Chapter Four: Wet "Willies"

“Caleb,” I groan as something cool and wet touches my arm. “Caleb,” it taps me again only this time I slap it back.

Ha, take that you evil- “Reed what the hell I told you not to touch me!” I snap my eyes open and sure enough Reed’s standing over me with nothing but a towel around his waist and water droplets streaming down his chest. If I like guys right now would be an ideal situation to be in. But I don’t and I never ever will! And even if I did Reed would certainly not be the wet guy I’d want leaning over my bed. Nope. Not even if he’s a lot more fit than I thought.

Suddenly I feel a little, eh, bad about myself appearance.

I could have a six-pack if I tried! I just haven’t tried.

“Well good morning princess,” he smirks shaking out his hair. A few drops of water fall onto face. I grumble.

“First, don’t ever call me that again, and second, what the hell are you doing waking me up? Put some clothes on!”

He stands up straight and beams. “Now where’s the fun in wearing clothes princess?”

I groan and turn away from him. Maybe if I just ignore it, it’ll go away.

“Anyways, your mom told me to wake you up. We’re hitting the town today.” I don’t even have to look at him to know he’s smirking. I can hear it in his voice.

I give in and sit up. “Couldn’t you have put on clothes first?” I stand and push past him. I really need to pee. “Your naked body is not what I want to wake up to.”

I open the door but before I can escape, Reed places one hand on it and forces it shut. He leans in and softly whispers, “Then why is it that I want to wake up with yours, under me.”

The blood rushes to my cheek as he playfully bites my ear.

The hell was that?!

"Listen, Reed," I ball my hands into fists. "I don't need your shit today. Just leave me alone!"

Reed looks down, frowning. Finally I've stopped this crap!

"Nah."

Wait, what?

"Maybe I would have stopped if you asked nicely, but since you didn't I'm going to keep this up until I break you." He winks. "Which shouldn't take too long considering you're already staring at my sexiness."

"Am not!" I grumble. "A-and I'm going to tell my mom what you’re doing to me!" 

He chuckles and walks over to his bag. "Like I care, I don't want to be here just as much as you don't want me here," he pulls a snug fitting dark gray shirt on. It instantly clings to his wet skin. "So go ahead and tell your mom. I'll get to go home. That’s what we both want." 

Well now I can't tell my mom. He's been doing all of this just to get me to tell so he can go home! The sneaky bastard! Two can play at this game!

"You know what Reed, I'd like to see you try and break me." I may make this summer hell for myself but I'm making it worse for him.

He narrows his eyes. "You know what princess, I underestimated you. You're a little bitch."

That's right pretty boy, get mad. I can take your flirting but you won't survive living in this house for a whole summer. Not if I have anything to do with it.

"You know what, I like you."

I freeze.

"I have a feeling you and I are going to be great friends. You just need to be a little less of a, heh, dork."

I sigh. "Listen, Reed, I don't want to be your friend. I don't want anything to do with you! You are nothing but a stupid-"

"Caleb!" Mom gasps. My eyes go wide. "I can't believe you would say such things about Reed!"

Reed hides his snicker and then frowns. "I don't know what I did to upset him!"

"Oh don't play stupid with me," I hiss. "You know exactly what I'm talking about!"

"Boys!" She yells sounding actually mad. "You two are going to get along weather you like it or not." She steps out of the room, slamming the door behind her. "You are staying in there until you're friends! We'll go to town tomorrow!" Mom stomps off.

"Great, you had to go and get us stuck in here!" Reed collapses on his air mattress. It's now that I notice he still has on only a towel and it's to fall off.

Really. He needs to pull it back up I feel uncomfortable.

"Can you uh, fix your, uh, towel?" I ask looking everywhere but at him.

"Nah, the breeze is nice." He stretches out his legs. "Ah, that's nice."

"I hate you." I say, snapping my eyes closed. "I hate you so, so much."

"Love you too princess."

Mom finally gives in and lets us out of the stuffy room. Lucky Reed was decent enough to put some pants on before she came in. Reed's "thing" is something my mom should not have to see. Ever. During the time I was locked in, I did manage to finish a pretty good sketch. I've been practicing my realistic style. I'm not the best but I'm getting there.

"Hey," Reed stops me before I exit my- our room. "I know you probably won’t like this, but I was watching you draw."

I blush a little bit. I usually let no one watch me draw. I'm afraid they'll think it sucks or something. Hell I don’t even show my family. Josie and Ethan are another story though. Well all like to draw so I feel comfortable with them seeing the finished project.

"I know, I know. It sucked. I usually draw anime but I got tried and wanted to change it up. I'm sorry your eyes had to-"

"It was really good."

What?

"What?"

"I said your drawing was really good." He smiles kindly. "You're a good drawer. Maybe you'll draw me something one day?"

I blush a little more, and look down quickly. Hopefully he didn't see that. “I, um, I guess so.”

"Thanks! And I'm sorry I was being such an ass. I just had so much planned this summer, and I was so pissed when I found out I couldn't do any of them." I glance to up see frowning a little.

Well now I feel bad.

"I'm sorry." I mumble. "I didn't, I mean, I never really thought about how you felt."

"It's fine, he waves me off. I was being an ass. But from now on I'll be nice and maybe this summer will turn out, nice."

Reed's done something that I'd never thought he would.

He made me smile.
