Oh no!! It was the same girl who slapped me earlier. What's wrong with the girl??

She created so much fuss and slapped me because I kissed her by mistake. And now?? She could have been...

Shit!! I should not think like that. It didn't happen... Thank God!! She is safe.

But I was annoyed as she spoilt my plans twice today. The whole plan to spend time with Myra was wasted.

She was still holding my shirt in her small fist.

Just then I saw Roohi coming with Vihan. Vihan asked me what happened and I told them whatever I knew and turned to go back to the party but I saw Myra standing there with an annoyed expression on her face.

Oh, God!!

I went to her but before I could say anything, she turned on her heels and went back to the party.

Ufff!! Now, I would have to spend all the time I am left here getting her back to normal.

Anyway, I had no option, but to follow her. I caught her hand just before she could go inside.

" Myra, wait!! Happy new year. Please listen to me. "

" Happy new year... You told me that you wanted me next to you around twelve but you forgot about it?? How could you forget about me like that? "

" I didn't, I had gone out to find Mahi as I could not see her and when I found her, she told me that some men were trying to kidnap a girl while she was unconscious. How could I let that ?? "

" Yeah, of course... But I was alone too. "

"Sweetheart... I am sorry. But I could not let a crime happen While I enjoyed a party. " I explained.

" Hmmm... Let it be. Let's go inside. The party is still going on." She said.

" Spend some time with me. I have to discuss so many things with you.

" Like right now?? Please Manik, don't spoil the fun. Let's go inside. It's New year already, let's enjoy. We are meeting the day after tomorrow. " She said walking inside.

" Myra... Wait!! I have to do a lot of things this week. Just fifteen minutes. " I said.

" Later on if sujal or Viren finds out I am not at the party they would shout at me. I don't want to spoil the first day of the year. As it is that stupid girl had spoilt it earlier. " She said and went inside.

Everyone was enjoying the party but me.

The girl who slapped me, spoilt the evening... Stupid girl.

I was upset about something as if something is not right. Why was I here?? But it was good to see everyone enjoying themselves in their own groups.

Since everyone was here, I didn't get a chance to be with Myra alone. But she looked happy in her way. At least her mood was good now. Mihir and Mahi also seemed to enjoy it. I smiled at that.

They all would stay here and enjoy with each other, there would be no major changes in their lives while I would have to leave all this and go to Surat with no social life.

I wish I could spend more time with Myra tomorrow but she was invited to Sujal's place for a new year's celebration.

I thought of asking Sujal if I could come to their place but thought against it. It didn't feel right... They were having a family get-together. I should not go.

It was almost 1 AM when everyone came out of party mode and decided to go home. I looked at Myra as I wanted some moments alone with her so that I could hug and wish her a happy new year. But she was standing with her brothers.

I embraced all my friends and wished them a happy new year. She just looked at me once before turning to go out after a formal good night. I came back home with Mihir and Mahi, hugged both of them and wished them as well and came back to my room.

Mom and Chachi were very excited as they all were together on the new year after year so we all enjoyed ourselves together and had lots of fun.

They teased me that next year, by this time they would have their first daughter-in-law with them.

It irritated me somewhat but I ignored it.

" Why don't you tell me about the girl you are dating?? We can talk to her parents? " Mom said.

" Mom, our relationship has not reached that point, we are dating, in fact, we have gone on only 2 dates. Our third date was cancelled as dadaji expired. So please give me some time. Give us time to understand each other. " I said.

" But you have only one year to get married. At least tell us the name of the girl. " Mom argued.

" Mom, please, don't interfere. Don't spoil the first day of the year with useless arguments. " I said.

" Mihir, you know the girl? Tell me whose daughter is she?? " Mom asked him. He looked at me to ask if it was okay for him to tell but I shook my head, he shrugged.

" Sorry, aunty but I can't betray bhai. He doesn't want to share it till now so I can't as it is, it is not my story to tell. " Mihir said.

" Then tell us your story... What is going on?? When are you going to bring your girlfriend to meet me?? Invite her so that I can meet her before going to the USA. " Mom asked he smiled.

" Aunty, bhai first... " He said, I glared at him and he grinned.

" What's wrong with your bhai?? Why is he so off colour?? " Chachi asked.

" Bhai saved a girl from being kidnapped and raped... So he became the hero but didn't get the chance to meet his heroine because he got busy. " Mihir said.

" What?? Really!! Wow!! We are proud of you. You aren't hurt, are you? " Mom said and even Chachi came to me and started their inspection as if I was five years old. They checked my hand and face for bruises.

" Oh, I am fine. Please don't worry. " I said.

" Mihir, just call all your friends including his heroine, he will get a chance to meet her and his mood would be good. " Chachi said.

" Good idea, mom!! And you and aunty would get a chance to guess who is your would-be daughter-in-law, right?? " He laughed.

" Wrong!! We just wanted both of you to be happy, call your girlfriend too. I would like to meet her. " mom said.

" Ok!! What do you say bhai?? Shall I call my group? " Mihir asked me with a wink.

" Don't bother on my account, she is busy with a family get-together. " I said.

" So what? We all are like an extended family, go and join them, and they would not mind. As it is her brother is your friend, right?? " Chachi said.

Maybe she is right... I can go and meet Sujal just like that. How would I know that they have a party?? I can go...

" Hmmm... It would be weird. " I said.

" Nothing is weird in love... Go bhai go. If you want I can come with you. Are Jindals invited too? " He asked.

" No, they are not. You are not coming with me. " I said, going to my room to get ready.

" Oh, that means you are going?" Mihir grinned.

" Do your work... Concentrate on your relationship... Talk to her before it gets late. Do you know what I am saying?? I don't want you to get hurt. " I said and he became somewhat serious.

" Hmmm... I will talk to her. " He said I patted his back. He went away.

I got ready and reached the Khanna Mansion. I could see a few cars parked there including Viren's car. I went ahead and rang the doorbell. A servant opened the door and smiled at me and invited me inside.

" Can you call Sujal?? " I said. He nodded and went inside just then Ron saw me and came to meet me.

" Hey!! What are you doing here?? " I asked.

" Having a family get-together... Come inside. " He said.

" Oh, no!!! I didn't know about the get-together... So... I was passing by so thought of catching up. I think I must leave. I will come later on. " I said and turned to go.

" Hey, wait... " Ron said and just then sujal also came out.

" Manik?? What happened? Why are you going back? Come in. " I repeated what I said to Ron but they both pulled me inside.

Sneha aunty saw me and smiled at me. Asked me about my parents and then went away.

I went in and saw my beautiful girlfriend. She was shocked to see me...
