Carl and i were playing darts in his room. It was his turn. Well, he hit something...but it wasn't the board. He hit the door.

Dad, Aaron and Michone walked inside. Carl was still mad at dad for being Negan'sbitch.

Dad "You should come with us, both of you"

Me "And who takes care of my sister?"

Carl "Someone's got to be here for Judith"

Dad "There's people who want to help. We'll only be gone a few days at the most"

I threw the arrow and it hit bulle's eye. Carl glared at me and i smirked at him.

Dad "We need supplies. They're gonna be coming back soon."

Carl snapped "Is this how it's gonna be now?"

Dad nodded "Yes"

Carl sighed.

Dad "It is. You know that"

Me "Well, then see you in a few days"

Carl walked to the door and too the arrows out.

Dad "We should get going"

Dad then walked out and Michone and Aaron followed him.

Carl and i walked downstairs and sat down on the kitchen chairs.

Me "Mich, why didn't you go with dad?"

Michone grabbed her sword "I have to figure some things out. "

She walked to the door. Carl and i stood up and followed her.

Me "And what?"

Michone "How we can do this. If we can"

Carl shook his head "We can't. No, not like this"

Michone "Your dad thinks differently"

I scoffed "That son of a bitch Negan thinks for him"

Michone shook her head "I don't know. Change your bandage later, and be nice to Olivia"

Then she left.

Carl suddenly walked out through the back door.

Me "Carl!"

I ran after him.

Enid was trying to find a way to climb over the wall.

Carl "Enid"

She froze.

Enid "i need to see Maggie. "

Carl "You're walking to Hilltop? It's far. "

Enid started to climb "i'll be fine. "

Carl "Maybe"

She snapped "i'll be fine. i've a better aim than you"

Carl looked down. I glared at her.

Enid "I didn't mean it that way"

Carl shook his head "i'm not saving you anymore"

Enid "That's what happened in the armory? You saved me?"

Carl "yeah"

Enid "you made it back in one piece. You're still here. "

Carl shook his head "i'm not talking about that"

Enid looked down "I'm sorry you had to see it"

Carl "i'm not."

Then she finally climbed over the wall.

i walked to the front gate.

Carl asked confused "Where are you going?"

I smirked and opened one of the cars.

Carl "Ken!"

I turned to him "Get in the car, heartbreaker."

Carl "And where are we driving?"

Me "Saving your girl"

Carl sighed "Ken-"

I shook my head "I can't save my man but i'm not letting you lose your girl. "

Carl hugged me "I love you, sis"

Me "Love you too. Now get in the car before anyone sees us"

Carl got in the car.

I saw Eugene walking to us.

Me "Hey Euge, can you open to gate for us, man?"

He nodded "sure"

He opened the gate and i got in the car. The keys were already there. I started the car and drove out of Alexandria. Then i drove on the highway.

Me "Keep an eye out. She can't be that fast on foot"

Carl "Well, she has a bike"

Me "It's the same thing!"

Carl yelled "watch out!"

Suddenly there was blood on the windshield. I hit the brakes.

I turned around "Damn walkers!"

Carl "It's standing up"

I rolled my eyes and drove backwards. I rammed it against a latern.

Enid walked to the car window and i let it down "What are you doing here? "

Me "We needed fresh air"

I smirked at her.

We were making our way to Hilltop by foot. The car broke down after a couple of miles.

I was walking between Enid and Carl.

Enid "not sorry you saw it?"

Carl "Yeah. I - we watched it. Both times. I didn't look away"

Me "A wonder that we aren't already used to it. Watching the people we love die in front of us"

Enid nodded "Why didn't you look away?"

Carl "Because, when it was happening, i new that i needed to remember it. So when i had the chance to kill him, i wouldn't have a choice"

Enid "i think i'd kill him too. It's messed up, but..That's how it is. You do things for the ones you love. Loved"

Carl "it's not for them. I'm sorry i locked you in the armory. "

Enid "i didn't need to see it. We don't even know if she's okay. "

Me "It's Maggie, she's strong"

Enid nodded "Yeah"

We were hiding in the bushes. There were trucks on the front gate.

Me "are you kidding me?"

Carl "i don't think Negan's here."

Me "He's probably torturing Daryl"

His guys were loading the trucks with stuff.

Enid "You weren't taking a drive. You weren't coming to get me. "

Me "I want Daryl back and Carl, being the brother he is, is helping me"

Carl "Come with us"

I shook my head "Carl, No!"

Carl looked at me "Why not? She wants to kill him too"

Me "Dad's going to have our heads if he finds out that she's with us. We need to act fast and i wouldn't be able to protect her"

Carl "I'm protecting her"

Me "and who's protecting you?"

Enid shook her head "i can't. You said it, Carl. If we kill him. It would be for us. Not for Abraham, not for Glenn. Not for Maggie. You're doing it for you"

Carl "Yeah"

Enid "so if it all goes right...and you dot it....how do you get away?"

She was so close to his face. I smiled.

Carl "It wouldn't matter. "

Enid "it would to me. "

He sighed an put his forehead against hers. Then he kissed her forehead. She looked up and they kissed.

Enid whispered "please don't go. Come with me. You can't make it-"

Carl "i'm just gonna go home"

Enid "You're lying"

Carl shook his head "no, i'm not"

Enid "you shouldn't go but i can't stop you"

Then she slowly walked out of the woods.

Carl "They'll see you"

Enid shook her head "no. They won't"

Then she walked away.

I smirked at him.

Carl blushed "shut up, Ken"

I smiled at him softy "I'm proud of you, bro"

The trucks began to drive away. Carl and i ran behind the last truck and jumped into the open trunk. It was full of boxes. We sat down. Minutes later Jesus jumped inside.

He took a sip of the whiskey.

Me "Good to see you, Jesus"

He looked at us.

Jesus smiled.
