Tony POV
—————
"Hey kid?"
"Yeah?"
"How would you feel, if May and I shared custody over you?"
"...wait what?"
"Kid I'm not saying it again."
"YES".
"Okay then".
Tony didn't stop smiling that day.

No POV
Tony looked up from the new web shooters him and Peter were designing. He looked around the room breathing in a deep sigh as he took in his surroundings. The light blue shading across the room from the many high tech screens and holograms showing measurements and fabrics, the smell of the gears and paint, and the slight whoosh of the high quality air conditioning coming into the lab.
His favorite addition to the room though, was the many photos of him and spider-man. Well, in this case, it was Peter Parker. The memories captured inside the frames were his favorite. Most of them were Peter getting awards from school but a few were when Tony would surprise him with new suits.
May had asked Tony if he wanted to share custody after she had to start working more. She knew that Peter and Tony were close, so she had asked.
To say the least, Peter's excitement over the next week was comparable to that of a puppy. And that's why Tony loved the kid.
Peter had become more of a son to him. At first, he was some annoying, reckless superhero that wasn't the best at his job. But as time passed, the kid grew on to him. So when May asked, well, Tony couldn't have been happier.
Peter stayed on most weekends, but came every other week or so to work on his suit. Whenever Peter was in the lab, that's when Tony and Pepper has the most fun. The quirky jokes and the funny quips were enough to make them smile for days.

Tony had never told the ex-Avengers of his, well, adopted son. He never planned to, there wasn't really a point. So when he got a notification of the rouges coming up the elevator while Peter was doing homework in the kitchen, he panicked.
"Peter! Uhh... go to your room! I have a surprise!!"
"Uhh...but I'm not done with my homework???"
"IT CAN WAIT!"
Tony shoved Peter out of the room and almost snickered at the confused face Peter had given him.
Tony then "casually" leaned against the wall as the elevator doors opened.
"Heyyyyyyyy...."
Steve looked at him with an odd look. "What are you doing Stark?"
"...nothing".
Natasha walked up to Stark and looked right into his eyes. "He's hiding something".
Tony's eyes widened. "NO I'M NOT".
The rouges only looked confused.
"No, I think Nat is right. It kinda smells like...kids, and the fact that there is a go go squeeze on the table" Clint said as he sniffed the air.
Steve looked at Clint. "Does that even have a smell? Never mind that. Tony? What's going on".
"Guys I promise nothin-"
"Hey Tony? Can I come in....now???"
The avengers all looked up to see a teenage boy with soft brown curls and doe eyes looking at them with a quite surprising look. He rubbed the back of his neck and looked at Tony.
"Uhhhh...hi?"
When no one answered, he promptly turned around and walked back to his room.
Steve was the first to talk: "I'm not even going to say anything".
Natasha looked at Tony and looked back at the hallway in which Peter had disappeared. "He's mine. You are not getting him back".
And that's how Peter, was introduced to his new family.

The Way Ahead
What do you do when you don't fit in? Edwin never really felt many connections to other people, but as a physics student, that was fine. He didn't really need it, anyway. He was content to peel back the mysteries of the universe... not that there were many left to find. Modern-day research was just too well-established, too well-trodden for any single enthusiast to make any significant headway. But that doesn't apply to other worlds. Not ones where magic and Skills run rampant, where well-defined roles and Classes dominate much of society with little room for novel experimentation from its residents. That kind of world would be perfect for an overeager, newly-minted Alchemist to make his mark. Things are never that easy, though. The Way Ahead is a very slice-of-life story following the story of someone trying to find his place in a world that doesn't know what to do with him. Expect lots of science, lots of alchemy, a few sarcastic quips by the System, and lots of exploration involving the world, self-discovery, and above all, science. After all, further research is always required. Updates every other day at 9 AM PST. Congratulations! For writing a story during the month of November, you have unlocked the Royal Road Writathon Participant path!

Katra
Kardin lived a happy and good life. That is, till he was given a strange orb by an even stranger man, maybe even a demon. He watches as his village is burned, the villagers slaughtered and his friend devoured. He escapes into the Jungle of The Gods, a place of ancient ruins and deadly animals. There, he is changed and his fate diverges from what should have been his death. Now he must forge his own path in a world of great beauty and power, where death lurks around the corner and battles between veritable gods are fought. Where nations clash and ancient beings destory civilizations on whims. But unseen cogs move under the surface, events transpiring beyond simple understanding. Strange and powerful items called Artifacts have started to reappear across the land of Auren, empowering their wielders far beyond what cultivation can give. The Traezar Empire and all of Auren are on the precipice of war and strange beings have started to emerge, all with an agenda of their own. Chaos is brewing, and Kardin must survive it, all while trying to attain vengeance and understand his strange and anomalous Katra. ***Current Schedule*** I am currently releasing 1 3,000(Sometimes I end up writing waaaay more) word chapter halfs every week. If there is not some sort of notice as to why I have vanished, then I'm probably dead. Let's hope I don't die then, eh? *Ducks under flying knife* I own this cover, put my own blood, sweat and an hour of my time into it. Ahahaha! This story is inspired (I stress this word, as because most of the story is different) by Will Wight’s Cradle. I highly recommend you read it! (Please for gods sake, if you have something to say, please do it in a curteous fashion. I don’t need any more maniacs flying at me and trying to stab me with sporks, I am already insane enough to fill that role.*Winks*) **What is This Story?** Think cultivation mashed with western fantasy, put into a pot to boil and then drunk while it's pipping hot. All the while a mad man(me) cackles insanely over the pot, stirring. It draws from xianxia lightly, which means no exasperated angry young masters. No “genuis” or “prodigy” MC, one that is not OP, or anything of the like. If you don’t like cultivation novels, this might still be up your alley. MC focuses on “Life Shaping”, see poll 2 for more Info. Warning! If your are squeamish, that gore and traumatizing content tag is there for a reason. I shall dive into both bloody and disturbing scenes and the questionable ethics of manipulating life, and some of it won’t be pretty. With a dose of realism added in. I do add my own evi- I mean despic- no, sorry, interesting twists aswell. >:) Also, I HATE info dumps! *Steps out of the way of a charging semi* Still not dead! Arc 1 (Kindling): Chapter 1 - 13 Arc 2 (Metempsychosis): Chapter 14 - 29 Arc 3 (???): Chapter 30 - ??? A disclaimer, I am new author and am still feeling out my limitations. This story is my hope of bettering my writing skills and to have fun. Buckle up and enjoy the insane journey that is Katra. (Pronounced as cah-tra)
