《Struggles ✔》Chapter 44.

Alexa's POV
I was no loger sick! I got back to my studies and to my job. Today was Friday and the others wanted to come over to the club to have some fun.
I dressed in my uniform and found that it has gotten tighter over time. I sucked in a deep breath when I realized what this meant. I've been getting fatter...
I glare at myself in the mirror and proceed to scold myself. How could I let this happen?! This is absolutely terrible. God look at that roll of fat. My cheeks have grown too! How did I not notice this before?!
"Stop that." Cole's voice snaps me out of my negative thoughts
"What?" I ask in confusion
"You're thinking badly about yourself. Stop it. Whatever you're thinking is not true." He say sternly. He hugs me from behing and leaves kisses on my shoulder.
"Don't you ever think badly about yourself. You're beautiful. Always know that." He says as he kisses my cheek
I smile at him and kiss his cheek. He holds me in his arms and we stay in that position for a while. It was nice to finally be able to hug and kiss Cole without having to worry about it being awkward the next day. I was finally happy.
.
.
.
We arrived at the club and, with my help, my friends got in with no problem. I was currenlty behind the bar mixing up some drinks for them.
"What about you Chase? The old seven-"
"Nope!!! Noooo wayyy!!! That gave me the worst of the worst hang overs man could ever experience." He cuts me off. I laugh and look at Cole. He frantically shakes his head, making me laugh even more.
"Well okay then. Beer?" I suggest. They nod and I get them one each. Soon I watched as Jess drags Chase away. Robin walk off to dance and flirt with some slut. Only Hailey and Cole stayed behind.
"I'm not planning on drinking much today. I'll help you be the designated driver of the night Lex" Cole says.
"Thank god. I didn't want to have to drag 5 drunk ass people to the car. 3 of which are heavy grown ass men" I sigh in relief. I'm literally the shortest of the group and I did NOT want to drag all of their drunk asses back to the car. If they all ended up drunk, then I would just leave them here. Sorry not sorry.
"Well I guess that leaves me as the third wheel" Hailey pouts.
"Actually...I think I can set you up with someone. They're a bit older though" I say as a thought comes to mind.
"It's fine" she shrugs. I looked over the crowd trying to find them. I soon spotted the three making their way to the bar. I grinned and waved at them. Cole and Hailey turned to look at the people I was waving at.
"ALEX!!!!" They yell in unison
"Hey boys!! Long time no see." I chuckle
"Exams." They groan
I glance at the confused Hailey and Cole. They looked at me with questiong eyes.
"Guys ,by the way, this is Cole and Hailey" I introduce
"Woah wait!! Cole?? As in Cole the guy you hate but then ended up dating?!"
"Yup!"
"Well damn. Nice to finally meet you Cole. I'm Oli"
"Bennet"
"Damien"
The three introduce themselves.
"These guys are regulars here. They come here almost every night. I've become close friends with them cause there's always one of them to be the designated driver, and whoever it was I kept them company." I explain

"So who's the designated driver?" I ask as I hand out their drinks
"Damien!!" The two yell. Damien rolls his eyes at the two. Damien is usually the one who loves parties and getting drunk. He always hates it when he has to be the designated driver.
"Dude! Cole! You should come with us. This bar has a secret basement and the manager gave us the permission to turn into our hang out spot. We don't normally use it cause we're up here partying and looking for another one night stand, but since you've got a girlfriend we can't really drag you to do that." Oli says
"Uhm..." Cole glances at me. I smile and kiss his cheek
"Go! I'll be fine." I say. He still looks a bit conflicted and hesitant, but Oli and Bennet don't give him a chance to deny the invite. They grab his arm and drag him with them.
I glanced at Hailey to see her sipping her martini while taking glances at Damien. Damien was actually really hot. He had a scruffy beard that made him look sexy as fuck, especially with that jawline. His voice was deep and masculine. His body was ripped. He is hot as fuck but I was never really interested.
"Hailey right?"Damien turns to face Hails. Hailey blushes and nods.
"Beautiful name." He compliments. She blushes bright red. Getting them together was easier said than done.
I hear some people calling me for a drink, so I make my way over to them. The party had reached it's climax which made me really busy. I wasn't I able to continue hanging out with Hailey and Damien but from what I could see, they were getting along real well. They started dancing not too long ago. I can see them from here.
"Hey Alex." Robin grumbles as he plops down on the seat in front of me.
"Hey. What's gotten you all grumpy? I thought you'd be all happy after you went off with that girl." I say
"Eh. Didn't get far. She was annoying. Can I get a Jack and Coke?"
I prepare his drink and make a martini for myself. I hand him his drink and take a sip of mine.
"So. What's up." I continue to pester him.
"It's nothing. Where are the others?" He asks
"Jess and Chase called a cab and went home to...uhm...yeah...Cole is hanging out with some friends of mine downstairs at their hangout spot and Hailey is getting along with a guy." I inform him. Once I mentioned Hailey, his grip on the glass tightened.
"Yeah. I saw." He grits his teeth. I try to contain the smirk that was trying to make it's way to my face.
"They were really getting along." I say. I observe him as he clenches his jaw. He was so jealous.
"I'm pretty sure Damien is single..." I trail off
"How do you know him?" He asks
"Oh he's a friend. I think he and Hailey will look good together." I smile fondly
"Why are you asking so much?" I finally let the smirk on my face.
"Nothing." He quickly says and averts his eyes
"Alex!!" Damien yells as he walks over to the bar. He was holding a drunk Hailey by the waist. Well she did order a really strong drink...
"Hey! What happened?" I ask, amusement evident in my eyes
"I think she should get home. She's really drunk." He chuckles

"Oh damn...my shift isn't over yet. I still have 30 minutes." I frown
"I'll take her home." He immediately volunteers
"Okay...I'll text you her address. Thanks a lot Damien." I smile gratefully
"No problem Al. I'll probably send Jamie to pick up the boys." He says.
"Okay. Thanks again Damien." I say
"No problem. But I need you to do me a favour." He says seriously
"Uhm sure?" I say, unsure
"Help me take her out on a date?" He says
"You like her." I smirk. I glance at Robin to see him downing his drink. I refill his drink, and he downs it. I refill it again and turn my attention back to Damien.
"So?"
"Yeah I like her. She's not like all other girls. Kinda reminds me of you." He smiles sadly
"You guys look good together." I smile lightly. He thanks me and quickly rushes an almost asleep Hailey to his car. I turn back to Robin.
"Okay...I saw that. Why'd he smile at you like that?" Robin raises his eyesbrows at me.
"...He and I...had a thing once. We really liked each other but..."I trailed off as the memory flashes in my head
"But?"
"He was too consumed in his studies that he kinda just forgot about me. One day I had enough and confronted him. We had a really heated arguement, and he called me a bitch and some other bad things. I couldn't deal with it all anymore so I broke it off, saying it just wasn't working anymore." I say "He was broken hearted and tried so hard to get me back...but I refused."
"Damn..." was all Robin could say
"Yeah... I know. But whatever. It's in the past now." I shrug
"So. Let's get back to the real serious stuff." I say, smirking at him
"You're jealous." I state
"Of what?"
"Of who." I correct him
"You're jealous of Damien cause he's starting to make a move on Hailey. You're jealous cause it's obvious that Hailey will say yes. You're jealous cause Hailey will be happy and you're not the cause of it. You're jealous cause Hailey isn't yours." I smirk at him.
"I don't care." He says, although his actions say otherwise. His jaw was clenched and his knuckles are turning white from gripping the glass too tight. I was afraid that he would break the class
"You like Hailey" I say loudly
"I don't like her. I don't do relationships." He scowls at me
"You can tell me Robin. I promise I won't tell anyone. Don't tell Cole- or anyone for that matter- about Damien and I though." I tell him. He looks at me hesitantly but sighs
"They did say that bartenders were great listeners." He sighs as he runs as hand through his hair. I laugh as I refill his drink
"Many people seem to think so since I have heard a ton of crap from drunk people." I laugh. He chuckles and drinks another sip of his Jack and Coke
"Now I'm warning you this is gonna get really confusing and messed up cause 1. My emotions are confusing and 2. I'm not one to talk about how I feel." He warns. I wave my hand and signal him to start talking
"I don't really know what I feel for Hailey. She's really gorgeous but for some reason I feel like she's way out of my league. Like she's too good for me. That's weird cause I know I can have any girl i want. But Hailey...she's different. I don't know how. I don't even know why I'm thinking like this if I've never really talked to her properly. She's just...i don't fucking know." He groans in frustration as he pulls on his hair. I filled up his glass and he downs it. I could tell he was getting really drunk.
"Then seeing her with that fuckin Damien dude made me so upset for some fuckin reason and i don't know why. Fuck and you know even if i did want to date her I can't. She's so pure and innocent. I'm the complete opposite and my family is so fucked up. She'd run away if she found out about my life and what I've done. She's not even my type for crying out loud!! I don't know why I feel things for her."
"She's nothing to me. She's just another hot girl I wanna fuck. So i decided to fuck some other girl but then i saw her and i just felt guilty. I've never felt that before!!! How the hell does she have such a big impact on my life."
He was getting more and more aggrivated by the second. At this point, he had taken the Jack Daniels from my hand and was drinking it from the bottle. Luckily there was just a little left and I replaced it with a new bottle.
"Fuck. It's all so confusing." He groans
"Robin...come on let's get you home. I know you're confused and frustrated but you have to deal with this yourself. It's hard to control and understand new emotions but trust me, this one is worth feeling." I tell him
"It's not new. All I'm feeling is confusion and frustration." He says
"Confused and frustrated because you don't know what this new emotion is. It'll come to you in time." I say
"I just wanna forget." He groans. He puts down the now empty Jack Daniels on the bar. I noticed the next bartender, coming in with Jamie behind him.
"Hello Ms. Alex. Good to see you again" Jamie says
"Good to see you too Jamie. The boys are downstairs." I say
"Thank you." Jamie says. Jamie walks downstairs to the hangout to fetch the guys .
"Who the hell was that?" Robin slurs
"That was Damien's driver." I say
"Great!!! The dude is fuckin rich. Another reason why Hailey would choose him over me."
"...he's the heir to a really high class company. He's taking up business right now so he could do well when he takes over the company." I give him more info
"Yup!!! He's rich. He's good looking. Why would Hailey even want to go with me" He laughs humorlessly
"Robin..." he cuts me off
"Thanks for listening to me Alex....It feels good to let all that out." He says. He puts his head down all glum
"I now see why everyone likes you so much. Sorry for bullying you before...you're a great girl. You're perfect for Cole" he continues talking
"Oh god I bullied her best friend too. Now i have absolutely no chance with her"
I chuckle. He somehow made the topic about Hailey again. He's seriously whipped but doesn't even know it.
"Hey babe!!" Cole greets me with a big smile. I smile back and hug him tightly
"Heyyy!! Ready to go?" I ask
"Yeah! Where are the others?" He asks
"They all went home. It's just Robin and I left." I say
"Guys?" Robin's voice interrupts out arguing
"Yes Robin?" I ask and look at him. He doesn't respond, instead he vomits on the floor. Cole rushes over to him and rubs his back. I sigh and look over at the guy who will be taking the next shift. He was sighing and heading for the storage room to get the mop.
"I need another drink" Robin grumbles as he wipes his mouth.
"Nope! You're not. We're going home. Let's go." Cole says as he drags Robin out of the chair. He helps him walk all the way to the car with me trailing behind.
"I'll stay with him." I say as I get in the backseat with Robin. Cole chuckles and wishes me a good luck before handing me a lot of barf bags.
"Thanks." I chuckle. Robin lays his head on my lap.
"You're a good person Alex...good good very good person." He mumbles. He cuddles into me and clings onto me. Who knew th Big Bad Robin could be so adorable.
"Hmmm. You're cuddly...you think Hailey is cuddly?" He asks me. I mentally awe when I hear this. It's like all he ever thinks about is Hailey, so cute.
"Hailey loves cuddling. She's a very cuddly person. She lovves hugs." I say
"Really? I'm not much of a hugger, but I would love a hug from Hailey. She's short but not too short. I think she'll fit perfectly in my arms. Don't you think so?" He mumbles. His eyes were droopy and he was slowly starting to fall asleep.
"Yeah...you and her would look good together. I hope you realize that soon...You understand it all when you're drunk. I hope you'll understand when you're sober." I say softly. He's almost fallen asleep, but Cole stopped the car and nudged him. He sleepily looks at Cole.
"Come on man. Let's get you to bed." Cole whispers. Robin hugs me and mumbles bye. Cole helps him inside his house. I transfer to the passenger seat and waited till Cole got back in the car.
"You think he'll realize what he feels for Hailey?" He asks as he gets into the car
"If you can, then so can he." I say. He laughs and kisses my cheek
"I'm glad I realized it. Robin should hurry cause this feeling is actually really great once you admit it to the person and the person feels the same." He grins
"Yup." I say in agreement
