Mathew's arms crossed around my body from behind and he nuzzled my neck. "How are you? are you okay?" , he mind-linked me. My wolf groaned in response, she liked the comfort his body provided but wasn't ready to answer.
I took a deep breath and turned into his arms, laying my head across his chest. The warmth of his skin caressing me, his scent enveloping me.
"I am now."
I noticed how our breaths became one. It had been a week since the incident with Ben and my father's dead. Just a few days ago, we had given him a proper funeral, one that every Alpha of the Pack deserved. Also, that night Mathew and I had decided to join our packs officially. I was glad to say all the members were happy and easily got along. It helped knowing we were united and protected by the vast territory of our lands.
"Are you ready for tonight?" He asked and kissed my cheek.
I gave him one last hug before backing away to meet up his eyes. "Yeah. You never showed me the rest of your pack though."
He chuckled and kissed my cheek again. "It would have been too suspicious."
I nodded and stood up in my tip toes, crossed my arms behind his neck and kissed his lips. Our lips moving in sync, our tongues meeting each other and our breaths faltering as the kissed intensified. This was what I needed, this distraction. Him.
He pressed me against his body and I moaned, my wolf wide awake at the sudden heat. I pressed my hands against his chest and pushed him softly away. If we wanted to leave this place we needed to stop.
"We better leave." I whispered on his mouth and he growled.

"I guess so." He placed one of my dark locks behind my ear, before giving me his biggest smile and taking my hand in his.

Later on, Mathew had already given me a tour of everything around the territory that used to be His Pack. He had shown me the main House, his house and everything. He had even introduced me to some of his best warriors. And each and every one of them had sworn loyalty to our pack, and me, The Luna.
It was all beautiful, and the fact that all that people were already becoming part of my family made me feel complete.
"Where are we going?" I asked him laughing. His hands were covering my eyes as we walked through the woods.
I felt nervous and I didn't know why. This actually felt like the first time Mathew and I did something romantic without the pressure of anything. It felt nice and so new, despite everything that we had done before.
"You'll see. Just listen." He whispered and I immediately stopped my giggling. And did what he said. I listened, making sure to concentrate. I closed my eyes and after a few minutes, I noticed what he meant. I could hear water running. I could feel the humidity and the wind hitting my face. "Do you know where we are?"
"Not really, but I feel like I've been here before."
In that moment he stop covering my eyes and I gasped at the sight in front of me. I was right in front of the waterfalls we had visited when we sneaked around. They were beautiful, just like that night. The moonlight reflected in the water and there was a certain peace of the place that made it feel like home.

My eyes teared up. "Mathew, this is beautiful."
He placed a hand on my waist and pulled me closer. "Just like you." I smiled at him and peck his lips. "This is my favorite place now. It's a reminder of everything we've been through and of my love to you, and I wanted you to know that Serena."
I caressed his cheek with love. "I love you Matt." He kissed my palm and said the words back. "Me too."
"Do you feel like swimming for a bit?"
I nodded eagerly, and we both got rid of our clothes. He took my hand in his and we walked to one of the cliffs. I looked down and felt excitement running through my veins.
"Together?"
"Always." He promised and we both jumped into the water, where we spent minutes or even hours enjoying each other's company. Enjoying that for what felt like forever, we were finally this carefree and happy. And as the moon lighted the night, I couldn't be more grateful for what we had.
