Head tilted upwards, watching the sky,

searching for truth, freedom, any other lie;

the myriad of stars long dead and gone,

how will they now find the other one?

Feet tangled in the messy rope,

unable to leave the ground and live;

it's too late and way overdue to hope,

now all that is left is the crushing grief.

Separated, torn apart by other force,

star-crossed lovers still reach out

even through the great pain of loss,

not once rightfully giving in to doubt.

Centuries and miles between the two,

blinded by darkness with bursts of light,

all the while remaining to each other true,

only being connected through the night.

Two opposites, not meant to align,

trying to reconnect despite the odds;

all they need to keep going is a simple sign,

since lonely desparate souls is out there lots.
