FLUKE
I entered the conference hall an hour earlier the scheduled time, as I normally do. I looked for my space, a small table on the far corner of the room facing the floor to ceiling glass window, sat on the chair, opened my laptop, reviewed the story I was working on and got lost into oblivion.
I did not realize that I've already been writing for more than thirty minutes when my phone started ringing and my mind was back to earth.
"Newie!" I said.
"You know me so well." I answered with a laugh, a little louder than my normal voice.
he said.
I turned my head around and looked at the people sitting at the conference table. My eyes widened as soon as I realized that I wasn't alone in the room anymore, and most of them were looking at me. OMG! They could've heard me while talking on the phone.
"Oh. My. God!" I exclaimed before covering my mouth with my hand and turned to the glass window. "Shocks, Newie! I didn't notice that there are already a lot of people here. Ugh!" I said almost inaudible.
I heard him laughing on the other line.
"In Timbuktu. Collecting some sands!" I said sarcastically.
Then he laughed again.
I buried my face in my hands as soon as the call ended. You're such an embarrassment, Fluke! I repeatedly told myself, then I heard someone called me. I turned and stood when I recognized the woman standing a few feet from where I was.
"Oh my! Sammy!" I said and gave her a buss on her cheek. "So, you're part of the cast?" then she nodded. "I'm so glad you are. I suggested New to consider you as my lead. I really want you to be my Jane. I know you can give justice to my lead." I said matter-of-factly.

"Seriously? Don't put your expectations so high on me. I'm afraid I might disappoint you."
"Don't be. I know you can do it." I said with a smile.
"Oh, wait. . . here. Please sign my book." She handed me the latest copy of the book I published a few weeks ago.
"Oh, why did you buy? I could just give you a copy."
"Hey! I'm a fan. F-A-N. Why would I ask you for a copy? I will do everything just to get your book and autograph. If I had to compete to anyone just to get your book, I would. Asking you for a copy would be my last option." she said, as if I hurt her pride.
I held her hand to calm her down. "Okay. Okay. You're such a drama queen. Okay, here! I'll sign it now!" I saw her smile widely. "You know what, you're the only famous person I know like this. Your fangirling over me is kinda weird already." I said while signing her book.
"Hey, me, too! I'm your number one fan. Sammy is just your number two." New said when he approached us. Giving Sammy a kiss on her cheek. He walked near me and gave me the bear hug he usually gives. For a man as chubby as him, everyone would always want to hug him. I ALWAYS like to hug him. He's so fluffy.
"Okay, fine. I will accept the fact that I'm only the second. What am I against a director? Hmp! I might lose my part in this movie if I go against him." Sammy said and the three of us laughed, then we went back to our places.

No More Respawns
Synopsis: The first time Allen died, he was forced back into a living hell where death is temporary, and power is all that matters. With evil and depravity as the rule, tragedy becomes comedy and life becomes an act. Only a deal with a shady god can get him back to his old life, but what happens if there’s nothing left to save? Maybe hell isn’t so bad if you have infinite lives… until you don’t. Needless to say, it’s all fun and games until there’s no more respawns. Foreword: This story is meant primarily as an action adventure and secondarily as a dark and nihilistic comedy. It may not be readily apparent in the beginning, but that's what I have planned (I feel the need to emphasize the dark; don’t rage at me if it gets too ‘traumatizing’ or something). I’m going to take my time with this, so it won’t immediately inundate you with doom and gloom. This is also a comedy, remember? On that note, if for some cursed reason you just can't handle either the references or the jokes, I am willing to battle in the comments. Anyway, I still put a significant amount of effort into the system, so I hope you enjoy that part. It is a little bulky, I'll admit to that, but I wanted to try something new and its more fun when there's more depth to it. Regardless, I still have a lot of fun doing math in the middle of writing a fictional story (/s). I also want to see if I can keep from messing up the pacing. Many times, I end up going too fast because I'm afraid of the story getting boring, which tends to ironically have the opposite effect. I'm still learning I suppose; we'll see how things go. Lastly, please leave reviews and comments, they really mean a lot to me and (usually) help me improve considerably. I'll be asking for feedback in the polls and I do still check the old ones from time to time. Notes: The story takes a bit of time to develop; give it time if you're here for drama, grimdark, or antihero. The system is all blue boxes and I'm not half-assing the numbers. Chapters will be between 1k and 2k words usually. I always use the oxford coma, fight me. Might drop if rating falls below 4 stars, idk. It depends on how my life is going. Cover drawn by yours truly in MS paint. (I have skill, I know)

Home of Laplace
I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar mountain peak standing tall above me like seeing a skyscraper from the street. Soon the chilling burn of the snow that covered me began to invade my senses and I flung my torso upward, sitting up straight. I grabbed my head in confusion as my eyes surveyed the area around me: The corner of a mountain wall stood menacingly in front of me accompanied by thin, dangerous looking paths on either side. The likes of which only adrenaline-seeking psychopaths would use. I turned my head backwards and felt my heart drop as what looked like an infinitely long freefall met my gaze. I was sitting on the ledge of a snow-covered mountain. "CRKKKK" A heart-shaking croaking sounded from above me further up the mountain and I jolted backwards at the impossibly loud sound. 'Shit, wasn't there nothing behind me?' The sound of cracking stone accompanied the heart dropping sensation of descension. As I plunged down backwards, the last thing I saw was the deep-set brown eyes of that blue-skinned monstrosity further up the mountain. ----------------------------------------------------- Levi Laplace is a former genius biochemistry student that died a simple and laughable death on earth.
