I always wondered what death would be like. Would it be quick and easy or would it be painful. It was always an enigma, well to me. I doubt any other normal person would spend their time thinking about death; but maybe because death was more known to me that I was now accustomed to the feeling.
I had read once that death was almost like passing in a blur and I had told Nourie if that'd be the feeling, which to be honest sounded pretty awesome. Instead the women shook her head and said 'Farya, no one has come back from the dead to confirm it'.
Which sadly was true. No one comes back. Once they're gone, they never return. Roshan would have come back if he could, I know he would. For me he would have.
I always prayed he went heaven. I imagined he was somewhere up there, preferably in the beach. So when I found myself stranded in a sea of blue with golden sand around me. I wondered if I had come to heaven.
There was silence around me. Utter silence. Not the kind where it scared you, but the kind that calmed you and reminded you of a higher being out there.
The strong scent of the salty water drifted to my nose and as if my senses had come back to life. I could hear the distant sound of waves crashing and clashing against each other. Warm breeze floated through my hair, as if it grew fingers and were now running through my strands.
Closing my eyes. An overwhelming feeling clawed against my heart as I inhaled sharply. Staring ahead at the empty beach. Nothing but the sun and the sand around me.
" I knew you'd find me"
A deep voice spoke behind me making me tense. I could feel my body stiffening as I glanced to the side seeing a tall young man stand before me. Dressed in a white shirt with cream coloured pants. He folded his arms slowly. His golden hair dancing against the winds as his striking blue eyes glanced me. Laughter in them.
" Roshan" I cried seeing him before me. Without another thought I found myself jumping in to his arms hearing his loud laughter echo around me. The laughter I head yearned to hear all this time.
" Hey cupcake" I heard him speak making me move away a little, smacking his arms. Looking up at him. I realised he was still the very same Roshan yet something about him was different. He was more calm. More at peace.
" Roshan, I've looked everywhere for you" I murmured feeling my throat clog up as he stared down at me. A smile plastered on his face.
" I've not left Farya. I've always been here" He spoke as he glanced around us. His blue eyes reflecting the waves before us.
" Am I dead Roshan?" I suddenly asked as he started walking making me rush towards him. Not wanting him to leave. Not yet.
" No Farya, you still have time left" He grinned yet there was sadness in his eyes as I glanced upwards at him. Wanting to stay with him, here, forever.
There was silence around as we glanced around the beach. Hearing the waves crash against the shores.
" Farya, go back home. It's all there" He suddenly said making me stare at him in confusion, my head tilting to the side.
" I don't want to leave Roshan. I want to stay with you"

I suddenly spoke like a child, reaching towards him. Seeing my brother stand inches away from me yet at the same time he was so far away. It was as though an unnatural force was pulling me back, and no matter how much I tried reaching forward I kept falling back.
I could see his figure become distant with each moment. The more I screamed, the more the world became distant. Roshan's figure was almost like a mirage now, so was the ocean and the sand. Tears blurred my vision as I stared through it seeing his distant figure raise his hand. As if to bid me farewell making my heart drop.
I didn't want to leave Roshan, not after I had just found him.
I could suddenly feel the world around me close in. Darkness filling in each corner. Pulling me back in to oblivion. The one I had tried escaping for so long. I tried screaming, as loud as I could. Wanting anyone to hear me, anything to hear me and pull me out of this darkness. Yet it was as though the world had turned it's ears deaf to my pleas and I was forced to remain in the darkness. The darkness that had eaten Roshan away.
Then it came, it was distant but the darkness was slowly moving. And there was a sound which meant, there was hope.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
I could hear the sound click in the distant. Ringing with each second. I knew I was out of the darkness but I couldn't find the light.
It was as if a boulder was placed on my chest numbing my body making me breath heavily. My world spinning.
" Farya cupcake open your eyes"
A familiar voice murmured as I felt my heart speed up. A warm feeling clawing at my insides. Trying to open my eyes, I felt a surge of adrenaline rush through me yet it was as though my lids had been stitched away and no matter how much I wanted. I couldn't open my eyes.
" Fairy open your eyes" The voice spoke again making me gasp. Only Roshan called me that.
Opening my eyes I was suddenly greeted to the bright lights making my eyes flinch and close tightly. A warm hand suddenly held on to my arm encouragingly making my eyes open again, slowly.
Turning to the side, I felt the world halt for that split second seeing large green eyes glance at me. The familiar spark in them making me choke back a sob.
" N-Nourie"
I cried seeing the woman tilt her head to the side. Her doll like features morphing in a pained one as she glanced back, with tears in her eyes.
" My little fairy" She hiccuped reaching towards my hair as she brushed it backwards. Her warm touch reminding me of home.
Closing my eyes tightly, I leaned in to her touch feeling the woman lean in and hug me.
" Is this a dream?"
I whispered hearing the woman chuckle through the tears. Releasing me from the embrace I found myself glancing around the room.
It was a simple kind of room, with faint lilac walls and white ceiling. There was a small table at the end of the bed with some flowers and cards. To the side I could see the large window overlooking a forest of tree reflecting the machines with some leads plucked to me.
" No babe. It isn't a dream, not this time" The woman murmured as I tried sitting upwards making me hiss and immediately regret my action.

Helping me sit up, I felt Nourie cup my cheeks before her eyes suddenly lit up.
" There's someone to see you Farya" The woman suddenly spoke making me look at her in confusion. I could see the woman stand up as she walked towards the door and open it slowly.
Within moments I could see Deniz walk inside the room with Guliez.
" Farya" Guliez called out running towards me making me gasp. Within moments I was engulfed by the woman as she hugged me tightly.
" Air Guliez" I gasped feeling the woman move back away from me as Nourie patted on her shoulder awkwardly.
" Oops sorry" She spoke moving to the side revealing Deniz who looked as good as ever. Flashing me a pearly smile, I felt my eyes scan around the man's face seeing pain in his eyes as he leaned towards me. Placing a kiss on my cheeks making it heat up.
" Hey" He grinned making me look up at him as he moved back, giving me space to breath.
" How long have I been like this?" I spoke looking upwards at Nourie seeing her give me a sad smile.
" One month. You did yourself some damage. Are you planning on being featured in the next Fast and Furious?" She questioned and it was as though my memories had been given back to the as the night played before me.
The dress. Getting ready for the party. Moustafa leaving and the car crash.
" H-How. The car had turned and there was fire. How am I still alive?" I murmured glancing upwards at Nourie seeing her face flash with pain as she tried giving me a smile making my heart drop.
" Nourie?" I questioned glancing around the quiet room hearing utter silence. A wavering feeling crawled down my spine as I stared at all three of them.
The door handle suddenly turned making my eyes snap upwards. I could feel the world still for that split second seeing a large figure step inside. Glancing upwards, my eyes widened seeing dark grey eyes glance at me. A flash of emotions rolling in them.
Moustafa
Dressed in a black suit with his top shirt buttons undone. The man looked as though he had been through a storm, as his hair remained dishevelled and his stubble now overgrown. Yet through it all he still looked good.
There was silence around us as I could see Nourie, Guliez and Deniz step out of the room. My eyes not missing the little heated look between Deniz and Moustafa.
There was utter silence as Moustafa walked towards me. His eyes trained on me throughout the movement. Holding my breath, I could see the man reach towards a chair as he pulled it in front of the bed, sitting beside me. Only inches apart.
Moustafa was the first one to speak as he stared at me. His gaze never wavering me.
" What you did was reckless. You could have died" He gritted out making me sit upwards. Feeling my breathing hitch.
" Maybe that was what I wanted" I spoke slowly, surprised at my words seeing the man's eyes widen as his face turned furious making me swallow sharply.
" Farya don't" He spoke darkly making me shake my head and look away from the man. The vision of Roshan still in my mind. The way the warm breeze floated through me. I wanted to be there, to be with Roshan.
" Farya?"
"Hmm?"
I hummed looking up at the man seeing his eyes swirl with hundreds of emotions. Standing up, he reached towards a small monitor near the machines as he pressed on it and a few moments passed before I felt my eyes landing on Layla in her work uniform.
" Farya, I'm so glad to see you awake" The woman spoke as she rushed towards me making me smile. Feeling truly happy at seeing the woman.
" You gave us quite a scare" She spoke smiling at me making me nod not knowing what to say. Running a hand through her dress she looked at me seriously before looking towards Moustafa.
" Farya there's something I need to tell you" The woman started making me tense.
" When your car- Moustafa's car- turned. It had caught on fire. There was the safety procedure in the car. The airbags were there to stop any major hits. Your arms were dislocated and your legs having a few cuts but nothing too major however-"
She started as she walked towards me. Following her movements, I stared at the woman reaching towards a mirror near the window before standing in front of me.
" I'm going to lift your dress up" Layla said as I felt my eyes snap towards Moustafa seeing his eyes trained on me.
Layla slowly reached towards my gown as she slowly lifted it upwards. I could feel my eyes suddenly snap towards my ribcage and the side of my stomach now wrapped up with white dressing.
" You have a third degree burn" She spoke and I could feel my stomach drop.It was as though the world around me was spinning as I blinked, unable to register her words. My words now leaving me.
" Luckily there's advanced treatments and you are receiving the best treatment in the country but saying that. There will be scar surrounding the burnt area"
Layla spoke as she gave me an empathetic look. Making me nod at loss for words.
" I know it's a lot to take in. I'll give you some space" She spoke giving us both a smile before she walked out of the room. Closing the door behind her.
There was silence haunting around as I held the mirror glancing at my bruised face. Seeing a purple shade on my cheeks and jaw. My lip now cut and my eyes decorated with a shade of green and maroon.
"Why did you do it Farya?"
Moustafa's deep voice spoke as I felt my eyes closing tightly. Images of Roshan flashing before me. Images of our home, with Nourie and Agha playing in front of me. I missed it. I wanted it all to come back.
" I'm dying Moustafa, everyday" I whispered glancing upwards at him feeling tears rush down my face.
" I want my normal life back, with Roshan and with Nourie. I want to go back to university; but I can't. I'm trapped"
I spoke slowly, my eyes staring ahead at the walls as I felt tears rushing down my face. A heavy silence prolonged in the air and I could feel the man's heated gaze on me yet he didn't do anything. He remained silent.
The man suddenly stood upwards and from the corner of my eyes I could see him reach towards the door just in time for it to open. Revealing Nourie.
