"holy shit--- " both me and Taehyung awed at the party, it was really big. i started sweating and soon became uncomfortable at the stares we both were getting. Taehyung noticed my uneasiness and quickly put his arms around my shoulder, i looked at him
with pleading eyes gesturing to get out of here, he shaked his head and mouthed a 'no'
"we can play overwatch at home, please let's go"
he again shook his head, motherfucker
"come on let me introduce you to my friends" he screamed in my ear because of how loud the music was, i shook my head signaling a 'no' he then nodded his head saying a 'yes'.
i again shook my head and he again nodded, i shrugged my shoulder and began sulking
i knew his friends, they were the popular trio of the school and i didn't want to embarrass myself in front of them, girls were behind them, like seriously not only girls guys were too, but unfortunately they both were taken, Jimin was dating Namjoon, who was the president of the university and Yoongi was dating Hoseok, the infamous tennis player. he kept dragging me but i was pushing myself back, and suddenly out of nowhere
"you came! oh my god, Jungkook you look so good!" I heard Heejin scream while eyeing me up and down, taehyung just kissed her and said i love you's and patted his shoulder and kissing him, i soon noticed Heejin avoiding eye contact-----
"WHAT ARE YOU WEARING? SO SHORT! BETTER TO NOT WEAR ANYTHING ONLY" i screamed at her and she smiled and said
"come on kook, its my birthday. " i kept staring at her dress with an uneasy expression and then slowly nodded, i glared at the guys who were behind her staring at her legs and they all immediately looked away, i then saw a scream i turned towards that direction to see her friend sooyoung, Taehyung signaled me to close my ears and we both did as i still could hear Heejin screaming, after small talks here and there, Heejin finally got to spend time with her friend who would leave soon

"Taehyung-ah, i will talk to you later okay?" taehyung nodded repeatedly as she kissed him and left waving, he then begin walking not forgetting to drag my arm to meet his friends, i gave up on trying not to go, although he didn't look much muscular he was STRONG.
"OY TAEHYUNG" i heard jimin scream and hug Taehyung and Yoongi was staring at me intensely,
taehyung suddenly asked "Where's Namjoon and Hoseok?"
jimin screamed "they will come a bit late" and Taehyung nodded his head
"who is this?" yoongi asked pointing at me to taehyung,
"oh he is heejin's brother and he was wondering if he could hang with us today" taehyung said while fist bumping Yoongi, to which i objected
"NO HE was wondering if I could hang out with you all today all i wanted was to sleep at home but my sister wouldn't let me" i said sulking at the last part, i really wanted to go home, watch netflix and sleep but of course these asses wouldn't let me
I saw Yoongi smiling and said
"i like you, come sit here" i heard Yoongi say, an i gulped and leaped to the seat next to him,
all were staring at me awkwardly and there was a big moment of silence,
.
.
.
i want to leav---
"so what's your name?" SERIOUSLY? after almost scaring me to death for 5 minutes they ask my name?
"its jungkook" i said smiling shyly.
then again there was this moment of silence
.
.
.
"do you want a drink?" i heard suga ask, i quickly nodded. that was the only way to calm the situation and for sure the drunk me would be more interactive,
"4 BOTTLES OF SOJU HERE PLEASE" i heard suga scream
b-bottles?
"Are you sure you can drink that much?" i asked to jungkook who was gulping at the sight of the bottles

"you can just pour in a glass and drink some" jimin said to him politely,
"no i want to drink, its been long, really long" he quickly snatched the bottle and started gulping it, he drank the first half and breathed and then attached his lips back to the bottle,
'Oh shit' i heard myself, jimin and Yoongi whisper, he then screamed out for one more bottle
oh my god, is he trying to die?
"NO jungkook that's enough, really your cheeks are already red" i said to Jungkook and he pushed me slightly
"no" he said and i gulped nodding, one thing was for sure, drunk jungkook was scary, and also really--red.
"i am pretty sure he can control himself, lets drink guys" Yoongi said and i looked at jungkook gulping another bottle and then slowly nodded, i then hesitantly started to drink and smiled at the sensation
"One mORE BOTTle please"
"make that two"
"make that three"
--------------------------------
i sighed with jungkook seeing Jimin and Namjoon making out on the dance floor and yoongi and Hoseok who were 'trying' to sneak into the washroom. Jungkook pointed to Jimin's feet and started laughing, i furrowed my eyebrows and turned to where he was laughing to see jimin on his toes while kissing Namjoon, i soon started laughing too,
jungkook abruptly stood up and took my drink and placed it on the table then dragged me to the dance floor, and screamed let's dance, oh he was really drunk but so was i, i smiled and nodded and soon enough we were in the dance floor.
Jungkook and i started to dance and sway our bodies along with the music and were laughing, we both soon became breathless and put our hands on our knees trying to catch our breaths, i smiled and then asked,
"do you want a drink?" he then nodded and i left to get one, on the way i saw Heejin with Sooyoung dancing and laughing, i smiled at that sight and decided to not interrupt them
i grabbed the drinks and went to find Jungkook, i soon spotted him and i gave him the bottle and we both did cheers and started to drink,
oh lord, i should've agreed on playing overwatch.

On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road. If you enjoy this story, wish to binge it, and/or want to participate in voting immediately, you may of course read all additional content via the link provided above. This paragraph will be removed once the content on Royal Road catches up with what has already been posted in its original thread. Cover artwork by DreamSyndd.

Second Life's Game: Hell
(LitRPG/Fantasy) *** Disclaimer: I changed the title of this fiction because I realised that religious people may be offended by it. This fiction is purely intended to entertain and is not based upon any religion. *** What comes after death? The Afterlife. A world split into three layers. Heaven, Nexus and Hell. The Afterlife is harsh, cruel, and sometimes downright unfair, with everything based upon luck. A world with a game system, which enables the residents to level up, and gain special attributes. A tower lies in the middle of it all, named the Core, which provides passage to God, who will bestow on you your greatest desires. Unfortunately, to get to God, one must conquer 27 stages and battle against others wishing to meet him too. Ikite, a young teenager, gets killed by a gang of criminals and reawakens in Hell with a different body and life. As his two new personalities meld into one, he becomes an 'Awakener', someone who has their previous life's personality sharing their mind. However, he realises he has no combat perks, a bad class and a peasant's life in Hell, the lowest layer. At first, he decides on a hardworking, yet peaceful life with his mother, but bad luck wouldn' leave him alone. Forced to journey where he doesn't want to journey, will he overcome his obstacles, change his perspectives, and climb the tower? The Animo Saga
Before history was well-recorded in the world of Ulakam, primordial animal spirits adopted humans, provided protection and developed deep spiritual connections with them. Millennia later, humans now host animal spirits and are split into tribes named for the species they host. Ulakam is slowly being consumed by a decades-long war pitting the main tribes against the smaller tribes and a group of bandits calling themselves "the resistance". Callida Animo was born into this world. Coming from a mixed family of generational soldiers, Callida joined the family business at a young age. In her words, she was practically bred, born, and raised to be a soldier. And she's good at what she does... which inevitably attracts attention that makes her unambitious self extremely uncomfortable. Love, loss, influence and growth. This is her story. Written episodically, this story focuses on relationships and character growth through a series of mini-arcs that connect to make a greater whole. (Honestly, the story would lend itself well to a TV series.) "Episodes" range from 3-7 chapters (at least so far), and average about 4 or 5 chapters. Author's note: I'm always thrilled to receive comments, follows, ratings/reviews, messages.... All forms of feedback are welcome and encouraged. However, I have no interest in begging readers for more engagement to get better visibility. I tried that with my last story and found the game soul-sucking. So! This constitutes my only self-promotion request. If you are reading this story, let me know what you think! I love engaging with my readers. We'll see if growing the readership organically is even possible. Thank you! 😘 Release schedule: Weekly on Wednesday afternoons
