Ah. It was a new day as I woke up. It was February, a time for us to celebrate love and the beauty of Spring.
I got ready, brushed my hair and put in odango buns. I washed my face quickly and went downstairs for my morning delivery rounds.
"Ah, Pucca! Good morning!" said Uncle Dumpling. "Why don't you take a morning stroll? We don't have a lot of orders this morning."
I nodded and smiled. "Thank you, I'll be back soon!" I quickly gave all three of my uncles a hug and said goodbye to Dada and Dandy.
I took a stroll throughout the town, looking at how much has changed. Of course, not a lot has changed, but Sooga Village is not like it was in the old days. A new little street sat along the beach. The buildings there were mostly just for shopping purposes and we even got an import shop!
Ah. I walked along and saw Ching and Abyo. They've been dating for a few months now, and they seem really happy together.
"Pucca!"
Ching quickly ran up and hugged me, I was kind of taken back by the sudden gesture. I hugged her back, now noticing Garu was with them. Oh, he always was handsome.
"Good morning, Ching, Abyo." I greeted them, as we haven't gotten a lot of time to hang out anymore. "Good morning, Garu." I said sweetly, saying it like that didn't make much or any difference at all in his reaction. Why was I expecting so much?
"Morning." He replied. Oh, what a man of few words. He turned away from me, right before I was gonna tackle-kiss him.
"I see you haven't changed, Pucca," laughed Abyo. "Still as lovesick with Garu as ever."

I giggled, knowing how true that was. I guess I haven't really gotten over Garu. Maybe I should give up.. Sure, he's rejected me lots of times, but that's okay. Love takes time to work, right?
.
.
.
There she was. Pucca. Lovesick Pucca. I haven't hung out with Ching, Abyo, and her a lot, but it seemed like she was getting more and more annoying everytime I see her.
And that's saying something.
The next time I see her, and she chases me, I'm putting my foot down. I can't stand her.
We walked her back to Goh-Rong, and I noticed her staring at me.
Ugh. Of course she's staring at me, I thought. She's kind of pretty today.
.
.
.
GAH! WHAT AM I SAYING? Whatever, it's only for today.. Probably just the weather..
I noticed her, she was still staring at me intently. It's like she was reading my mind with those deep chocolate auburn eyes.
We made it to Goh-Rong and dropped off Pucca for her deliveries.
"Bye, Pucca!" said Ching. Those two were like sisters. Inseparable.
"If you have time, maybe you can spar with us later," said Abyo. Great. Now Pucca has an excuse to come close to me. Abyo can be such an idiot sometimes.
"Bye! And, maybe," replied Pucca. She looked at me with that face. She giggled and smiled sweetly to us. I knew what was coming.
Just as we were about to leave, I fell down, realizing Pucca was on top of me.
Why am I blushing!? I thought. This girl is getting on my last nerve.
Then, I felt them. I felt her soft lips kiss my face, as I struggled to get up. I quickly stood up, making her fall onto the ground, but what do I care?
I ran straight to my house, not looking back. I made it and realized she wasn't chasing me.

Phew, close call. I thought. I prepared the yard for the spar match later
I took a quick shower and started practicing, then I thought about her.
Why am I suddenly regretting pushing her?

I finally finished Chapter 1! What do you guys think? Also, sorry if the Garu part sucks, I've never narrated a guys POV before!! Is Garu finally catching feelings for Pucca? Or is he just imagining things?
Hope you guys stay safe during quarantine, and don't forget to wash your hands and social distance!
