《Sang Insane | ✔》Chapter Fourteen

"Ms.Sorenson, you may get married today," Mr. Blackbourne starts.
I am pretty sure he said something after that, but I was too busy having selective hearing.
"Yes! Yes, yes, yes!" I chanted.
Me and my love will be together forever! I do my happy dance until strong arms still me.
"If, if you answer any and all of our questions, you may marry your frozen dessert."
Shouts broke out at this.
What is it with these boys and shouting?!
"Sarah, deal or no deal?"
Sarah mulls it over before answering, "No deal. Looks like we have to just eat the slushy."
I pout before Sarah explains, "We can't have them asking questions about us. You yourself barely understand."
Star cheers me up saying, "At least we still get to drink the slushy!"
I smile and drink the rest of my pink lemonade slushy.
"The wedding is off! The groom got killed."
The boys look at me aghast.
What? Is there a rule that says you can't kill someone until after you eat them?
Wait!
There is!
I pout.
Now I can't be a black widow!
Oh, well.
I toss my drink behind me not bothering to aim or see where it landed. I knew that Star would help me with my aim.
Paprika looks impressed with my aim so I take a dramatic bow.
"What we gonna do now?" I ask excitedly. These boys are so much fun!
I am glad that I don't have to go back home yet, but I know that the second I do, Master will kill me.
Good thing I have my funeral planned already.
Now I just need to find someone that I can give my will to without weirding them out...
Victor declares, "It is half past five; I am making dinner. Who is helping?"
Silence is heard throughout the room.
I think I hear a cricket chirp.
I tentatively ask, "Am I allowed to help cook again?"
Victor smiles causing his fire eyes to burn brighter. He nods his head.
"Of course you can, Sang! I probably couldn't stop you if you want to."
Definitely.
He meant definitely. He definitely can't stop me if I want to.
The noise in the room resumes.
"I'll help, Victor!" Luke shouts.
"Oy! Don't ****ing forget about me!" Gabriel adds.
Silas says, "I have been wanting to work on my cooking."
"I can make the coffee and drinks!" Marc declares.
"No," Kota says firmly. "You guys should have volunteered when he was asking. Sang and Victor will cook."
I look at Victor and see that he is relieved for some reason.
Meh. Probably not a big deal.
"Come on Princess," Victor says happily.
"Princess?! Where?!"
I look around excitedly.
I have been trying to find earth's princess for years!

I need to find someone from the ruling family of earth so I can discuss with them tradings between Triopolis and earth.
Laughter rings through the room from everyone. Even Mr.Blackbourne is chuckling slightly!
"What sort of sick joke is this?" I demand using my scary voice again.
You don't get someone's hopes up like that just to laugh at them!
I am livid. White, icy fury fills me.
Victor quickly apologizes, "Sang, I am sorry. I was calling you Princess."
Me?
Oh, Victor is confused.
Poor guy.
He doesn't know that I am the queen of the most powerful planet in the multiverse.
Talk about socially inept.
Instantly, my fury turns to happiness.
"That's okay, Victor! Ready to cook?" I smile at him.
Victor beams and takes my breath away. He looks like a prince.
Wait.
Victor is the prince?
Huh.
Did not see that coming.
But if he is the prince, why doesn't he recognize me? Maybe his parents handle the royal business... I'll talk with them as soon as possible about a trade agreement.
My planet needs more slaves after all.
.
.
.
Just kidding!
Earth has this strangely addicting dark drink called coffee that my planet can't grow because the wildlife will always eat the plants before the beans can grow.
I walk with Victor into the kitchen and am in awe once again. I love their kitchen and now professional it is.
Victor looks at me and asks, "Do you have any ideas about what you want to cook, Princess?"
I smile and answer, "Yes I do, Prince. I have always wanted to try lasagna. I have cooked it for Master, Marie, and Father before, but I wasn't allowed to eat. I normally aren't allowed to eat."
Victor's burning eyes burn brighter with fury, but he relaxes slowly.
"Of course we can make lasagna. Let's get started so it doesn't take too long."
I nod, knowing how long it takes.
Soon we are working away.
I get that I am faster than the normal person, but seriously, how slow can someone cook?
Maybe it has to do with the fact that he is a prince. He probably doesn't do much cooking.
Aw. He is spending time doing something that he is awful at to help out. Victor is such a sweet prince!

Marc's POV
I guess I should've been annoyed that Victor stole Sang from us, but it was fair. I just can't wait for my turn alone time with Sang.
I watched as the others played a racing game. There are only eight people allowed to play at a time so I was waiting my turn. Because there are fourteen of us, and eight controllers the two winners get to play another turn unless there are people who don't want to play, but the principle stays the same.

I watched them interact.
Normally, I would be messing around and talking with them, but I was a little preoccupied with my thoughts.
The same thoughts that were captured by Sang.
I can't believe what a difference she had made in our lives already.
Everyone was getting along seamlessly like the team we are supposed to be. North has been smiling. Silas is more relaxed now that he has proof that not all tiny people are scared of him. Mr.Blackbourne was actually chuckling. Chuckling! So you know how out of place that is?!
What is the cause of all this? Sang Sorenson.
She kept us on our toes. She intrigued us. She made us laugh all day. She was kind and innocent despite her horrible upbringing.
I didn't know much about her home life, none of us did, but I already wanted to kill her family. Multiple times.
They better pray that they haven't done anything worse to my little coffee bean.
Sang was my coffee bean.
She was perfect, tiny, gives energy and life to our lives, and without her we just aren't the same.
I raked my hand through my soft brown hair and watch as the boys play.
It was entertaining to watch them because they are so animated and into it.
A delicious smell broke through my thoughts.
I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply.
It smelled Italian and heavenly.
When I open my eyes, the group was transformed.
Everyone was alert and sniffing, the video game completely forgotten and tossed to the side. They had a new priority, after all. We all looked at each other bewildered.
Someone was clearly summoning us via smell.
We follow our noises into the kitchen and were greeted by the most heavenly sight other than coffee or Sang.
Homemade lasagna.

Sean's POV
I think I am in heaven.
My beautiful Pumpkin can cook!
I had, sadly, given up on the nickname Pookie. As hot as Sang was taking was me down, it did hurt and I don't fancy getting my *** handed to me again.
Also, I was pretty sure that she would follow through on her death threat.
We all quickly set the table for dinner. I placed napkins out and realized our table only had fourteen spots available. I looked up at the others and noticed that we had all realized the same problem.
Silas quickly said, "Sang will sit on my lap."
We exchanged glances and agreed. We would definitely be okay with it if it was us after all.
I wished it were me with her on my lap.
"Owen, how long is Sang staying with us?" I asked realizing that I had no clue.
"Indefinitely. Kota will set up a schedule for who gets Sang in his lap."
I smiled. Owen had followed my thinking perfectly. He was probably thinking the same thing.

Mr.Blackbourne's POV
I know my brothers were shocked with how informal I was being, but they need to keep in mind that I am only twenty and their brother, not their father.
Plus, I don't think Sang likes formality. I could see that instantly when she messed my hair up upon meeting me.
I knew that we couldn't let Sang go back to that awful place. Not only was she horribly mistreated, but I also wanted to keep her for as long as possible.
I never thought that someone could get me to lighten up and lose the formality, but Sang has already gotten me to lighten up and we have only known each other for a couple of days.
Besides, if today was any indication, we all look forward to seeing Sang. When we didn't, we were all upset. Some his it better than others, but I could tell that everyone missed Sang. Now we are even closer to her.
Maybe it was a mistake to allow her to stay with us. If she left us now, we would be devastated. But it is too late now.
Our only option is to grow so close to her that Sang does not want to leave us.
***
Sang's POV
I dish up dinner as Victor goes to make sure the boys were fine.
Okay.
Fine.
I may or may not have kicked him out of the kitchen.
I put the fourteen plates onto a metal cart with a bamboo cutting board on top and pushed it into the dining room. I set a plate out in front of everyone and head back to the kitchen to eat my food without disturbing them.
I pick up my fork and am about to eat my food when Silas walks in and comes up to me.
"Is there a problem? Is your food okay? Did I ruin your dinner? Are you allergic to anything there?" I ramble concerned as to why he needed me.
"There is a problem, " Silas said solemnly making my stomach and heart sink. "Aggele mou is not eating with me."
What?
"I can't eat with you guys. Dinner is reserved for family."
I was confused. I have always eaten dinner by myself. Why would they want to spend dinner with me?
"Sang, we have only known each other for a short time, but you are our family. Please come eat with us."
I am bewildered and blown away by his words.
Silas smiles and continues, "Please come with me. You will be sitting my lap since we only have so many chairs, but you can eat with your family."
I throw myself forward and hug him tightly.
After hugging him, I pull back and grab my plate.
I follow Silas into the dining room and sit on his lap. I look around the table.
I finally get to eat dinner with my family.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
