it from the first time.”

“I need to talk to you”, I said quietly.

He must have seen the seriousness in my eyes, because he nodded and we walked a bit further away from Y/N.

“What is it?”

“Stay away from Y/N.”

“What?”

“You heard me. She has lost a lot. She doesn’t need to lose anyone else.” I didn’t cover up the toxic tone.

“Are you threatening me?”

“No. I’m saving you and your sister. Leave Y/N alone.”

“You don’t decide that.”

“We do. Trust me. Don’t even dare say anything to Y/N, got it?”

“Why? What are you going to do?”

I just smiled and walked away, leaving the dumb boy behind. I walked over to Y/N, Changmin and Jen, standing beside the hamster.

“How did it go?” he whispered quietly.

“I think I got it”, I answered and then raised mh voice slightly. “Y/N, can we go look at the music section?”

“Yes, absolutely.”

I smiled and took her hand, walking away with her. I turned my head back at Kyle, looking at him one last time before putting my arm around Y/N’s shoulders.
