Dripping like starlight off the Sun
Peppering kisses all over fluttering eyelids
Holding back time until they are done
Night gazes at the staues' marble
Softly perfect as it is uneven
And wishes to remain eternal too
If the children's blessings are given
Antlers grow on trees and rocks
While deer are made of leaves
Harvest gives more life than it takes
Never forgetting what it receives
Swirling clouds graze soft lips
As waterfalls flow into the sky
Making oasis out of amber dreams

I submitted this fiction as a [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] as well as a participant in National Novel Writing Month.
