Manik's POV

I heard something heavy and metallic falling on the floor. I followed the sound and was shocked to see the scene in front of me.

I could not believe my eyes. This could not be happening.

What the hell!!

Bob was trying to kiss Roshni, while she was trying her level best to keep him at a distance. I was literally rooted to the floor.

She looked very upset and was about to cry.

" Bob! What are you doing?? Leave her! " I shouted from where I was and ran towards them.

He was a bit startled to see me and loosened his grip on her. I pulled her away from him immediately and came to stand between them.

She was trying her level best not to cry but her tears started flowing.

" Are you alright, Roshni?? " I asked and she just could not even speak. She just nodded but her tears were telling a different story. I literally saw red.

" What the hell do you think, you were doing? " I pushed at his chest and asked him with clenched jaw and fist.

" Nothing... " He said.

" I saw you, so don't lie... How dare you touch her?? " I asked.

" What?? You are making a mountain out of a molehill. I was just trying to be friends. Like you are our friend and she is your friend. So ..." He was saying and I wanted to break his teeth.

" Shut up!!! Enough! How dare you touch her?? Apologise to her right now!! " I said firmly.

" Oh!! Why should I?? Even she was enjoying it till now, she got scared because that metal vase fell and you came. Ask her!! She was enjoying my touch till then. " He said with a cheap expression.

I looked at Roshni and she shook her head immediately. And more tears started flowing from her eyes.

I knew that she was not lying. Bob must have done something wrong.

" It's ok, I am here. Don't cry. Tell me what happened?" I said trying to soothe her and she buried her face in my chest and cried like a child. I was shocked to see her like that.

" He is lying... " She managed to say.

" Roshni!! Tell me what happened. "

" No! I don't want to talk about it. " She said her face still hidden in my chest.

" You both seem to be like a couple. Make a pretty picture together. Why pretend?? " He said with a sarcastic smile.

" What?? " I glared at him.

" By the way... Does she know that you have a hot girlfriend in New Delhi?? " He asked.

" What do you mean? " I asked, what was he trying to imply?

" You are having a relationship with her, aren't you?? " He accused me.

" What rubbish are you talking about?"

" Rubbish?? Do you think I was born yesterday?? Aren't you having an affair with her? An extra girlfriend while your main girlfriend is away?? How convenient!!" He started laughing.

" Hell!! No! " I said.

" Look at the way she is standing in your arms. If you both are not in a relationship then why is she staying here alone with you?? She seems to be quite an at ease with you. Then what is the problem if I wanted to taste those juicy lips?? " He said and I punched him very hard.

"Shut up!! Mind your language and apologise right now!! " I yelled at him.

" I will not!! Ask her if she was not enjoying our little game of footsie under the table. " He said and I was shocked again.

She clenched the sleeve of my kurta in her small fist.

" No!! I hated it. " She said looking at me with pleading eyes.

I was sure that she was not the one who was telling lies.

" What is going on here?? " I heard James' voice and saw him coming towards us.

"Nothing, Mr Shah is reacting a way too much to my harmless flirting," Bob said.

" What?? What did you do?? " James asked.

" Nothing much... He is making a mountain out of a molehill. " He explained to his brother casually.

" James, when I came here to look for him he was trying to kiss her forcefully. He was holding her to him while she was struggling to get out of his arms." I explained to him as he seemed to be more sensible of the two.

" What?? No! There must be some misunderstanding. I agree that he is a playboy but he doesn't force himself on girls. I am sure there must have been some misunderstanding may be because of the cultural difference. Or Maybe she encouraged him, unintentionally. Since she is quite young... sometimes they don't know how to react... " James explained.

" No!! There is no misunderstanding. I saw him trying to force himself on her. He even tried to touch her with his feet under the table. " I said to James.

" If she didn't like it, Why did she keep on enjoying it?? She could have objected at that time. You were right there to help her, but she didn't do it as she was enjoying it. In the same way, she was enjoying being in my arms but that vase fell on the floor making a loud sound and she got scared that she might lose your affection if you saw her in my arms. Basically, she is a slut, trying to prove herself as an innocent victim to gain sympathy from you. " He said and I slapped him very hard.

" Mr Shah!! Behave yourself. " Bob shouted.

" First you learn to behave with a girl. Can't you understand that she is not interested?? Is your male ego so fragile that it could not take a rejection? She has been telling you to stop your advances and you are such a cheap man, how could you even think of touching her without her consent?? I would not tolerate that. "

" Manik Ji!! It's ok!! I am fine... Don't fight with them. I am sorry, I ruined your perfect meeting. Please forget all this. I am fine. Going to my room to sleep. " Roshni said.

" No!! He needs to apologise to you. Or I will beat him to a pulp. " I said.

" Manik Ji! Please leave it. Don't spoil your relationship with them. I am fine!! No harm done. Please don't fight with your guests for me. " She said and ran to her room but I knew that she was hurt very badly.

Now I got it, she was tolerating his misbehaviour because she didn't want the meeting to get spoilt. So to avoid it, she said that she wanted to go back to her room earlier while we were having food.

" Manik, I think, we should sit down and talk calmly. There has to be some misunderstanding. Maybe she didn't realise it and gave him some sort of encouragement. You see she seems to be very inexperienced as she is too young. Sometimes... " James was trying to make me calm.

" Keep your philosophy to yourself. I know all that very well, but as you trust your brother, I trust her. She is not lying. " I said firmly.

" Why do you trust her as much as my brother trusts me?? Is she your sister?? " Bob said and smiled sarcastically as if he was mocking me.

" Listen, Bob, I don't need to explain my relationship with her to you. As it is you are too immature to understand it. And James, She might be young, but she is a very decent girl and can't even think of giving any such signs to any man. She is much more sensible than this brother of yours. Please tell your brother to apologise to her and I will be fine. " I said.

" James, let's go from here. And Mr Shah, now if you and your secret girlfriend, don't apologise to me then the deal is cancelled. " Bob said with a raised eyebrow.

" That goes without saying... the deal is already cancelled from our side. I cancelled it the moment you misbehaved with her. I can't work with a man, who can't respect a woman. You may leave now!! I am letting you go just because you are guests in our country and at my place right now. Or I would have beaten you to pulp or called the police by now. " I retorted back immediately.
