I was eating breakfast with Marie as Cole got ready. Marie was so much fun to hang out with. She's like that really cool and really chill mom.

"I'm really glad you befriend Cole. Ever since he met you, he's been doing his nebulizer and taking his inhaler with him. That boy was always so stubborn. He kept saying he was fine without it." Marie shakes her head

"Aha! So I'm not the only stubborn one in this relationship" I say. My eyes widen as I realize my mistake; My face turns bright red.

"FRIENDSHIP!! I mean friendship. We're friends. That's all. We're JUST friends." I say

"Uh huh" Marie smirks widely at me. My face goes impossibly red. Cole comes down and slings an arm on my shoulder.

"What's going on?" He asks

I beg Marie with my eyes not to tell him and she laughs.

"Nothing, Sweetie. Alexa and I were just talking about some stuff." She winks at me

"Okaaayyy" Cole says

"Well you two better be off now! Don't wanna be late for school" she says

Cole and I say bye to her then head off for school.

"I can not believe I am riding in a friggin Lamborghini!!" I squeal

"Well believe it" Cole laughs

As we're headed to school, I realize something. I'm taking a ride with Cole Reynolds. Cole Reynolds, the most popular guy in school. He's known as a player, a fuck boy and a bad boy. He's loved by many fan girls/ sluts who are very possessive over him. All the sluts in school crowd him every morning when he gets out of his car. But today is different, today I'm riding with him. I'll be getting out of the car with him. And all the jealous sluts will be watching me. My eyes widen in realization.

"Cole!!" I yell

"What?!" He says shocked

"Drop me off here." I say

"What? Why?" He asks

"Cole, I'm gonna get straight to the point. I get enough bullying by just being myself. If I get out of the car with you, your sluts will bully me even more." I say

"Aww come on. We're friends now right? We can hang around each other. Anyone who says no can go fuck off." He says

"Cole, I know we're friends. But every girl who's around you gets glared at, and I have enough of that." I say

He sighs and pulls over a few blocks away from school. I smile and take my stuff.

"Thanks Cole!"

He sighs and nods before driving off. I put on my headphones and walk to school. When I arrive at school Cole was surrounded by his sluts, just as expected. Chase and Robin were next to him. Olivia was standing beside Robin and he had his arm around her waist. The girls were mostly crowding Cole and Chase. I chuckle at the sight.

Cole catches my gaze and I smile at him. He smiles back and I give a slight wave before walking into school. I walked over to my locker and saw Jessica there. I smiled and hugged her tightly.

"Hey!!!" I smile

"Hey Alexa!!"

It's been a long time since I was able to talk with my friends properly, so Jess and I had a lot of catching up to do. We were talking and laughing around when Cole and his friends walked down the hallway. Ariana and Olivia were amongst them. Jess and I glanced at each other and snickered. What a dramatic entrance.

"Gosh it's like I don't know them anymore." Jess says and I nod in agreement

"They've changed."

"And Ariana has become even more girly if that's possible."

I nod in agreement.

It was now lunch time. I spent the day either with Jess or by myself. I was too shy to go up to Olivia and Ariana because they've suddenly become popular. Jess and I decided to not seat with them too, seing as there were other popular table in the table now. It's not that Jess and I are avoiding them or something like that. It's just that we know we'd feel out of place around them.

"Oh hey can you give me a ride to work? If I skip one more day I'll probably be fired." I say

"Sure! Café or?"

"Café" I say

"Well then sure! I'll even wait till your done. I'll study for the Calculus test there." She chuckles

Her and I talked all throughout lunch. Though from time to time I feel myself being watched. I end up looking over to the popular table and see Cole watching me. I'd never hold eye contact. Just a quick glance and then back to focusing on Jess.

My last period was thankfully over but I still had to wait outside for Jess. She got held up by the teacher. I was leaning on her car waiting for her. I was on my phone with one earphone in my ear. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I look up to see Cole's green eyes.

"Hey Lexi, you got the wrong car. My car's over there" He says pointing to his car

"I know that. Jess and I are going out today." I say and he nods

"Okay...can I come?" He asks

"It's fine. You go hang out with your other friends." I wave him off

"Lexi...you didn't eat with me at lunch today" he says and I nod

"You didn't ask me" he says

"Cole, we live in the same house now. I can see you doing your nebulizer." I chuckle

"It's just not the same. We broke our routine" he frown and pouts

I shrug. I knew we broke our routine and I agree that it was weird. But it was for the best.

"Hey Alex!! Sorry to keep you waiting. Let's goo-Cole?" Jess asks as she walks over to us

"Hey Jess" Cole nods

"Something you need?" She asks

"Nah. I'll be on my way." He shakes his head and walks to his car

Jess glances at me, but I give her a shrug. She brushes it off and drives me to work.

When we got there my jaw drops. I recognize that Lamborghini. Why the hell is he here. Not much people knew about this place since it wasn't that popular. The only people who come here are college students, business men and people who need a place to work in silence. I shake my head and put on my uniform at the back seat of Jess' car.

The uniform was really cute. The girls uniform was a white long sleeved blouse with the sleeves stopping at the elbows. Boys wore white button ups that and they rolled the sleeves to their elbows. They also had a black tie, may it be bow or the long ones, they wore a tie. We all wore black slacks and then black flats for girls, black leather shoes for guys.

I got out of the car and Jess looks up from her phone. She had her books with her.

"Took you long enough." She says

I shrug and grab my things before we head inside the café. When we open the door, we are greeted by the smell of coffee. That and my fellow worker, Jordan. He's a good friend of mine in this café. He's in college right now and is trying to earn a bit more money by working this job.

"Alexa!!!" He hugs me tightly

"You're finallyyyy back!!" He says smiling widely at me

"Yeahhhhh. Sorry for making you go through a lot." I smile sheepishly at him

"It's fine. Hi Jess!! How have you been? Long time no see" He says

"You know that the only reason I come here is for Alexa's amazinggg frappé" she says. Jordan pouts and glares at her.

I shake my head at them and go into the staff room to put my stuff down. I went behind the counter and prepared Jess' usual drink.

"Thanksss Alexa" She says

"This is not free. You gotta pay for this." I say sticking my tounge out to her. She huffs and takes out her wallet and hands it to Jordan, who was tending the cash register. As I finished making her drink I heard a roar of laughter.

I turned to see who it was and saw Cole laughing with his friends. He was with Robin,Chase,Olivia, Ariana and Anabelle. Cole had his arm around Ariana. I felt a pang of jealousy as I see my friend in his arms. I shake my head of these thoughts and serve Jess her coffee.

No one else was in this coffee shop so I sat down with Jess. Jess sat at her regular table, which was unfortunately right in front of Cole and his friends. Ugh why would I care???

"Mmmmm. I missed your frappé Alex." Jess moans as she takes a sip from her drink.

"I know" I smirked

Just then I hear a girlish squeal. Jess and I look at each other and chuckle.

"ALEXA!!! JESS!!!"

Our dear friend, Ariana, squeals as she hugs us. The others look at us and Cole's eyes widen in shock.

"Omg I totally forgot you worked here." Ariana says to me

"You work here?!" Cole exclaims

I nod and smile at them. I open my mouth to say something, but I am cut off by Jordan.

"Excuse me, would you please tone it down. We're at a café, not a club." Jordan says. Jess and I chuckle and Jordan glares at us.

"Oh I'm so sorry. I was just happy to see my friends, that's all!!" Ariana says batting her eyes at him. Jordan nods at her with a blank face. That blank face soon turns to a teasing glare as he pokes my nose.

"And you little missy, you're here to suffer the long torturous hours with me. I've missed you and you leave me behind again." He says

"I'm sowwy Jordie" I smile sheepishly at him

I can feel Cole's stare. I glance and saw him glaring at Jordan with an unreadable expression. I brush it off like usual; I take Jordan's hands and hands and drag him away.

All the while I feel Cole's stare on me, on Jordan and I's hands specifically. A thought came to mind.
