"Hey kid? Want to come over next Friday to add improvements to your suit?"
Peter looked up from the small robot Mr. Stark had helped him with for the school science fair. "Really? Yeah, I would love too!" he said while grinning.
"Well, you better get back home or else May is going to kill me. I don't need her screaming at me again."
"Bye Mr. Stark!"
Peter ran out of the lab and climbed up to the top level. He activated his web shooters and swung off into the night.
This was what Peter loves about being Spider-Man. The wind blowing against his face, the rush of adrenaline he gets when he swings from building to building, the joy he gets when saving a life. He wouldn't want it any other way. He did a quick patrol before he went home, considering he hadn't done it that night.
Peter was a few blocks from his apartment when Karen spoke up,
'Peter, there seems to be activity near the park lake.'
"Thanks Karen!"
Peter swung off into that direction while asking Karen for any updates. He had just landed on a light pole next to the lake.
"Now!"
Peter turned quickly with the help of his spider sense but it was too late. His limbs went tight and he fell over while fighting unconsciousness. He heard men snicker as they walked away, "At least boss can actually do his work now without that pest in the way."
Peter hit the freezing water with a thud, and he sank. He heard Karen yelling out to him but he didn't answer. He couldn't breath. He knew he was running out of air but he didn't have the strength to move. He wasn't sure what he was hit with but it must've been made to defeat him. Peter felt himself starting to fade.

As he fell into unconsciousness, Peter felt something wrap around his torso and pull up. He heard a familiar sound of thrusters but he just closed his eyes and let himself fade.
'I'm sorry'

Tony had just been putting away a few components of his next Iron Man suit when FRIDAY alerted him that Karen was trying to contact him.
"What's up Karen?"
"Peter was hit with something that I can't identify. He had fallen into the lake and vitals are dropping."
Tony froze. The wrench that was in his hand cluttered to the floor and rang throughout the lab. 'Dammit. I told you to go home kid!'
Tony called his suit and sped off towards the lake in full power. He didn't want to lose Peter.
When Tony got to the lake it was pitch black. He looked over and over but couldn't tell where Peter could've fallen in. That's when a small red light rippled across the water. 'Peter'
Tony dove into the water with a crash and flew down until he saw Peter. His suit was still on which was probably why he was still alive. Karen must've used the emergency oxygen. Tony grabbed Peter under the arms and flew up quickly. When he emerged from the lake he landed on the shore and hopped out and pulled Peter against his chest.
"Karen?"
"He isn't breathing. I'll activate CPR mode."
"Don't you dare die on me Peter. Please. This shouldn't have happened. I TOLD YOU TO GO HOME!"
Tony's body shook with sobbing as he clutched Peter. He could feel the suit contracting in order to get him to breath. Tony tore off Peter's mask and gave breaths to Peter hoping a miracle would happen. Then, out of nowhere Peter started coughing up water. The teenager held onto Tony as he cried. Tony picked up the teen after he got into his suit. He took Peter back to the tower after alerting May and stayed with Peter.
"Dad?"
"Yeah Peter?"
"Thanks for being there."
"No problem son"
Son, what a word.
