《The Wedding In Miami》Not prettier than you

"Oh, for God's sake, I didn't come here to climb what feels like mountains," Zoey panted, sitting down in her spot while Landon sat beside her.
"Nick, seriously," I too was out of breath and squatted down, "Let's just take a break," I said while facepalming.
"But we're almost at the top," he huffed.
We were climbing a roller coaster. It was fucking huge and very steep and if we fell there was a high chance we weren't ever getting up again.
"Nick, if we don't take a break, we won't get to the top," Landon huffed while fanning himself with his hat.
"Fine," he sighed in defeat while sitting with us.
"How high is this thing?" Zoey asked.
"You don't wanna know," Nick laughed while lying down, resting his head in my lap.
"The sun's about to set, Nick. How are we getting back to the hotel?" I questioned, pushing his hair out of his face.
"We'll be out of here after sunset," he answered while sitting back up and chugging on the water that I was smart enough to bring. I only brought two bottles and Landon and Zoey took one which they already finished.
"Give that to me," I held my hand out. He placed the bottle in my hand and I finished the last of it. After sitting around for almost thirty minutes, we continued walking.
We finally got to the top almost five minutes later as the sun began setting. "Oh, we did it, we made it," I let out ragged breaths while tossing my bag down while Zoey and Landon sat down immediately. Nick sat down too while I sat between his legs, resting my back against his chest.
We'd pretty much already seen the rest of the park, or what was left of it anyway.
"The sunset looks so pretty from up here," I laughed as Landon and Zo began talking amongst themselves.
"Not prettier than you," he smirked. I turned to face him as he pulled me into a kiss. After pulling away, we all just sat there and watched the sunset.
"Nick," I sighed, "I don't think I can move my legs," I complained.
"I'm sorry," he chuckled while kissing the side of my head.

I do not recommend doing this, but I can't deny that it's probably the most fun I've had in my entire life.
Throughout the day, we walked through this entire place, snapping multiple pictures, lounging around it multiple spots, wondering what this place was like when it still ran, Nick and I stealing multiple kisses. We stayed there for a long time. Long enough for the sky to go fairly dark.
"We should get going," Nick patted my thigh before lifting his hand off the spot where it was resting.
"How are we getting down? Emma's the only one with a flashlight?" Zoey asked as we all stood up cautiously.
"You have your phone, don't you? Use it," I shrugged while taking the flashlight out. I think if I took my phone out, I would drop it. The other three used the flashlights of their phone as we extremely carefully crawled our way down, grabbing the bars, sliding over them, under them, at less steep and more flat parts, walking over them.
Luckily, the roller coaster didn't have loops or anything too dangerous. It was fairly simple. It went up and then dropped down, looping around and going again. We couldn't take a break while getting down because it meant getting a lot of bug bites and having to walk the rest of this in pitch darkness since their phones were losing battery.
"Watch your step," Nick said.
I froze when I heard voices. "Nick, wait," I said softly but he kept going. "Nick just hold on. Wait!" I whisper-yelled while turning my flashlight off and crouching down. The others mirrored my actions and we froze while looking at the entrance. "Are those cops?" I asked, my heart now racing.
"I don't think it's cops. Security maybe?" Nick whispered.
"What the fuck do we do?" Zoey asked.
"We have to get out of here," Landon added.
"We keep going," Nick said nonchalantly while standing up.
I grabbed his shirt, pulling him back down. "Are you insane? If they catch us we are definitely going to jail. This is trespassing as well as breaking and entering," I explained.
"Then we escape. Make a run for it. Look, we have to get out, it's now or never," he shrugged.

"Nick, if we turn our lights on, they'll see us," Landon sighed.
"I doubt it," he said while glancing at them. We followed his gaze and they were just sitting in their car, talking. "That's some lousy security if you ask me," he said while standing up, turning his light on and walking.
"You can't tell me they have someone come here and keep watch every night," I mumbled while minding my step, skipping the gap that was missing due to four bars being gone.
"There's talk about building something else here, maybe till then," he shrugged.
We were all walking in silence until Zoey screamed, her foot falling straight through the bar. I turned around and clamped my hand over her mouth. "Shut up!" I whisper-yelled.
"Emma watch your-" Nick began but it was too late. My foot was also through two bars. I didn't scream like her but I did gasp fairly loudly. We were quite literally hanging off a roller coaster.
"Jump," Landon shrugged.
"What?" I looked at him like he was insane, which clearly, he was.
"It's not that high anymore, it can't be higher than the slides," he said while looking down.
"I am not jumping!" Zoey shrieked.
"Scream one more time and I will kill you myself," I glared at her. I looked down while hanging onto the bar, slowly going lower and lower till I was holding on with just my hands. "It seems higher than the slides, Landon. Are you sure?" I said while looking up at him, my hands cramping. I can't hold on for too long. I'll fall.
"I'm not jumping, pull me up!" Zoey screamed.
"Hey!" One of the security guards shone a light on us.
"Oh, my God we're going to jail," I mumbled while Landon began pulling Zoey up and Nick began pulling me up. "Nick, let go," I looked up at him.
"Are you crazy?" he yelled.
"It's not that high, I can take it, let me go," I nodded while security began running to the roller coaster and climbing the bars. "Nick, you don't have time, let go!" I shouted.
"Shit," he hissed before listening to me and letting my arms go.
"Fuck it," I mumbled before letting go of the bar and falling through, steadying my landing on my hands, knees, and feet. That hurt like a bitch but still less than I thought it would. "You can make it!" I yelled while looking up at them.
Landon jumped down, catching Zoey who followed. Nick was about to jump but security was too close to him. He slipped his hand into his back pocket and threw the keys at me. "I'll meet you in the car!" he screamed, before turning around and crawling down the rest of the bars.
"Shit, shit, shit," I mumbled while running Landon and Zoey following. Landon jumped the gate, helping Zoey. I looked at them, the car that was so close and back at Nick who was reaching the floor with security hot on his heels. I took my bag off and threw it over the gate. Landon grabbed it and looked at me. "Go!" I screamed, tossing him the keys.
"Emma, wait!" he yelled after me while I ran back to get Nick.
This is how I die. In an abandoned Six Flags.
"What are you doing?!" Nick yelled while running over to me.
"Waiting," I huffed while he made it to me. Security was close. Too close. I looked around for something that could block their way and found a chair. A random chair just sitting by the gate.
How do I use a fucking chair for this?
Something in the background made a loud clash and security turned around, all of us jumping at the loud bang. The first half of a slide we went on, just collapsed. While security looked there, thinking someone else was there, I grabbed the chair and got on it, pulling myself up and hopping the gate. "Nick, go!" I screamed.
He got on the chair, kicking it back before hopping off. We ran to the car that Landon had already started.
"Oh, my fucking God!" I yelled when Landon tried starting the car but it wouldn't go. Security got in their car when ours started. Landon hit the wheel, driving us out of there, cutting through a narrower path and getting us out of there.
"There is no way that just happened," Zoey panted.
"You are crazy!" I turned to Nick, slapping his cheek harder than I intended.
"Ow!" he screamed.
"Why didn't you let me go earlier?" I pushed him harshly.
"Why did you wait?" he yelled back.
"I waited for you, you idiot!"

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
